I went to the store to get toilet paper. A security guard saw a car throw a package out the window, traveling approximately 40 mph. Animal control showed up and said because of the breed and how packed they were they’d only keep her for three days before euthanizing her. Not acceptable for me. I opened my truck door and told her to get in. Which she came running. She was about 7 months and I was more than blessed to have my Precious (yes I had a pit bull named precious. Lol) in my life for 16 years. Sometimes I still can’t believe she’s no longer here. May you have even more years than I did to make beautiful memories!
The pitbull is the best dog. There is never a dull moment with one. My pitbull was the best friend you could ever want. He was in my life for over 15 years. I was so lucky to have him. I now have 2 rescues that are pit bull mixes. When I can give another one a good life I'll help another one.
Say that to the kids who got mauled by them for no reason ALL THE TIME. IT'S THE BREED, NOT THE OWNER. There is a reason so many places banned those dogs. Pitbull's account for 68% of fatal dog bites to humans and 80% of fatal bites to other pets despite making up only 6% of the U.S dog population. People report that a Pitbull has never been agressive until randomly, but the issue with pitbulls is that they never show clear signs of being agitated which is mistaken as non-agression. Also, they do catastrophic damage because they are bred to fight until they "neutralize" an opponent or they are "neutralized". They pretty much have no concept of self preservation. It's freaky and unnatural. Even wild animals won't endanger their own lives to attack (unless they are ill or protecting young). The only thing that could make a healthy dog do that is genetics.

Its sad they have to try to avoid saying the word pitbull to get them adopted out.

Best dogs ever! I’ve been around hundreds of different t types of dogs volunteering at animal shelters throughout my life, and the American Staffordshire Terrier is just an amazing breed. They are so naturally smart and they are so amazingly loyal, they love to see their owner happy and I love to see them happy. My 14 Y/O AmStaff passed away 8 months ago and I miss him so much, his name was Buddy and he put a smile on my face everyday and still does whenever I think about him. Awesome story here with your boy. I wish y’all a very long healthy happy future together.

I had a pit bull when I was young. He was the most gentle and intelligent dog I’ve ever had. If I cried, he would get tears in his eyes too. It was like he looked right into my soul. Absolutely incredible dogs ❤️❤️
These are " real " pitbulls, and they remind me of my last 2 dogs and the vast majority of the dogs I worked with at the shelter I volunteered at for 9 years. Twenty two of us adopted pitbulls from there and some adopted 2. Not sure about your experience with this breed but I m sorry. Please remember that in the early 1900's they were known as Nanny dogs, and during WWl they were the breed used for search and rescue( GSDs) were used for combat, not pits.
I rescued a blue nose pit from a back yard breeder when he was 14 months old.I've had him for 9 months now and he's getting better, but still very skittish and scared of his own shadow. The first 3 nights I had him I slept on an air mattress n my living room because I couldn't get him to go n my bedroom. He's come a long way and I luv him with all my heart. He's showing his lovable side more, and I just eat it up!!❤❤❤

@zammmerjammer Huskies are more prone to snapping and are proven to be able to cause far more damage than a pitbull can. They also have a strong percentage share in deaths of young children. Of course, this is the media's fault, because they make false info about animals that make a breed seem very safe and nice, only for it to get many many kids killed
The reason is because they have eyebrows and so us as humans can read their facial expression, it’s what made it more likely that we domesticated wolves because they can change their expression, they have done studies on it.

Perspective, perspective... A dog that's put in a box and "dumped" at a shelter, especially a no-kill shelter, is far more fortunate than most unwanted animals. You are very blessed to have him! He is beautiful! Hugs & kisses from me. I love pitties! I love most animals! Blessings to your family! ❤️

❤️ Pitties are absolutely given an unfair bad rap. Sure all dogs have natural behaviors, including aggression in them. However, almost all overly aggressive behavior was taught to them or allowed to develop unchecked. Pits are loyal, protective including of other dogs, and so loving. People are the problem not the breed.
Wonderful rescue story! And I love what mom said that Koby is always with us and if he can't go with us forget it. Yes he is a daddy's boy but that's very ok with mom.

I had never owned a Pittie until a year ago. I had wanted one, but adopting from a shelter, you never know what you're going to get. I finally gave in and adopted a rescue Pitt. He is the biggest baby on the planet. If I walk out to out out the garbage, when I come back in, one would think I'm gone for hours. He runs zoomies, jumps in my lap, and gives tons of kisses. He has become my best friend and we go everywhere together. In the beginning, I was so frustrated with him. His energy level was off the chain. Now he's older he's calming down a bit. The thing no one told me about is that Pitties will sit and just stare at you. At first, this creeped me out. Now I know it's just part of him. Now, the issue we are working on is that he plays really rough with other dogs. So, long story short. They are amazing, and I wish I had gotten one sooner.
We love our pit bull! She is the sweetest dog I've ever met and YES, we were not aware of the amount of cuddles they need. Bed hog, pillow hog and blanket hog! ❤
I hear ya! Our 1st 2 would pile up on my husband in the recliner from the foot rest to his armpit…he loved it! Would have been a great Lane commercial. We actually bought a king bed so we’d all have room to spread out…what were we thinking…Bobby had the right edge, the bulldogs had the middle, from his back as a pillow, across the entire bed to me on the left edge on the receiving end of all those power kicks from their dreams!!! At times I wondered if they were trying to kick me, literally, out of the bed! This began 40yrs ago & continues today. I should have bought stock in Lane & Serta.🐾🐾🐾🐾
My Am Staff (Pit bull) behaves just like yours….and she is so full of ENERGY ….SHE’S KEEPING ME ME SHAPE 👍😂😂😂 she loves to “root’” up all the blankets in bed as well and lays on them looking out the window so she can bark at any neighborhood dogs walking by. She loves our family but hates other dogs walking by 🫢 she stands up on me with those loving eyes telling me she needs a walk and she licks me all the time and and I have to beg her to stop. She is a ball of energy and love ❤️!

Pit bulls were considered one of the best family dogs up until about the 70’s when pit fighting blew up in popularity. The people in that “industry” damaged the reputation of this breed probably forever. Any dog can be taught to be aggressive and potentially dangerous if you enforce wreckless behavior in them.

Spot on! My pitbull / staffie cross is the same....like a child. Lovable, needy, human expression, especially in the eyes. Has to be with his humans 24/7. A real character! Thanks for sharing this 😊
We rescued a pittie baby that was abandoned at my wife’s salon seven months ago. She’s been an absolute blessing to our home, most living dog ever. Her favorite thing is going to the store and hugging/kissing new people. She doesn’t know a stranger, just friends she hasn’t met yet. When people judge her on her look it’s heartbreaking. Judging the breed based on media is crazy, they’re so loving. Look up nanny dogs.
My daughter passed away 5 yrs ago leaving me w/her two pits. Afterward I was given one from a cple who bred their 2, adopteed all the puppies out.. fortunately the breeder retirned after several months to check on the now 5 mo old puppies to find 1 whose new owner kept locked in a kennel 24/7. She brought her to me. EVERYONE loved that dog. Even people who swore that weren't dog people would say if you ever find ur self needing to rehome her I would love to hv her. She was s'thing else. Unfortunately at around 5 or 6 the vet found a tumor on her ♡. We bided our time for a bit bc surgery was too dangerous. We were told the tumor could rupture & she'd bleed out. We kept her safe & comfy until one day she let us know she was done. No energy, no eating. We made the choice to let her go peacefully and as painfree as possible. Ive since taken in another who was found in the forest. Vet estimates about 18 mo old. She is a riot. Some days she is the only reason I laugh. She's loving rambunctious and loyal. She too nibbles on blankets. I assume she was dumped soon after birth. Now thinks I'm her mom. I suppose I am. Fortunately live in an apt complex that allowed me to hv 3 but theyre so well behaved no one has ever said a word. They don't bark at people or their dogs kids pet them. They are awesome dogs. I hate the reputation that follows them. We have agressive small dogs in our complex. If they were larger they could def do damage. Meanwhile my 3 pits are little lovebugs who everyone loves. I feel extremely safe having them with me while I sleep. Everyone deserves a good loyal dog.

I took in a pit bull 10 years ago. I've had dogs all my life and all were wonderful, but that little gal was pure love. She crossed the bridge last July and took a huge part of my heart with her. I can't believe how much I loved her.
Thanks so much for doing this rescue....We've been volunteering at various cat/dog/farm shelters/sanctuaries for about 30yrs & remain appalled that it is still volunteers, rescue groups, foster parents & adoptees that continue to pick up what others have thrown away. There is something mentally unfit in people who think that any sentient creature can just be tossed away like so much garbage for someone else to clean up.
I wish I could give you 10 thumbs up! You are so right. It seems like the few are picking up the slack for the many irresponsible and abusive animal owners out there. Then there are the purebred snobs who will pay $4000 and fly halfway across the country to go and pick up From a breeder and would never dream of rescuing an animal from their local shelter. I'll never understand. But there are people who get pets to make themselves feel better as opposed to those of us who adopt animals to give them a great life, which improves our own lives, anyway!
@@lisabelle7553 it is that very fact that some people will pay large sums to get a pure bred or designer dog that encouraged the importation of 500 puppies from Ukraine to Canada 3 yrs ago of which 38 died on the flight. I'm 64 and have mostly lived with pit-mix dogs all my life. I now share my home with the cutest little red-nose pittie girl, a rescue, and she is absolutely the most affectionate dog I've ever had. She bonded hard with me from the start and every day she makes me a better person. She is dog-reactive and I've had training to help me work with her fears and protect her from other dogs. But she loves people, she learns new things super fast, she's super playful, and her welcome-home dance is amazing. I'm committed to her for keeps, and will defend her with my life if need be. Haters can hate. The feeling is mutual.
My husband and I were temporary guardians of pittie I named BJ while his real owner sorted her life out. It didn't take long for me to determine that the big grey goofball was totally deaf. He and I were cuddle buddies and I took my afternoon naps on the floor with him, usually using him for a pillow. Our bond grew strong as I patiently taught him hand signs for different things. He learned quickly and soon knew many different signs. My heart broke the day his "real mom" showed up to reclaim BJ. He did not want to leave me and was struggling to come to me as she shoved him into her car. I had to turn my back and go into the house so she could get him in the car. I still think of BJ and I look sometimes at his photo on my phone. He was one of a kind!

I rescued an orphaned pitbull/shepherd mix when she was days old. Had no idea of her breed until we did a DNA test. Surprise!😂 She's the most energetic dog I've ever had. And she grew up with a cat so she thinks she's one, too. She climbs everywhere: over gates, fences, couches. It's crazy. She's 5 months now & taking training classes for socialization (orphans often have trouble with that) and obedience. She's very affectionate. Hasn't been aggressive with people or other dogs. She's just afraid of them for now. They are dogs that take a lot of training, activity and patience. But I think she's going to be a great family dog once she matures and becomes more obedient. Right now, it's like having a small horse in the house.😂

My life will never be the same but he was the most loyal and loving dog he was a mamas boy all the way and I loved it. RIP Rocky and Cowboy We will see you again at the rainbow bridge.
Thank you for your tremendous compassion and sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry 😢😢. I know how that is. I lost my kitty Chibi after 17 years just a year ago.

I have a rescue pit and he is the most lovable thing I have ever met. I got him at about 6 months. He’s about 9 now and the sweetest and most affectionate animal I’ve ever met. I installed cameras in my house to protect him. He wouldn’t ever even defend himself. My things can be replaced but he could never be replaced.

@@maddogsenglishmen8020 Most of them are but sadly they label them as pit which makes it difficult to find people willing to adopt them.

You never owned a real pitbull. You couldn't handle one
@bethwasserman2882 you purchase a pitbull...you rescue a mutt mislabeled as a pitbull. Pitbulls have bloodlines and pedigree.

The sort of pitbull propaganda in this video GETS PEOPLE KILLED.
No such thing as a blue nose pitbull. That's An American bully term. Pitbulls pure bred don't produce blue coats

Thank you for rescuing this beautiful, gorgeous, amazing lovely, sweet, wonderful, cute, adorable dog!🥰🐕🥰
As a fellow dog lover, I agree that dogs emotions show on their faces.
The reason is because they have eyebrows and so us as humans can read their facial expression, it’s what made it more likely that we domesticated wolves because they can change their expression, they have done studies on it.
Especially when they have been naughty. The look of guilt is unmistakable.
The pitties emotions and facial expressions are the closest to human emotions of all dogs.. it's absolutely adorable.
Cats too. I think it's true for most species.

Perspective, perspective... A dog that's put in a box and "dumped" at a shelter, especially a no-kill shelter,
is far more fortunate than most unwanted animals. He or she is given a chance at a great life. That's something to be celebrated!

Thank you for giving this adorable boy a home of love, happiness, comfort, and security. ❤
We love our pit bull! She is the sweetest dog I've ever met and YES, we were not aware of the amount of cuddles they need. Bed hog, pillow hog and blanket hog! ❤
Total space invaders! I have 3! One of them laying on my feet right now because she's gotten too big to sit in the recliner with me! 😂😂

We lost two, and I have never cried so hard for a pet. They are like 5 yr old children. All 3 were rescues. They are like Angels in a dog suit!

*Mum’s horror as ‘good’ family pit bull mauls six-month-old baby girl to death*
*A HEARTBROKEN mum has spoken of the harrowing moment her six-month-old baby was mauled to death by the family dog.*
Little Kamiko Dao Tsuda-Saelee was playing in her walker at her family home in Las Vegas when the pitbull sunk its teeth into the tot.
Her mother, Layla Tsuda, left the pair alone while she briefly nipped to the toilet.
Moments later she returned to find the dog, named Mana, was savaging her baby girl.
Tsuda managed to stop the attack, but tragically the baby had already suffered major injuries, according to KTNV.
She was rushed to hospital with blunt force trauma to the head but could not be saved.
In a statement devastated Tsuda told KHON-TV: “I have no words to explain my pain.”
She said the family was blindsided by the attack as the pooch, who had been in the family for nine years, had never bitten anyone.
She described the Mana as a good family pet.

Well said! It is appalling in this country how poorly many animals are treated; thank you for your volunteer work.

*Mother tried to shield children killed in Memphis pit bull attack, family says*
Two children near Memphis, Tennessee, were killed after the family dog attacked them. The mother of those children is in the hospital, as she sustained injuries trying to protect her kids.
Family and friends say 30-year-old Kirstie Bennard fought to protect her children as two of the family’s pit bulls fatally attacked 5-month-old Hollace and 2-year-old Lillie last week.
NewsNation-affiliate WREG spoke to a neighbor who is still in shock over the incident.
“It nearly brought me to tears. It’s just heartbreaking. I can’t even wrap my head around it. My heart goes out to everybody involved,” the neighbor, who preferred to not be identified, said.
The family had owned the pets for more than eight years without incident.
Kirstie’s husband and father of the children, Colby, was not home at the time of the attack. According to his uncle, Jeff Gibson, the mother tried her best to shield her children while the attack lasted for about 10 minutes.
Gibson says she suffered bitemarks all over her body. He posted about the incident on Facebook.
“This attack lasted over 10 minutes, and she never gave up trying to save these babies,” Gibson said. “Now all of us family and friends have to rally around both of them and show them how much they are loved.”
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said both dogs have now been euthanized. Bennard is still healing from her injuries in a Memphis hospital. Her condition has been upgraded from critical to stable.

My besty’s pitty is extremely nosey as well! If they could talk they would tell everyone their family’s business!😂😂 He is a total sweetheart!❤️
Your dog looks exactly like mine. My Jellybean is the sweetest smartest dog . Glad you can experience the joy of having this type of dog in your family. I love the videos!
Belle histoire d’amour !!!
J’adore 🥰 🙏🏻
Many blessings to this lovely couple and on their pregnancy💗👬👶🏼. Heartwarming to see they adopted Koby and rescued Rocky and his sister 💗🐾💗🐈💗🐈
Yes, super cuddlers!!🙌👏
Aren’t they the best of the best!!😍💕❤️
You look super cuddly 😁
My husband and I were temporary guardians of pittie I named BJ while his real owner sorted her life out. It didn't take long for me to determine that the big grey goofball was totally deaf.
He and I were cuddle buddies and I took my afternoon naps on the floor with him, usually using him for a pillow. Our bond grew strong as I patiently taught him hand signs for different things. He learned quickly and soon knew many different signs.
My heart broke the day his "real mom" showed up to reclaim BJ. He
did not want to leave me and was struggling to come to me as she shoved him into her car. I had to turn my back and go into the house so she could get him in the car.
I still think of BJ and I look sometimes at his photo on my phone. He was one of a kind!
Thank you very much to the wonderful people who gave their love, care and home to this very sweet! GOD bless you!
I have been blessed for over 50 yrs to have Pitties, rescued, dumped off at my home, and never once did we have any issues . They were so gentle and loved to play with the lil dogs, chis, min pins, poms and would cuddle with them all of the time. When outside they like the Saints, Dobie and Rotty protected the lil ones from hawks, eagles. As for cuddling, best dang cuddlers.
My Molly is my last dog and she was rescued from a kill shelter. She is with me 24/7 and I say Thank GOD every day for my dogs and all of the animals of the land, air and seas.
To all who help, aide HIS animal friends THANK YOU and GOD BLESS>

@@tambrosia bless you.
My pittie loves snuggles, cuddles and belly rubs she's so sweet. A gentle giant creature
He's beautiful and very sweet. Thanks for adopting him. He looks very happy with you guys.
Two things. The first is yes! Pitbulls are the most cuddley, needy, sweet and happy dogs I've ever had. Their eyes say everything. The other thing is Long Island! I'm homegrown from Huntington long Island and forever my heart remains there.
We have a Staffordshire mix that showed up at our house. He is the most loving precious dog we have ever ver had.
He is loving, nurturing, I don’t have enough sweet words to express the love Bentley has brought to our house!
I love the way good humans and hound dogs make each other shine.
Wonderful story. Koby is quite the character and like all dogs and cats deserves a warm, loving home and that is exactly what you have given him. Good people love their pets.
You have such a beautiful family and a beautiful story of how you adopted your son! Congrats 🎉 on everything, God bless! The love shows through all y'all. ✌️🫶😊
Beautiful Family...
What an absolute beautiful baby! Love his ears! Thank you for adopting him into your home and loving him so much, there are beautiful dogs in the shelter is just waiting for a nice family like you❤
This couple is amazing. Kind, caring, and generous. May God bless you with a long, healthy life. Watched this video here in Kuwait.
Oh my goodness! Life is just better with our 4-legged friends. Love it. Bless. ❤
We have 2 Pittie sisters. They are the most awesome dogs. They love to be loved and love people. They are both 8 and our cat is 19 and they get along great. I hate what people have done to this breed because they are just sweet.❤
I've never met a pit bull that wasn't a lover. My son has only ever had pit bulls. He loves everyone even his grandma.
Me too! I love them and feel they get a bad rap. I blame most of the issues on bad owners

Only difference is Pitbulls are very strong so if you make them into an Ahole or don’t train/treat them right the outcome will be worse yes because they are REAL dogs - unlike your dumba$$ chihuahua or other dudes inbred lookin Husky
I rescued an orphaned pitbull/shepherd mix when she was days old. Had no idea of her breed until we did a DNA test. Surprise!😂
She's the most energetic dog I've ever had.
Gorgeous dog and so loved by his parents ❤️
Kobe is so cute and LUCKY to have a awesome family 😊❤
I had one of these pit bulls as a puppy after my husband passed. He was a pile of mush.. all he wanted was love. He was therapy for me at that time. He lived for 14 yrs. Miss you Rocky.
I'm so sorry for your loss dogs are such great therapy for us and pits are the best dogs I just lost my 14 year old pitbull in April. My life will never be the same but he was the most loyal and loving dog he was a mamas boy all the way and I loved it. RIP Rocky and Cowboy We will see you again at the rainbow bridge.
I lost my pit mix a year ago today. She was my other half. This video made me smile as I thought of her so much throughout it.
Love the breed. I'm on my second Pitbull rescue in the last 16 years and they are absolutely amazing dogs.
Beautiful. A true love story. All doggos should have such a loving family. Best to all of you.
