You talked about reigning in the chaos in your last video. I don’t think I commented on some recent video of yours where you described keeping multiple journals going on at once. That blew my mind- how does that make you not just fall apart in a heap of anxiety? Haha. I inadvertently found myself doing that over the last month and I’m low key having a month long panic attack. Just does not compute. I am so flippin ridiculous……real magnolias are one of the best smells in the universe btw.
Haha, your new leather journals must have been too tempting. I started several journals because every time I bought a new one I couldn’t wait to finish the existing ones first because the new ones beckoned and I give in to temptation. I have them in several places like on bookshelves or by my bedside or in various bags and suitcases and every time I use a different bag or go on a trip or shuffle through a bookshelf, I encounter the different journals and just start using them. It makes for a great read as I can shift through different periods of my life in each journal and see the difference in subject matter and penmanship. Due to keyboard typing so frequently, my handwriting is now pure chicken scratch and practically illegible! But I persevere because I like it. I use multicolor pen inks too so it’s looks rainbow like when I flip through entries. But I might start incorporating printed pictures from my photo library by pasting them to the journal papers in addition to writing so it will be extra fun to read afterwards. I remembered that you said you were experimenting with Haikou in your journals and having fun either way them as well. I don’t feel any anxiety over the journals from like writer’s block or anything because their soul purpose is for me to dump my emotional burden and to make plans or capture my trips or interesting events or experiences, so they are purely for my own entertainment and enjoyment. I let my friend read some entries and she was firstly appalled by the handwriting but after an initial struggle she started laughing and making comments and even critiques. Haha, I also keep and two electronic journals, one word file and one perfume journal on google drive so I can access it anywhere. With my herky jerky writing style it’s much more comprehensible if I write electronically as I often go backwards to insert additional information so my journals are so messy and a bit out of sync. They used to make us do outlines for writing but I was bad at that too. Either way it’s a fun exercise which should be even more fun either way added photos, I might even resort to stickers if some are appropriate or just cute. Hope your journaling is equally fun and rewarding.
