It was a undoubtedly a brave move to respray my SLS AMG Black Series, after all it's a highly limited edition collector's car, however there are plenty of reasons you might not have considered why this isn't going to harm the theoretical value of it. Plus, it's hugely appreciating in my love for the car!

Bvdschelde there will always have buyers for an specific selling car, no matter how it is or who it is. What we could be discussing is about the value in price. Probably, a buyer (collector) will always prefer buying an immaculate car, with all the original seals and etc. Then, yes, this is how a buyer will pay more for such a product. But, excluding that, there will always have buyers for a well maintained car. Also, per the words of Shmee, it is understandable that he must have paid a good amount of money for it but nothing compared to a collectors car unit! Which means, he paid less! He has saved money! So, it is not harming the sense of being or not a good move for him. And, last but not least, he will use the car! Collectors, in general, do not use them and, instead, leave them in a garage or a show stand for people to look at it, waiting for the value of that car raise up as time goes by. So, don’t worry. The value of such an incredible car will still be there for Shmee when we will be old enough to even keep on watching his videos. Cheerssss!

No. If he'd taken 2 mins to properly explain it in one of the earlier videos then you'd have a point - but he didn't If you live in the public eye and rely on that self same public to fund you (watching videos and buying merchandise etc) then you have to live with the fact that people will sometimes question your decisions. I’m very lucky to have a big car collector living local to me in Ireland who brings his cars to our local cars and coffee. IT DID. Salomondrin published it for a price much much lower than what the car was actually worth, mainly because he wanted to literally get rid of it due to his personal situation of his Senna burning down to the ground. He didnt care about losing money because (said it by himself) he ws scared of the car, he didnt want to see it. So then this followed, he published it for sale at a MUCH lower price, and the car sold instantly. This has nothing to do with Tims car, who not only doesnt care about the car losing value, but that he just said that his car is not wanted by car collectors

Being in lockdown went to your videos from 2012, you havent changed much. Even your videos are still similar which is great. Many youtubers has changed and made content of their channels change too not in good way. Thats real success while doing what you enjoy most!!!
I can’t believe people were giving you a hard time. You’re one of the few car collectors that actually share your collection with the public both online and real life. I’m very lucky to have a big car collector living local to me in Ireland who brings his cars to our local cars and coffee. Cars that have included Veyron, LaFerrari, 918, classic Ferrari’s such as 250swb. Buy what you want and do with it what you want. Best of luck in the coming months and onwards.

Salomondrin repainted his Carrera GT and it didn't hurt the value of it.
That was the best color on a carrera GT
He listed it 250k less than comps so I’d say it hurt the value
IT DID. Salomondrin published it for a price much much lower than what the car was actually worth, mainly because he wanted to literally get rid of it due to his personal situation of his Senna burning down to the ground. He didnt care about losing money because (said it by himself) he ws scared of the car, he didnt want to see it.
So then this followed, he published it for sale at a MUCH lower price, and the car sold instantly.
This has nothing to do with Tims car, who not only doesnt care about the car losing value, but that he just said that his car is not wanted by car collectors
Personally I don’t see why driving around alone or with someone you’re already with, as anything other than social distancing.
Quite simply the best, most informative car RUclipsr there is. And clearly a very nice guy. My favourite channel on RUclips.

Second, I’ve owned some really nice cars over the years and my philosophy is to enjoy your cars. That means painting them, driving them and doing whatever with them that makes you happy. And mystic blue is one of the most beautiful car colors out there.

I lived in Dublin when the Euro was at €1.40 to the £1 and I was getting paid from the UK in £'s, I made bank on the exchange rate! Imagine buying your car at that rate Shmee!

You can see in the shots from the paint shop that the engine is masked off. So no.

Without a bay spray its just a blow over...why buy such an expensive car and skimp on the paint, commenting as a sprayer myself
