Congratulations to the winners for both fly rods and and beast flies so far. I would have loved to have won either rod or the flies since I am moving to Ohio near multiple musky lakes. Oh well I can get the Payload blank for $287 and put the proper sink line worthy guides on it. Give me more experience building rods and tying flies. 😎🎣
I definitely get way more out of the reviews than the standard oh this is a nice rod and you should buy it type reviews. I appreciate you diving deep on these as you do with your tying videos there Gunnar.

Thanks again for doing the reviews. I wonder if you have thought about trying an 8 or 9 weight full-line (not shooting head) on the 11 weight rod to see how the rod casts when underlined significantly. There might be some fishing situations in which one would bring one rod and reel with several spools using very different lines. The Boundary Waters comes to mind.
