finally someone who is really chill in linux community, thank you for making content, the quality for such a small channel is insane.
Thank you, that's super nice of you to say.
Totally agree, I hope he keeps making these
Please keep making more videos! They are amazing!
Thank you for explaining calmly and detailed. I'm really glad that I found your channel. Please make more vids
Thank you! Will do!
I must join the others and say that your ability to explain is outstanding! Please do add more content .. especially on scripting. Thanks man
Thank you, I will!
Really really loved these explanation videos, and hope you feel the drive to make some more again some day :D
That's the plan!
So calm and well explained :D v. nice!
Thank you! 😃
This was a great video, thank you! I only have one question if you don't mind. Why are you hard-killing those xwinwrap processes? I mean, the normal SIGTERM signal should work fine and would give the xwinwrap process a chance to do any cleanup work it might need to do, thus exiting gracefully. It won't even get a chance to do that with a SIGKILL signal.
To the best of my knowledge, SIGKILL should be used only with stubborn processes and not as a default.
Yea, you're probably right, SIGTERM is probably more appropriate. In this particular case I don't think it matters because xwinwrap doesnt need to do any cleanup but you're still right.
Damn, this was so chill. Love it
You should make a website
you da best, and I am so happy to be here watching your channel grow. Happy to be a sub 1000 subscriber
how about a tutorial on how to setup linux with same setup u have used? its amazing
Not much to it really. Just an animated background and a nice color scheme on the terminal
Thanks for this great video! I managed to get a video playing on LXDE (Raspbian) but all of the desktop and taskbar icons disappeared. Hopefully I can figure out a fix for that.
Great video & explanation. Thanks
Make more videos man. I loved how you explain things. Well done!
brilliant, thx very much
Hmmm I'm running wayland on sway (i3 compatible wm using wayland instead of X) and I'm wondering if there is any way of doing this natively in wayland... Anyone whom has any ideas please let me know!
There's no way I know of to do it in Wayland but I don't really understand wayland as much as X11.
how to run the scrip?
Is there a way to get xwinwrap working on macOS?
No, macos doesn't use xorg for it's windowing so xwinwrap wouldn't work. I'm sure there are other solutions for macos though.
Subscribed, pls keep making videos.
Is there a way to use "reactive wallpapers" on Linux? I know we can use "live wallpapers" which is not the same thing.
I'm referring to wallpapers that react to your mouse cursor.
In theory this is totally possible. Wallpapers in linux are just windows that are parented to the root.
I'm not aware of any specific implementations of that idea though.
@@FunctionalIndustries There is an application on Windows called Lively Wallpaper and another called Wallpaper Engine that can do this. Androids wallpapers already do this as well.
Go baby go
I would rip my eyes out if i had to watch the glitch on that bonfire every time the loop restarts
There's no glitch. It just where I've edited the video in places.
Also I can add a comment for a YT algo. And also vid is soooo good...
well done
distro?
Arch, but distro doesn't matter too much. You can do this kind of thing on any distro.
ah okay also are you using an arch linux based distro?
if yes then could you give the name
@@zero-bp6wm I use just Arch Linux. The main one.
aight thanks for the info
I come from Reddit, good stuff
my fellow Vimmers, we have got a serious offender here.
This man right from time 11:40 is using arrow keys in insert mode with relative numbers present.
this boy can only be redeemed, if he disables his arrow keys and h,j,k,l too for next 6 months straight. 😂
You got me.
