Great content as always Mark!! I have been using it for two months now and love it. The tethering with presets has been a game changer with my clients. Keep up the great work.
I use Evoto. I very much like the payment model and how it's structured. AND I AM BLOWN AWAY at the sophistication of this retouching software. Time is money and this program saves me HUGE amounts of both. The tethering feature is INSANE - my subjects cannot believe they look so good; I simply tell them I use very expensive portrait studio lighting designed to hide flaws and emphasize their best features.
Photoshop is such a huge learning curve and I never became good at any of the skin tools. Frequency separation was a huge roadblock of me photographing people with imperfections on there skin. Glasses was another headache of mine. I just used Evoto and it is just the way Mark Wallace shows it in this video. AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Now it's time to purchase.
I feel so lucky to be able to do manual editing for hours in the past... those are the experiences not many new photographers will live! Not anymore 😉. Keep up the good work, sir. You're doing fantastic keeping up witth new technology 🙂👍
Excellent review Mark! I’ve seen a few other peoples reviews but not to the degree of detail that your review have. Many thanks for your review! Cheers! 🥂
Looks like I will spend more money on my photography addiction! Thanks for a great tutorial! I havent looked at photo stuff in a long time. I learned so much from you in the past and I must say this tool is amazing. As with anything, taste is a plus...we dont just want porcelain , plastic dolls....or do we?
We definitely don't want plasic dolls! I could make the same argument for most of the Vogue covers from the 1970s, etc. Take a look at that old stuff. We're just doing it faster now.
I just completed editing several images with Evoto and I love the software. I'm now going back in my files to enhance other images. How can I purchase more backgrounds? Mark, thanks for keeping it simple.
Evoto allows you to add your own backgrounds. You can take photos and use those, or you can buy stock photos/backgrounds. Adobe Stock has a ton of backgrounds to choose from. Or use Story Blocks, ShutterStock, iStock, etc. You can choose your favorite.
@@tmewborn1 You only pay 1 credit for each export. There's no cost to edit. And you can't export if you don't have a credit. There's no way to run up a huge bill without knowing it. The base price is 7 cents per credit.
Great video Mark! I have just started using Evoto and absolutely love the software! What is your work flow while using Evoto? Do you still use Photoshop/Lightroom? In the past I imported my images to lightroom (which would automatically convert my raws to DNG) and then organize/ edit in Lightroom. Then I would do the heavy editing in Photoshop. Now I am wondering if I can import DNG's into Evoto or if I need to change my workflow? Do you have any suggestions?
I still use LR for all my catalog work and most of my editing. You can export images from LR and import them into Evoto - then import those into LR for saving in your catalog. Evoto is working on full LR integration, hopefully that will happen in the next year. I'm don't have any idea of the timeline, I just know it's in the works.
Really incredible tools, at least from your demo! I went to their website immediately after watching your video and looked at their pricing. I don't like the idea of paying per per picture. Deal breaker!
@@nakleh I spent many thousands of dollars on photo equipment. Even if it cost .20c per photo that doesnt seem like a lot of expense...but I dont batch tons of photos and hope I never do. Photography is my art form...i resist factory work.
Very interesting. I just heard about Evoto yesterday. just removing the glare from spectacles is worth the money. I wish you had demoed some male images too. But I get the idea. Do the images remain in the software for a revision and download, or do you have to build up a library? Thank you.
Hi Mark. Thanks for the informative video. Could this software be used for other subjects like food or product photography, or is this purely for people? Thanks Eugene
Excellent Software, To me the bad thing is the pricing. I am not comfortable with this "Credit Pricing Thing" to me it leaves a lot of unknowns. For example how much would it cost me to do the enhancements you did in this video??? Your /video would be better for me if your started of with slider changes then worked up to creating Presets. Sure anything is easy to enhance if the preset has been made & saved. Those of us interedted in purchasing want information from basic tools, use there off then creating presets. The credit pricing at the present time is the thing that keeps me from biying this excellent software!! Thanks for you video.
Beautiful in-depth tutorial. Mark are you able to generously share your preset with me? Does Evoto allows for one to upload presets? I love what you have done.
Thank you for the video review. Does the Evoto watermark appear as you work on the photo? I hope not as it would be rather distracting. Thank you in advance for your reply.
It does appear while working, it’s to prevent people from taking screenshots instead of exporting. It’s not something I like, hopefully they will change the pricing and the watermark.
Hi Mark Admire all your videos that I’ve seen, whether your channel or Adorama. 👍🏻 When I do portrait work I have been using Anthropics Technology, Portrait Pro Studio, and I’ve gotten quite used to the product and processes even after all the updates/upgrades. The question: Do you think this Evoto product will take anything away from portrait photographers? I know photoshop has AI as does Lightroom, and I think even Portrait Pro has some AI technology, but this Evoto seems next level. Maybe it’s just me, though. I don’t know. Do we really need AI to do almost everything for us? Not looking to start an argument or anything with anyone, just your honest opinion. Cheers Mark
People also need to remember that they could use this software and apply it as a new layer in Photoshop, then mask out certain parts they feel are too much.. it doesn't have to be all or nothing
You can also mask out parts right in Evoto - most of the adjustments have a mask that you can edit - just look for the pencil icon next to the adjustment. Click it and you'll open a mask.
Thank you for this great video! Do you consider this software as a Capture One replacement? If you already have LightRoom, Photoshop, and Capture One, can you import the images you took using those applications? Thanks in advance!
I'd use it as a supplement to Capture One or LR. You can move images between capture one/LR/and evoto with no problem. You can edit the raw file in Evoto and then export it as a TIFF or PNG file to be used/edited in LR or Capture One. Or you can export images from other software and import to Evoto. Just use standard file formats and you'll be good to go.
@@MarkWallaceVideos Thank you! Can you apply a watermark/copyright mark and apply the typical copyright and metadata on your images using Evoto? Thanks again!

There is a double chin and neck wrinkle adjustment in Evoto. You can download Evoto for free and try it out yourself. Use this link and get 30 free exports as well www.evoto.ai/s/MarkWallace30
At this point there is no automatic LR/Evoto integration. I have suggested it to the developers and hopefully it's on their roadmap. You'd have to manually export/import from LR to Evoto and back. But, I wouldn't be surprised if that integration happens soon.
