University Jazz Ensemble, Washington & Lee U. - Better Times Will Come (Janis Ian)

My friend Terry Vosbein had already done a version of “Better Times Will Come” with his Vosbein Magee Big Band when the University Jazz Ensemble he’d founded in 1996 asked if they could do their own version. Ranging in age from late teens to early 20’s, they faced the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 head-on. They masked up, socially distanced, and went for it!! Special thanks to everyone in the ensemble for their willingness to play and record this despite the difficulty.
