This is music to my ears, a voice that outside of Heart is second to none, I could listen to her sing the phone book...

I think it's a mistake that she didn't have or get many lead songs. This song is the one that showcases her vocal ability

I agree, I think it's Nancy's best ever. Should've been a single too, instead of one of the other Ann songs it easily could've replaced.

In any group that didn’t include Ann, Nancy would have been the standout vocalist.

Exactly. She had everything to shine on her own, but next to someone with a voice like Ann's, anyone would have trouble getting noticed. I always feel like we missed a great soloist. And now it's late.🙁

Good? Yes. Standout? I disagree. Nancy has a fine voice, but it's not particularly memorable or distinctive. It's certainly functional, but it wouldn't carry a group like Ann's has carried Heart all these years. I'm not sure Heart would have really separated itself from all the other breaking bands back in 1975 without Ann's voice to go around with all the other obvious talent.

@@JavierParede Do you see how you fall into the theme of always comparing her to Ann? She's not Ann. And if you looked at other options you would realize that there are many singers who have done well, without having Ann's voice (and not even close). Particularly I see Nancy more as a soloist than as a group. But she definitely could have had a career on her own, if people weren't constantly comparing her to her sister, who certainly has a great voice, but she's not the only voice in the world. I've heard enough from Nancy, even outside of Heart, to know what I'm talking about.

@@joyk555 No, not really. I did make the comparison but my comment was my opinion independent of Ann. I love Nancy, but I'd much rather listen to her guitar playing than her singing.

@@JavierParede I respect if you like her just as a guitarist, and that's fine, but saying she "couldn't carry a band like Heart?" When I think of Nancy as a singer, I don't even think of Heart (or that kind of rock in general). Do you remember what she really sang before Heart? Even some of the guys in Heart were not convinced about her joining the band because she was a folk/acoustic singer. Even she herself has said that she "was forced to rock." So when I say that she could have had her own career (even if you weren't a fan of hers), I place her within her own concept and not within Heart's. Sheryl Crow, for example, doesn't have a distinctive or great voice, but did that stop her from being successful within her own concept?
