You sure are a pro. This is a great video but I think I’ll have to take my highlander 2005 to my mechanic. I don’t have any special tools and I am certainly not a car mechanic. I have subscribed to your channel. I plan on keeping my Highlander for another 10 years.
Good stuff! Thank you! Few questions...1) what initially causes the window to slide off/on the bottom rail(what you fixed years ago)? I ask that because it hasn’t moved since your fix. 2) how do I know if my motor or regulator is the issue(they are two different things correct)?
I guess the window slides off just from time its a common defect in the highlander Glad it worked for you (: same i havent had to correct anything! Regulator is that arm mechanism and the motor you can hear if its responsive or not when you switch the windows up or down
@@KerKoy oh gotcha yea, if you can hear the motor and your window still dont do anything then you may have the same issue Or the window may even be sliding down on its own i remember i had that issue (held it on with tape lol)
@@iits_OG I bought my 04 Highlander with both back windows "chocked" with pieces of wood, so that the windows doesn't drop. At least that's what the seller said. He wasn't exactly sure what the issue was. I haven't touched nor removed those wooden wedges yet.
The motor still works on our window, but the window keeps falling off the track. Or the track is coming off the arm. Do you know what to do for this. We with a lot of work got it back on, but every time we put it up and down, it came back off. Not seeing why this is happening.
Ebay, heres a link for the “passenger” side rear www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Window-Motor-Front-Passenger-Right-RH-for-Toyota-Highlander-Rav4-Scion-xA-/131213268494?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
I'm so baffled because my window will work SOMTIMES... and if at first it fails to roll up then if you wait for a few minutes it starts working again but only for a couple more inches then it stalls out again...
I have this same problem. It's like grandma going up the stairs, she needs to take breaks but she gets there eventually. So I don't think it's off track, I think it's power or motor related (I really don't know.)
Thank you! The video helps me to understand more about regulator and the motor. Very helpful!!
can I recommend next time you do this job, maybe wrap some tape around the window to the door to prevent it from fallin everytime. great job btw👍👍👍👍
original motor sounds much more comfortable than the new one you used to replace it :)

@@iits_OG I haven't tried it yet(will be popping off the door cards soon to check). I meant YOURS hasn't moved since YOU
fixed it. Thanks

Oh then yea it will most likely be that issue just remember to take your time! Don’t rush and good luck 👍🏼
If your window kinda sinks down, does that mean it’s off the track or something needs to be replaced?
Yes its a clear symptom we had to hold our window with tape atbone point before my fix lol

ruclips.net/video/xhH413MhxuU/видео.html go to 6:36 on that video, you gotta slide the arm a bit back to position
@@iits_OG Thank you!
Sounds quick
I have a question I replaced my driver's side rear regulator but the arm that puts the window up and down is slipping out of the track what can I do
You gotta litterally slide that arm onto the arm, i have a video on that

Where did you get your replacement parts?

@@iits_OG Thank you! I actually just saw it before you replied. I appreciate the detailed tutorial, thank you for helping us all out!
