I’m 77 years old and live in Chicago. Your New York vlog was so enjoyable to me because it brought back my many trips over the years to NYC with sweet friends!
Hi Grace I grew up in NY but I haven't been there since '94. I live in FL now. I loved the NYC vlogs so much. Seeing old familiar places through fresh eyes was really nice although I found at times I was literally yelling at the screen "Grace please turn around" or Grace turn left at the next corner" so You would experience some of my favorites. Bravo! Well done girl. Looking forward to your next adventure. XOXO
I honestly never gave a new york trip a thought, but after seeing your vlogs and seeing how much of a good time you had, I would love to go one day especially during the holiday season :)
Grace try a Silk Pillow or buy a Silk Bonnet. I can't wait for the upcoming Christmacy vlogs and I hope there'll be a Christmas food shop as well.🥰 Merry Christmas Booth Family🕊☃️🎁❄🎄🦌🧣
When my hair was that long, I would pull it up to the top of my head and let it lie loose. I'm a flip-flopper, and pulling my hair up to the top keeps it from tangling.
We've actually purchased duffle bags to hold "extras." We usually put dirty laundry in the new duffle and carefully pack new treasures amongst clothing in the main bag. We have quite a collection of duffles from around the world ... LOL
The next time you’re in NY be sure to make it up to Zabar’s Grocery store on the upper west side (80th and Broadway). There’s a great scene in You’ve Got Mail that takes place in Zabar’s and it’s a wonderful market I’m sure you’ll love!
I went for a meal in the red coloured restaurant underneath the Friends building (Little Owl) for my 30th in 2016. Loved it. Had to go. Also had to book a long time in advance. Living my NYC dreams through you today watching this x
As a fellow hot water drinker, I'm no stranger to the "do you want to add lemon?" "do you mean tea?" questions here in Southern US 😅 Looks like you had a lovely time in NYC!
New York wait staff don't have time to second-guess someone ordering a hot water. I've ordered hot water in a variety of restaurants of a range of cuisines in the South and was never given a weird look, but the water sometimes came with a lemon wedge I did not request.
Thought on hot water in America: I know someone personally, who brings their own tea bags to restaurants… I image it’s more common than just my friend, especially in more heath conscious cities like NYC.
I worked at a cafe in Boston for a bit and it was pretty common for people to ask for hot water. Sometimes they explained why and sometimes not. If they did explain, it was because they brought their own tea or something.
Bill’s in Baker Street and Soho have the best pancakes ive ever eaten in my liiiiiiiife!! They have ones with bacon too, which I heard are their best seller!
Not sure I'm saying this right Grace. But on youtube there is an add for Italian Chocolate Bear? In London? It looks like an extreme chocololate cafe which sounds a little up your alley and most certainly up mine. Im in NZ so too far to go, but maybe one of your vlogs?
As someone who worked as a barista in Canada for bout a year and a half, the hot water request is less questioned because I find a lot of houseless people get them for various reasons. Not American but it’s probably similar there!
A lot of cultures drink plain hot water. Also, a lot of tea drinkers I know will have their own tea bags with them if it's a specialty tea. I assume that's why nobody is bothered by your how water request. My grandma (she was Irish) drank hot water, and we're in America.
The whole "hot water" thing ... I think Americans are, in general, more unflappable about things like that. I mean, after a few "When Harry Met Sally" Sally orders, wait staff become accustomed to all SORTS of weird requests. Hot water is a very tame one! LOL
If you got a precise layered haircut, not a shag but not as long layers like you have, your hair would be more manageable. Think soft feathered layers that flow backwards away from your face 💙🙏🏻💙
Don't worry they look at you funny in America too when you order hot water. I drink hot water every day and when I go out and ask for hot water I get the looks. 😂🤦
If I were a server in the US and someone asked for a hot water, I'd assume they brought their own teabag or bouillon or whatever. Or I'd have thought, "well, she's foreign, they do strange things over there." 😉☺
For the hot water query haha, it is definitely not more normal to get a hot water in America BUT American restaurants in big cities are generally a lot more accommodating for “unusual” requests. Someone asking for a hot water is probably the least weird thing they’ve been asked to do haha.
Fun fact: the cast of friends used to literally chant ‘hail satan’ in between takes while filming. And no, it wasn’t a joke. Jeremiah 8:17 “Watch out!" the Lord says, "I am sending snakes among you, poisonous snakes that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you."

I'm 34 from Las Vegas and her vlogs bring me so much joy because she's so wholesome and sweet
Honor has true NY vibes in her heart, Iced Coffee All Year Round for us in the North East!

Loved the NYC vlogs, Grack ☺️

Your sign-offs are always so sweet and make me feel special. Thank you, Grace! 😊
I honestly never gave a new york trip a thought, but after seeing your vlogs and seeing how much of a good time you had, I would love to go one day especially during the holiday season :)

Love it! Your excitement is definitely infectious

‘The Plaza, in June’ Bride Wars! Legendary.
Wow Grace the food looks so amazing! I wish you could stay in NYC forever!! I've loved these vlogs so much! Sending love from LA! 🤗🥰❤💕💕💕💕
Love, love, love your vlogmas so much 🎄💖
I've had the suitcase problem too. I've posted a shoebox parcel of stuff back to myself before. :)
We've actually purchased duffle bags to hold "extras." We usually put dirty laundry in the new duffle and carefully pack new treasures amongst clothing in the main bag. We have quite a collection of duffles from around the world ... LOL
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the actual sirens and gunshots in the background at 2:09? Quintessentially American.
try a silk bonnet for sleeping, reduces frizz and knots! a silk pillowcase might work the same too but i just use a bonnet!
Loved the NY vlogs but i'm so excited for the homey christmas vlogs. Also Grace i need to know if your suitcase was okay 🤣
Silk pillow cases or a silk bonnet will help your hair stay knot-free at night. It's also good for your skin 💅
The next time you’re in NY be sure to make it up to Zabar’s Grocery store on the upper west side (80th and Broadway). There’s a great scene in You’ve Got Mail that takes place in Zabar’s and it’s a wonderful market I’m sure you’ll love!
I feel like we need a "Ohmygod, look at that...!!!" compilation to enjoy the whole graceness of Grace here. Yes, yes indeed.
Loved the NY vlogs so much! I live in NJ and will be checking out some of the places you went to, especially Ivan Ramen 😍
I went for a meal in the red coloured restaurant underneath the Friends building (Little Owl) for my 30th in 2016. Loved it. Had to go. Also had to book a long time in advance. Living my NYC dreams through you today watching this x
I just love watching u!!! I enjoyed your NYC vlog w/ Honor. So much fun and laughter 🥰🥰🥰
Loved the vlogs.I miss NY. Lived there for 20 + years but life took me elsewhere.
Thank you for all the amazing NYC vlogs ❤🎉
I live near NYC so I WILL be taking a trip into the city to visit that cookbook shop!
As a fellow hot water drinker, I'm no stranger to the "do you want to add lemon?" "do you mean tea?" questions here in Southern US 😅 Looks like you had a lovely time in NYC!
Gorgeous, brings back lovely warm feelings from when we visited 😍. X
The birds are so confused… first you’re singing for them and then shooing them away 😂
I’ve seen the Friends apartment too! Then by accident we found the Seinfeld cafe! New York is one of my fav places. I’ve on,y been at Easter.
So sad the NYork vlogs are over. Wow, you girls had so much FUN!!! Totally jealous and planning my own trip as we speak... in my mind anyways!
Absolutely love hot water and everything thinks I’m crazy! I take my bottle everywhere with me, even in summer it’s gotta be hot
It's all I drink...no idea why people think it's weird.
New York wait staff don't have time to second-guess someone ordering a hot water. I've ordered hot water in a variety of restaurants of a range of cuisines in the South and was never given a weird look, but the water sometimes came with a lemon wedge I did not request.

LOVED the New York vlogs
Silk pillow case. I had to get one for my daughter.
Coconut oil helps with the matting. Put it in before you shower and let it sit for a bit. I always shower in the morning and that helps too.
They have ones with bacon too, which I heard are their best seller!
i have put off my assignment all week and now have like a few hours to complete and submit it but still am watching this video before i begin
Silk pillow cases will stop your hair getting tangled when you sleep!
Thank you much love xx
Not sure I'm saying this right Grace. But on youtube there is an add for Italian Chocolate Bear? In London? It looks like an extreme chocololate cafe which sounds a little up your alley and most certainly up mine. Im in NZ so too far to go, but maybe one of your vlogs?
You could try a silk/satin pillowcase for your hair :)
Sleep with a silk pillowcase on your pillow and it keeps your hair from getting all tangled.
FYI, around the corner from The Plaza Hotel is The Plaza Food Hall. Open to the public with lovely bathrooms and an Eloise Experience.
SILK PILLOWCASE: for the knots in the back of the hair, changes the gameeeee 🔥
As someone who worked as a barista in Canada for bout a year and a half, the hot water request is less questioned because I find a lot of houseless people get them for various reasons. Not American but it’s probably similar there!
I feel like if she was Asian, noone would bat an eye. Older Chinese act like cold drinks will strike you down dead right there 😂
Try a silk pillow case to stop your hair getting matted 🥰🥰🥰
I LOVE Honor sooo much ❤ (not sure that’s how she spells her name!)
My Aunt, who is a nurse, always drinks warm and hot water. She says it is better for your body than cold water.
I think we like hot water in North East :) it's soothing.
Silk pillowcase, silk bonnet (for the tangle issue)
Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Ava Jules and Hannah Maute just had a photo shoot in that booth a couple weeks ago too 😁♥️
A lot of cultures drink plain hot water. Also, a lot of tea drinkers I know will have their own tea bags with them if it's a specialty tea. I assume that's why nobody is bothered by your how water request. My grandma (she was Irish) drank hot water, and we're in America.
The longer you’ve been in America the more American you’re sounding! My husband said he thought you were American 😂
The whole "hot water" thing ... I think Americans are, in general, more unflappable about things like that. I mean, after a few "When Harry Met Sally" Sally orders, wait staff become accustomed to all SORTS of weird requests. Hot water is a very tame one! LOL
Lol Gunshots at 2:09. Welcome to America
I was waiting for her to say something about it. Thankfully that isn't common in most parts of America. Very rare actually outside of the major cities
If you got a precise layered haircut, not a shag but not as long layers like you have, your hair would be more manageable. Think soft feathered layers that flow backwards away from your face 💙🙏🏻💙
You should take a cruise one year from London to New York!
Well, since I started shaving my head my hair doesn't get knotted, but that my be a bit extreme for you.
I always get the matts in my hair in the same place too and I don’t know why:(
Don't worry they look at you funny in America too when you order hot water.
I drink hot water every day and when I go out and ask for hot water I get the looks. 😂🤦
Come to Chicago, Grace! ☺️
grace is it right that you haven't posted any videos on extra grack since this one??😢😢😢
Love from nepal 🙏✌️
Do you have to pay for the hot water?
Silk pillow case real silk though 😎
Ahh I went to take photos outside the friends apartment & ugly naked guy’s apartment in 2012. 😊
If I were a server in the US and someone asked for a hot water, I'd assume they brought their own teabag or bouillon or whatever. Or I'd have thought, "well, she's foreign, they do strange things over there." 😉☺
i don’t think a lot of people drink hot water here, but the workers are more just like, yeah whatever you want who cares hahaha
For the hot water query haha, it is definitely not more normal to get a hot water in America BUT American restaurants in big cities are generally a lot more accommodating for “unusual” requests. Someone asking for a hot water is probably the least weird thing they’ve been asked to do haha.
There's one thing we are all eager to know Grace...was your bag overweight!?
It’s not actually the friends apartment grace.. it’s only the exterior shot that was used. Monica’s flat doesn’t actually exist 😢
thanks for taking us to NYE with u!!
love ur channel, wish we could be friends
Gun shots while sirens where going?
:)
if your hair gets matted like that you might not be rinsing out shampoo sufficiently.
Fun fact: the cast of friends used to literally chant ‘hail satan’ in between takes while filming. And no, it wasn’t a joke.
Jeremiah 8:17
“Watch out!" the Lord says, "I am sending snakes among you, poisonous snakes that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you."
horse carriages are actually not fun...
Try using a silk cap to sleep. For the knots.
:)
