One of your better videos Ryan! We need more people with your perspective. We have a person at our church named Bobby who has Down Syndrome and he's an absolute joy! He just turned 44 and like Jimmy, has been working a job at the same place for 15 years. We take him out for lunch one Sunday a month and do things with him on some holidays. He doesn't drive but he sure can give you exact directions to all of his favorite restaurants and he doesn't forget any dates!
I don't know the history of Bobby's parents but he does have a brother that doesn't have anything to do with him which is sad. I think the way you handled your friend who said your parents were selfish was perfect. Sometimes people are just ignorant and need to be told a different way to think about things. Sadly there is a high rate of abortions for Down Syndrome pregnancies.

There are actually 5 players left from any of the Brooklyn teams.
Bob Aspromonte, Tommy Brown, Jim Gentile, Fred Kipp, and Sandy Koufax.
Excellent video about a great man. I'm sorry to hear about your Cerebral Palsy.

I wasn't entirely sure how many former Brooklyn Dodgers were still with us. Thanks for updating us on that and I would have never gotten Fred Kipp! Carl Erskine was so much more than a ballplayer - and a very solid one! I was happy to include his amazing story abd that of his son. My CP keeps me on my toes for sure, but at the end of the day, I think it was the best thing to have have happened.
