I enjoy your show cheif. I learned some more today. Im glad i saved some 4" flakes 40 years ago. I knew they were tools. Uniface flakes. Some flaked on "both sides". One looks like a turtle. I shit you not. Found it near a creek?

Congrats! Very cool! Remember, most of these long BLADES are uni-face tools Stay w/ us, my Friend.

I have a piece that is shaped like a turtle, in my opinion, too.

More than welcome...so many possibilities and we may never know...here's some maybe's... perhaps to "score " the object for later work or to draw, scratch or place a significant marker on a substance. Again...educated guesses. But its fun bringing those thoughts forward. LOL Sharing is most important.

Have you found any weapons? Or pieces that maybe go to atlatls? Clubs ect. Have you ever found anytools that were made from fossils?

      Weapons?
No historic Indian brass, iron or copper etc found.
      Atlatl parts?
Yes, but all the various slate pieces were broken
      Fossil tools
In my area (east central Ohio) and some what North central Ohio, we find coshocton flint which contains fossils in a wide range/ amts,
especially Nellie Chert which is most often suspect, lol. But no “fossil tools” per say.
      Thanks , all good questions....stay w/ us!

What's your opinion on "game stones"? I don't adhere to the theory myself. Just hammer and pecking stones IMO. Great video with lots of interesting things

Game balls? The jury is still out...I often toy w/ the idea of balls for a bolo sling. Our "Ancients" learned a lot from our southern neighbors! The balls would be larger to tie-up and take-down larger animals.
