Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai are two Indian serials that I really loved. Sonakashi The main heroine in Kuch rang pyar ke aise bhi is potrayed so well and an example of how female lead should actually be written. She is shown to be successful and independent woman rather than other female leads that are generally shown as damsel in distress.
Yaa it's true and it's not like typical ekta kapoor serial . We can relate to it

There is one serial Called yeh un dino ki baat hai!
It was telecasted on Sony tv the serial was revolving around the 90s scenario how people live how teen girl face problems and it's nostalgic too I am not from 90s but when I was watching with my mom she told me that it's really really nostalgic for her , no bullshit drama,no sas bahu thing nothing.
The story is fab, the actors are superb and even it's title song is also inspired form 90s and today's music it's really good fusion.
I would recommend this to you for watching if you belong to 90s than you will definitely find nostalgic ❤️

@@suhani2574 I didn't say anything about Yeh un dino ki bat hain. I also know this was a nice serial. But yeah Barrister Babu in my opinion very disappointing because everything there wasn't like reality. Very much dramatic.And same sas bahu drama type. Home conspiracy. I expected this serial to be inspiring. But for me it is not close to my expectation just like other serials.

My grandma and my mom who were crazy in love with Indian serials are no more interested in serials . When I asked them why are they not watching it anymore they said "they are no more interesting , it's always same and boring " . Now , they have shifted to other dramas . My mom yesterday finished an entire Turkish drama " Pyaar Lafzon Mein Kahaan " containing 110 episodes .
Oo same i watched that Turkish drama and showed it to my mom. She has been hooked to it. And i also shown her some dubbed kdramas, she liked them too. Only thing which runs on our tv is either "TMKOC" or "Bhabhi ji ghar par hai".
My God my mom shifted to Netflix and now she is always on phone and addicted to Korean Drama! Mom studies and explains whatever new she learns! I'm happy for her. Now when Nani watches toxic serials she gets frustrated and says thank god i stopped this madness

Only one Indian serial I liked the most was Beyaadh. What a serial totally different level. BGM, dialogue delivery n acting. The role Maya played by Jennifer Winget was legendary character wch had a great impact on d audiance.It was a benchmark performance by her. This kind of serial n genre first time on Indian television surprised me alot. First time the audiance n viewers loved a negative role.Choosing a negative n playing negative role shows versatility of female.
She's a phenomenal actress. Too bad its second season got off in the middle.

Our India tv show are normally consumed by housewife who are generally not so educated so it's easy for them to consume the content. Had it been something like sharlock or dark it would definitely bored them. I am being judgemental here but it is what it is.
Now I hardly seem any young generation indulging in ekta kapoor serials.
So if they are not educated will you give this garbage content to them.

Kash television serial's bhi drama wagara ki tarah end hojate jabtak wo sahi the Indian television serials ki yeh bhi problem hai ki unhai bohot stretch kardiya jata hai jis wajah se serial he main plot se hat jata hai jaise "yrkkh" aur "tmokc" ko dekhte dekhte to mai badi hi ho gayi par wo serial's ab tak chal rahe hai.

Tmkoc isn't a sas bahu drama vala serial.. It's a comedy show, just like kapil sharma show, comedy nights, wagle ki duniya
Tmkoc was on the 1st no. in trp chart during lockdown, means that people like watching tmkoc and other shows like it...I know their new episodes aren't funny, because now they have very less content.. But their old episodes were actually very good.. Though these saas bahu drama serials have no logic Lol.. They just show a toxic love story of a guy and a girl..
@@themodernart3774 I agree with your points but I was talking about all the television shows in general, my statement was not particularly for the saas bahu serial's as the Indian show's which becomes popular are unnecessaryily strecthed because of that many times the main plot of the serial's get lost and the show maker's present repetative content in front of us which later becomes boring, because of this reason I gave the example of tmokc and of course it's just my opinion people can watch whatever they want to watch if they find it enjoyable but my only thought was if the writers only gave it a good ending instead of unnecessaryily stretching but if it's still popular then yes the show maker's can make the episodes with whatever plot series they want. :)
A few serials in the recent times that i actually found to be worth watching were "POV- Bande yudh ke" , "Dil sambhal ja zara" ,"Dehleez" and "Dhara". These shows had such fresh concepts and good story line with amazing acting which is quite rare in the current television industry.
Dehleez was epic one also I love krpkab 🙂

My mom used to watch a serial called kaatelal and sons.. It represented womrn power.. I really liked it but unfortunately it ended.. I mean there are some great great serials.. So i think we need to talk and appreciate bout the good serials too! (Not trying to spread hatred)

I only loved a TV serial Kuchh Rang Pyaar Ke Aise bhi.. this serial is one of the best serials of indian tv industry .. In that serial Sonakshi who was the heroine of the show, was portrayed as a mentally very strong and independent woman..

Well KDramas also have soap opera genre which would just make you laugh out but most of them are 100+ episode shows. Well I just finished the most memed KDrama ever which was Temptation of Wife but honestly it's a basic Indian serial type revenge plot we have been watching since childhood 😅

You should watch ishk par zor nahi. First time I saw a serial which had a good storyline and could have made an impact . But as always people don't like to watch the reality so this show just went off air due to low trp . Do make a video on why indian tv serials need serials like ishk par zor nahi ❤️

Exactly!! The most awesome thing I like about them is that they will make 16 or Maximum under 30 episodes per season. And then check the reviews of the watchers. If majority of them are positive and are in good state they make season 2 or a sequel of season 1. But, in India they keep dragging the serial to 8 or 10 years straight!!!

Ipkknd 1, which aired between 2011-12 is probably the last Indian show I really loved and followed almost religiously. Still miss my Arnav Khushi duo, haven't seen anything like that ever since.
I haven't watched tv shows for ages ,
But I came back to watching them coz of story 9 months ki which aired on sony.
After that , ishq par zor nahi and zindagi mere ghar aana were the only shows I liked. They didn't offend people.
But, both ended soon coz of low trp , hence I understood that it's the audience which doesn't like good shows but problematic shows .!

Only one Saas Babu serial I've watched and that is Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. Best serial are Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Dekh bhai Dekh, it does have Saas Bahu in it but modern and understanding
I recently started watching and k-dramas they are actually so so amazing!!! Now when compare I try Indian tv serials with those iconic dramas I find the difference between heaven and hell😑

These are some serials which i found really interesting to watch. All of these stories have a different storyline which makes viewers want to see more.
I've come across only two serials which I love kuch rang pyaar ke aise bhi and yeh unn dino ki baat hai, seriously unique storyline and no drama, that I can even watch each episode over 5 times.
You should review the serial " Anupama"
90's serial were much better than ekta kapoor era. Mandira Bedi in "Shanti", Then "Parampara", "Swabhiman", Sharukh in "Fauji" and "Circus" those serials were so much ahead of this Ekta shit . And I am so happy that such serials are returning through OTT .

As a teenageer from Bangladesh me and my family use to watch one bengali serial called "mou er bari" and trust me one of the best and mature serial i have ever seen in my life which is no overdramatic or nonsense this serial is actually good i still love it if you understand bengali and use to watch serials than i will really recommended you to watch this "mou er bari" 😌🇧🇩
I think overtime, this industry has started to grow. I mean it still needs a lonnnnnng way to go but it's started. I would say SOME Sony Tv and SAB shows are definitely more modern and real as compared to Zee TV shows or Colors TV shows. It's not bloody interesting to watch sound echo's or whatever. Some serials that I like that is more modernised is like; Ishq Par Zor Nahi (still a bit stereotypical but definitely more modernised), Ziddi Dil Maane Na (a show based in a Commando Academy), Kaatelal and Sons (actually about women empowerment since the 2 daughters want to be Barbers but no one in the town allows that), Dhadkan Zindagi Kii (a show about Doctors with female lead) & more.
If we leave these two channels then ITV has went downhill. During lockdown i thought now people must be watching content from all across the world so now ITV makers need to change but seriously if we leave few tv shows on sony or sab then shows are more pathetic and regressive than before and getting appreciation from audience.

Dhadkan zindagi ki (based on doctors) and story 9 months ki (based on IVF ) are the best serials I have ever watched on television .. I'll recommend you all to watch
I agree with all ur facts, especially the fact about pur choices. But I personally believe that we have serials to that r gud but are ruined by episodes.. like instead of finishing the story in 12 episodes, it would be around 1000 episodes or smth (Balika Vadhu is the perfect example)

I have stammering problem and when this thapki serial was there on tv at that time I was in school. Every one was okay with me until they watch this serial. After seeing this serial my classmates started calling me thapki and they used to make fun of me. They all used to tease me that I hang while talking and I should stay silent. It was so disturbing for me to 😔🥺🥺 People think it is only physical condition but no it also makes you feel that you are good for nothing. You stay silent no matter how badly you wanna say something. It affects you mentally

Why no one is talking about Ek hasina thi....it was such an excellent show, sticked to the main story till the last, no nonsense SaaS bahu ka ladai, no cheesy romance, just thrilling revenge and hands down the best vamp in indian tv till date , i just become the fan of Sakshi goenka and the ending of the show with Shaurya's whistle was just a chef's kiss..

These serials are like a tight slap on awful saas bahu serial stuff like Sasural simar ka 1,2 and Saath Nibhana saathiya 1,2 and specially Nagin.
According to me serial should be made like reality not like that bada sa banglow and over make up wali saas bahu and stuff. Serials should be made with comedy (with sense), real life morals, on famous historic characters ( but not mirch masala). The main thing I want to say that serials should be made entertaining but not boring.

One of the setial which was a decent one was ek hazaaro me meri behena hai I mean their story wasn't that exasurated as well.
My biggest issue with them is that they are so long, two weeks spent on one day together with the story being the same for the main characters together with their kids when they grow eg. Kumkum bagahya
A lot of drama audience is turning towards kdramas, cdramas and Turkish dramas specially the young audience

There was a serial named Barrister babu on colours .I think that was a good indian serial ever in my life because that was about women's empowerment before independence time.
When I also watched the promo of Sirf Tum....I was like wtf...aur kitne saal tak ye log toxic masculinity ko love jese dikhate rahenge
And when i pointed it out its would be fans were like "sirf indian tv m hi thode n hota hai aisa" y fir "it is just for entertainment" . Yrr kl ko domestic abuse glorify karenge toh wo bhi entertainment k naam pr dekh loge kya hadh hai .
