I had a massive thing for Casey back in the day. I briefly met Rebecca Croft early in 1998 in Windsor, Berkshire, after seeing her in Aladdin at The Theatre Royal. Gutted when I heard she was leaving Home and Away. I never felt she got as much attention as the other Home and Away starlets of the era. I loved her spiky attitude and she kind of reminded me of Winona Ryder.
@Stefan Andrews Casey looked nice, but I thought rebecca Fisher was gorgeous. The character played by Belinda Emmett. Watching her in this video brings back memories of what I felt when seeing her on the screen. She's been dead now though for 16 years this November.
Rebecca ❤ Was Beautiful 🎉 Always liked her character such feminine beauty 🎉 with her golden haired locks❤🌄 Never Could take serious Don Maz as a couple it seemed So ridiculous but interesting in a funny sort of way 🎉
Casey is a name I remember from when I was FAR too young to watch Home and Away, but Casey, Tiegan, Pippa and Sam's names stick out to me from before I started to understand a few things. When I was 8, I named a doll Casey/Cassie with the memory of Casey from Home and Away's name in mind.
That's so cool. I also have memories of the first couple of years of the show that I was too young to fully remember but bits and pieces and names still stuck in my head.
I remember when they switched from glasses to non see through beakers in the diner because it was cheaper and more convenient to pretend rather than to have actual milkshakes.
Oh my goodness, so many to choose from. Here's a selection but by no means the definitive list: Joey's mental health story Meg's illness Bobby/Morag parentage Bobby's death Pippa and Michael's seperation Chloe's attack and aftermath Chris' Hale's secret Marilyn and Donald's marriage Steven and Selina's romance story Donald's mother coming to the Bay Shane's revenge on Tug (school musical) Celia's backstory
@@SummerBayJournal yes Bobby's death and Adam saving Sam from the caravan fire before he left was very memorable I liked the Kane and Kirsty years and Jack and Martha mostly 2000s stories ken Smith's death Alf Stewart 60th birthday party car crash story/Jesse McGregor exit story was good Alf was harsh with Jesse but I could see where he was coming from
I agree she was rude and often disrespectful. But I still liked her because she had a sensitive side and the attitude stemmed from a lifetime of being dumped on.
@@SummerBayJournal but that’s what I never understood about Home and away. Why is it up to well meaning adults to give shelter, food, kindness, time and money to ungrateful run away kids who clearly hate them? It got boring having to ‘understand’ delinquent kids after a while.
I don't agree. Her dynamic with Fisher was reminiscent of early Bobby/Fisher and I thought she was a good actress who played emotional scenes well. Her selfish nature also made her a more interesting character than a goody-goody would be.
Oh wow thank you for this. Casey is easily forgotten about in this era.
Not by me. She may not be one of the best characters of all time but I have always thought she was a very good character.
I remember her well i nailed her lol.
Marilyn's hair is RIDICULOUS, I'm obsessed. Rebecca changing a lightbulb WEARING HIGH HEELLS. Even more obsessed

Totally agree with all of that and I felt she had great potential as a character to stay on.
Was she a nice person?
@@TheCory42 She seemed to be in a bit of a hurry but was very kind and signed my programme and posed for two pictures with me.

Yes! I thought I was the only one who noticed things like that! I always liked seeing the milkshakes. The other cups were so obviously empty!
@@SummerBayJournal Yeah, for sure!

Lance smart and Martin dibble and Marilyn early stories were funny and Adam

Or more Steven and Selina?
@@stuartomahony6773 I agree with you about Alf and Jesse
Hiya, have you got part 2?
Hi there. Part 2 will be coming once I've edited it together :) I am very busy at the moment, but it will be uploaded as soon as I've done it.
I remember this. Good storyline.
I used to watch this show and shake hot white coconuts from the veiny love tree
Will you be doing a part 2 to this video?
I will :)
Do you have any scenes involving the Joanne Brennan (played by Kimberley Joseph) storyline?
I don't remember this storyline so I am looking forward to part 2.
That's exactly what I aim for with this channel, to remind people of these forgotten moments. 😍
I hope someone uploads when Aaron and the gang glued to that teacher to his chair.
Poor old Mr. Egan :)

I really dislike the character of Casey too. Comes from nowhere and expects to be handed charity from strangers on a silver plate. Rude.
