Great work, and very well explained :)
I'm planning recording an album using it sampling external instruments into it and also editing, sequencing and processing within it.
I'm also planning working on a full live with it, what do you think?
    Big thanks for sharing!
I reckon the polyend tracker is a future classic.

Flexible automation is the most needed feature in Polyend Tracker that still missing 😢

So in song mode you can add additional variation to a pattern that is different from the base pattern you originally started with?

      @IhorMedia  2 года назад +2

I created 12 patterns and than made each of them different a little bit. In song mode it is easy to copy and paste one track from one pattern into another pattern. Also it is quite easy to delete tracks in song mode, rather than on the grid.
To answer your question it is not really making variations of the pattern in the song mode. Rather it is high level view on all your patterns spread in time. Pattern variations remain in different patterns.

Hello from Odesa, and thank you for your work.
Since you're into Digitakt and Polyend Tracker, what are the main differences in workflow, and what features do you like In each product?

Hello Denys! I love Odesa! I've been there multiple times and hope to visit again! Stay safe there, guys!
I like both of the machines and they indeed have quite a lot of similarities. I'd say that Tracker's Song Mode makes a huge difference, but it's been just introduced in the DT. So, not a point anymore.
Overall for me the DT appears to be deeper when it comes to sample manipulation and sequencing. For example you can "lock" much more than 2 params per step, or have different clock division and step number pr track. Also DT is much more immediate. Big trigger buttons. Knobs! Great design and heavy duty finish.
Tracker on the other hand is very flexible and very visual, which is a huge plus. Big colourful screen. Everything is super obvious. Take that song mode for example on the thumbnail picture for this video. Or a mixer page with levels and everything. Also Tracker is much more advanced and flexible when it comes to performance. There is an entire module dedicated to it! It can also do some crazy stuff like playing a particular track from another pattern. Great design and nice finish. In hands feels like a computer keyboard.
Take into account that I spent way much more time with the DT, rather than with the Tracker.

@@IhorMedia Don't forget it's also much easier to chop samples on the Tracker. On DT you need to remember where your slices start (numerical value) and you then parameter lock each step. No way to free play around with these "slices" either.

Slicing and playing slices on the tracker is monumentally better for sure

Is this sourcing audio from a DAW/computer base setup? Or are you loading samples directly while using a computer?

    • @IhorMedia

No DAW as such. Tracker itself is kinda DAW. Samples from an SD card. Simple.

Great stuff - Ever played around with the NerdSeq for tracker-style sequencing of Modular? Super impressive module.

Thanks Emil! No, I haven't played around the NerdSeq... yet! I think I need to try it out!
