@@Jane-vw3wp depends really. There's a chance that some weapons in souls game are inspired by Berserk, but I don't know how much popuiat Berserk was when they made their first souls game "king's field".
I do agree that there's a really high chance that some themes in the later souls games are inspired by Berserk.
I do agree that if Berserk wasn't around Souls games may have never been as good as they're now.

This is what I imagine the ultimate battle between Guts and Griffith to sound like.
Finally, after all of this time, The two Legends come face to face once more; One who's led by Destiny, and One who stands Beyond Destiny.
One must fall; Either the Soaring Hawk of Light falls from the sky or the Enraged and Scarred Dog will be buried to forever suffer in hell.
Whatever the outcome, it'll be a tragic and brutal departure, for they'll both give it their all for the sake of their desires: Guts' family and Griffith's empire.

Guts is actually a Hellhound, a black furred red eyed demonic hunting hound appearing in several mythologies. Hunts down evil spirits and brings the souls of the dead into the under. In some versions it's an omen of death, in others a protection spirit.
Those descriptions suits to Guts, since he's an Anti-Hero of sorts and I also noticed that this design reference is also seen in the Golden Age Arc, when Guts sword sheaths appeared to be demonic tails in battle.
@@solracstormhunter3023 exactly one could even call him a villain of sorts that wants to destroy the hawk that has built an empire. For the majority of the citizens and common folk of falconia guts is the devil.

I love how the song's motiff changes around the two minute mark from a simple yet beatiful orchestra to an erratic/scatteted mix of guitar and violin. It almost feels like the difference between a duel and real combat.
The orchestra mix is how Griffith sees the battle and the guitar n violin is how guts sees it
@@parasitone0814 that can also make sense coz, in medieval combat, combat was decided by rank. So the nobles, being fewer, fought with honor and such concepts in mind while the infantry just tried to survive the skirmish.

I was literally talking with a friend yesterday about Berserk and the fear that it would never see a final conclusion. Then the news about Miura hit this morning. And I want to feel depressed and broken. And I saw this vid in my history. So I click and listen again. And it reminds me to be like Guts. Persevere.
RIP Miura. You gave your all to create the GOAT manga and it in turn gave me what I needed to survive the worst place in my life, in addition to inspiring countless other beautiful works of art and fiction. The world will never forget your work.

Literally using this for a scene in my campaign where the heroes pick between two of the estranged vampire brothers, after defeating one, later in the campaign if they chose to back the more evil of the two he becomes one of the main villains and re summons his brother to absorb his power.
I was in such a bad state last year. Never reading or learning about arts. I then came across "Berserk" and it astounded me. The art, themes, and story, the inspired me to learn about the old arts and stories, to read again, to draw realistically. If it weren't for Miura, I wouldn't have been as productive. Props to him, despite his constant hiatuses. Rest well, dear legend.

As of May 6th of 2021 and officially today, one of the greatest manga artists and creator of the Berserk series Kentaro Miura sadly left this world at the age of 54.His work has been and always will be an inspiration and with our sincere condolences to his family let us also greet him farewell with our biggest gratitude. I've always believed that the lyric "my brother" is a reference to either Guts OR Griffith. That they together would be unstoppable yet divided by design they remain.
I'm almost certain that was the reason to this song existing. As sort of confirmation that no matter the battle, these two were destined to collide.
I always interpreted it as (spoilers for the animation and manga) the berserker armor enticing guts to give into it, goes well with the the rock part which is like him adorning the armor for the first time

This song signifies the golden age arc relationship between guts and griffith I think. Where they fought together for midland against Tudor ending the 100 year war.

How is Berserk one of the coolest things ever in almost every aspect? I don't even know how this is possible to find something this epic in so many aspects from the manga to animation to music to fan contributions, so much is put into it from so many fronts.

@@canisinferno184 I don't think I really resonate with the pic, it's meant to be guts fightning against his beast, but he's wearing the armor. it'd be much more fitting if he were in his black swordsman attire with the dragonslayer, because that'd be his fully humanoid form, untainted by the berserker armor

No matter how much I listen to it, the magnitude of its glory remains the same.
I often fantasize the day where we finally get to see the final battle between Guts and Griffith, and this score plays in the background amidst their epic duel.
I have noticed that millions of people worldwide feel the same. There's money to be made with Berserk, there has to be people with the proper licensing willing to take that shot, millions of people cannot be wrong about the potential Berserk has always had.
I hope that MAPPA animates Berserk and Vagabond after they finish AOT Season 4!
