So many recognizable melodies interwoven into his works for Berserk, many such as this one slightly varied from its original to adhere to a different mood or time but still having lingering sentiments from its previous version. Ex-Stepdad once got this game and I found it kind of interesting.....then I discovered when I was getting into Manga/Anime at the same time that this was a SERIES and this game was a side story of sort that REALLY got me interested and have been a fan of this series (I found it funny how ALOT of series I love were those I ended up being an acidental fan to them when they started coming to America! Final Fantasy 7, Fire Emblem GBA/Blazing Sword, ETC! Played them all on whims or checked them out in the case of Macross. And became a SUPER fan of them as in DAY 1 purchase of anything new, the Futurema meme of "Shut and take my money) Rest in Piece Kentaro Miura and Akira Toriyama! Thank you for all the memories I will cherish (as these series I also got into during MAJOR moments of my life! I found the strength to never give into those moments of despair do to these series! Kids may have been wanting to emulate the Heroes cause "Power" and I did so as well! But as a lover of fiction when I learned to read made me VERY observent of the themes of a story! Even a BAD story I can see what they were trying to do, which is why only the ABSOLUTE WORSE WITH NO THEMES OF NOTE are hated by me and I can love Average as well!). With Berserk, even when things get worse and crappy. Guts shows himself as great not for the BEYOND HUMAN things he does, but more the fact he has never given up no matter how bad it got. That is why I can like characters similar like Naofumi from Shield Hero and the Goblin Slayer. It's not the meme stuff or anything (Especially the EDGELORD crap), even though Guts still stands as King above ALL inspired by him. It's the HUMAN factor I like about Guts. He's not an idiot hero, naive, dense for the sake of dense. Hell the "Power of Friendship" is done ALOT better in Dark series like Berserk as it makes more sense and isn't as CRINGE as the Edgelord crap that loves opposing it! (Frankly Berserk to me mocks BOTH sides of that! Edgelord loners who think themselves MIGHTY being alone and ETC, well Guts is shown to be good, but SOOO many times if not for those "Friendships" or people giving A FUCK ABOUT HIM like Puck he'd have been on his way to HELL as set by the "Contract/Brand" LONG AGO! But with the Friendship thing, well we see the MUTALNESS of the whole thing! Guts Friends and Allies are not afraid to call him out on his foolish actions and frankly we got to see how well EDGELORD Guts does against Femto when they meet again for the first time since the Eclpse! Femto makes a FUCKING JOKE of him and outright did give to much care about him AT ALL. He wasn't even at his LEVEL. Frankly speaking Guts never grew past the point he was despite ALL the Apostles he's killed! Because Godhand are a DIFFERENT level compared to Apostles! Hell best to say Apostles are rated in "Just powerful then the strongest Human" to "NEARING Godhand" levels to "a Stage BEFORE the Godhand" as we got with the Emperor! But no matter what, even those as the Emperor's stage are well we are shown a HUGE difference between them.....and then you get to the "Idea of Evil" that MADE the Godhand, Apostles and everything crapsack in the world of Berserk, and the HORRIBLE truth of WHY it exists! Frankly speaking the best ending I can see for Berserk since thankfully it's being continued by those who closely worked with Kentaro when he made the series and have all his ideas and the respect to see them realized. Is something to BALANCE the Ideal of Evil! I've always believed the IDEAL of Good DOES exist and may have helped Guts SUBTLY through small actions to try and ESTABLISH that balance. But because well we know how it goes, Evil is strong because Good seems RARE as the days get worse and worse and people embrace evil abit TOO much then they should) But yeah I think it's best to say I don't HATE all Edgelord stuff, just as I don't LOVE all Power of Friendship things! Frankly I love a BALANCE of them. Even though techincally not Edgelord. I do find myself ANNOYED with NAIVE TO THE POINT OF STUPID characters who are ABIT unrealistic in the Naive department and writers make the mistake of confusing TOO DUMB TO LIVE BRAIN DEAD Naive and "I couldn't have known that nor had a reason to be CAUTIOUS at that moment in time" type of Naive! or a character GROWS OUT OF BEING NAIVE as a character HAS to grow, otherwise people start to disassociate with them! Power of Friendship is also great WHEN it's not PARASITIC but more Symbosis in which ALL are benefitting! Frankly having the HERO/MC save the day 24/7 with LITTLE TO NOT aid from the Friends makes them feel like Parasites! I frankly ALWAYS love seeing those moments when the Hero DOES get saved by their comrades and not in the "hold off the villain" manner more like they either BEAT the villain or even join and help the Hero as equal partners or decent support that isn't useless! Like Villain's MOCKING a healer till that Healer friend REALLY closes the gap as the villain isn't healing fast from their own injuries even with their own LITTLE healing compared to the Healing the Hero is getting from their friend (I especially like it when in this example, yeah everyone can heal so what makes a Healer useful, till you remember they can SUPER CHARGE the healing and add onto it! So frankly NOT having a HEALER to take concerns off of healing is FOOLISH) Thank you for anyone who stayed on to my tangents! and DIDN'T leave a "Too Long Didn't Read" when it was unnecessary to do and pretty dickish at that TO do on someone. And those who did, well I have nothing to say that you haven't been insulted already with! So I'll save us ALL the time and just tell you, your being insulted without me having to reply to ya. So save yourself the time you'll waste telling me you don't care hmm...k'ay 😈

Hirasawa is the only person to make a soundtrack for a sh*ty Dreamcast adaptation of one of the greatest stories ever made go unreasonably hard for no f*cking reason other than he can and seems to be the only person able to understand the pure emotion and passion put into the story by Miura and Mori
Isn't there a version of this that plays in the game that doesn't have any lyrics? I love S. H.'s sexy voice, but I'd really like to hear it without it, I'm interested. Edit: Like, this version does not play in the game. Period(unless I missed it in the credits). Where exactly do people get this version from, and why is the lyricless version impossible to find?
I suppose because game-rips of the soundtracks are rare and hard to come by. Meanwhile the officially released soundtrack lacked that lyric-less version.
I thought it an interesting touch for Miko's apostle form to have baby/child-like creatures (the mandragora) that if disturbed or harmed will draw all the infected individuals to their aid. It is like Miko is forcing out of people (care and concern for the suffering young) what he himself was denied in life.
