Very clear and concise presentation, many thks, got an Amazon lilygo all flashed and seeing data. I actual got this unit to read some RF 433MHz remote controls, I do see a few devices, i guess the neighbours as i don't recognize them, but I don't see any data in MQTT Explorer at all when any of the remotes handsets are operated and they are 433.92MHz devices. Any idea's on what i may be doing wrong. I did use the exact same firmware as you. Also, my board 'looks' identical to yours and there is a minature toggle switch on the edge of the PCB by the micrUSB socket, any idea what that is/how it's used as my board came with no data whatsoever. My only question is about having two temperature sensors of the same type (ACURITE-606TX-162 & ACURITE-606TX-166) and they don't have an option to switch channels. If I change the last three digits on both of these to a plus (so I don't have battery change problems), they will be in conflict - won't they? Is there any way to get around the battery change problem with these two sensors?
You might be able to tune into 917MHz on the 915MHz model. I think the new version of OpenMQTTGateway makes it easier to change the frequency although I haven't played with it yet. Did you catch my video on doing a similar thing with a Raspberry Pi and SDR?
Thanks for making this video! It's very helpful to me. I have installed the gateway and it connects to the MQTT broker, but it seems I only get status messages (`LWT`, `version`, etc) and no device messages (the `RTL_433toMQTT` topic). This is not something that you have also run into?
I have a LilyGo TTGO 915Mhz model. I was trying to get it to work with my 915Mhz power meter but it wasn't able to work... but they have released an update that might work. I have yet to test it out. The Temp sensor is traditional 433 MHz? or has Lora technology hence the long range? If not then what temperature sensor is available that leverage LORA technology for extended range, cheers
@@grant1984 You can apply this tutorial to a different MQTT broker. I'm using Mosquitto broker add-on in Home Assistant. MQTT Explorer is just an MQTT client that can be used with any MQTT broker. In this case, I'm using MQTT Explorer to view messages on the Mosquitto broker.
I have tree temp-sensors, Fineoffset with very limited range around 1 inch. They works well with Telldus. Have I missed some settings or is the switch that @joeking5211 talked about of importance ?
From what I understand, it can transmit, but I don't have experience with that. You might find some information on this page: docs.openmqttgateway.com/use/rf.html#rtl-433-device-decoders

Yes I did but it seems pretty complicated, the liligo is so much easier

It is a traditional 433MHz. It doesn't use LoRa technology. I'm not sure about temp sensors that use LoRa.

What distace you got? Mine sensor, from Ali.. same look, badly reaching in range from other room, with same TTGo board. Thanks!

Not sure the actual distance but my board is in my house and I can see sensors in my neighbor's houses.
Is it possible to use the lora32 as a transmitter to control 433Mhz devices like fans etc?
