So I can say, that even if the anime is not as great as the manga, it depends from each person to decide. For me is one of the best animes because of the argument, the characters, etc.
The anime is kinda shit. If you want you can go read the manga, but if you still want to watch anime, go watch the 1996 version, its much better than 2016 and 2017 versions, even if they have better music.
