Agreed. I have such wonderful memories of this, not just because it was my childhood, but my aunt was terminally ill around that time, and she would watch the VHS tape over and over again in her final days. It made her so happy. Bittersweet but more sweet than bitter.

I’m trying so hard not to cry on this bus ride home but this is everything to me 🥺 I was obsessed with this movie as a child too. You and Whitney were like superheroes to me because finally I saw people who looked like me depicted as beautiful. I was constantly tweeting for it to arrive on Disney+ and now that it has, I’m just so happy! Todrick is an incredible human being and I just feel so blessed to have such an amazing collab as this! 💜

Facts or definitely facts?...Brandy was the first #BlackDisneyPrincess and the diversity of the Cinderella cast funny enough in this day and age seems impossible plus Whitney Houston being casted as Fairy Godmother was absolutely perfect. Can only imagine the type of bond they had beyond music.
She aged sooooooo gracefully and is just stunning, like I’m about to cry because this specific Cinderella movie made Brandy as Cinderella a living legend that will never die. I just need the fairy godmother Whitney. Imagine their matured voices, like let me just.... and Whoopy as the freaking QUEEN!

The version of Cinderella you featured in is still to this day my favorite version. I always felt a connection to it, even though I was a mixed Mexican/white girl, it made me feel like anything was possible. That my childhood best friend (who was black) could be a princess and that I could see someone so different from me and still resonate with them. This movie meant so much to me as a little girl and I know it absolutely meant everything to little girls that DID look like your Cinderella. I’m so grateful that I learned the beauty of loving everyone, regardless of the color of their skin from this film (among others) and that you get to revisit it today. This is a chapter of nostalgia I DIDNT know I needed.
I know todrick really made her feel like a princess and I love it.
And to know there are people in this world whose parents have failed them miserably by not showing them this version. Yes, I know, IMPOSSIBLE!

No, I'm not crying, you're crying and think it's me! This was amazing and proves that being a wonderful and humbling person will pay off and is rewarding to you for a lifetime. Brandy is so elegant and poise and just seems to value gratitude no matter how much attention she receives she stays leveled. I can't get enough of seeing this because her smile/glow has always been contagious to me.
