    The picture of the menu behind the clerk then pointing at what you want really helps cut down on confusion. HSK 1&2 books also only contain around 350 words combined, but really help with basic communication. Those two books can reliably be learned in less than two months. That could be a new video in itself...learning basic Chinese in 60 days.

    These are definitely some useful tips for someone new to China with little to no Chinese language ability! Having a mobile phone is literally a lifesaver, and Wechat is the most important app for sure. Great video!
