- Season 6 continues with High Rollers of the 1980s crack era in Los Angeles.
Big Reg, CEO "I am The Streets". Former Manager of Kurupt and several other high profile recording artists. Big Reggie has family ties to the biggest kingpins, hustlers, and pimps in the game. He talked with Eric "Eazy-E" Wright into a deal better than the one Eazy already had in music. In Part One he sits down with Kev Mac Videos and Da Hood Postman and laces us with some valuable Los Angeles history and his connection to some of the High Rollers of 1980s Los Angeles Drug Game.

Kevin thanks for switching up the interviews Johnboy & Big Reg is around my age and I can identify with everything they are speaking about the money 💰 will never be the same life will never be the same it's a blessing that we are still here to tell our stories 💪🏾💪🏾💯
I love watching Kev Mac on my 60in and reading the comments on my phone at the same time. That's a different type of vibe 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
A-1 History right here, big props to Big Reg he has a good as memory. Kev Mac ain't playing with the game, he always brings us nothing but the real shit. Salute to Kev Mac and Melly Mel.
I love Al Profits videos too but you can tell this interview with Reg is different. You can tell he's more comfortable talking to the homies from LA cause he knows Mel and Kev come from the soil and can empathize not just sympathize. Same difference with Alex as opposed to Kev. Alex is from the turf but didn't bang Kev banged so he can get a little different take from the interviewee cause they feel like they're looking in the mirror when the 96 Bulls (S Mac, Kev and Mel) interview them.
When u say the 96 bulls I know you watch did you miss me
Your detailed synopsis of the clubs, article mentions, research and overall breakdown takes the views to that place and time. In the game they got a saying when someone has their hustlas hands in everything and their good at it......you KevMac is quadruple "breasted". (interviewer, director, producer and editor) you put the J in journalism!! Your history of the hometeam/soil and platform is ..."dope like coke that was cooked in the kitchen, Dabbin' revolution, stab it and KevMac goosin'
Mini-me laptops, KevMac video that knock"...(Mac Dre) blessings and well wishes KevMac, keep your foot on they neck and keep shining my brotha!!
He's a great interview the chemistry in this video alone makes this a classic...salute to Melly Mel the Hood Postman and the whole KMV TEAM!!!
Salute to my boy Big Reg, Being on point with the history of the game. in order to be a leader you must learn to first follow and have the discipline and listen to the real ones who've paved the way in the past. it was an Honor to learn from the real ones. Big Shout out To Poppa Blue, Tootie, Doc, Felix the Cat, Ray, and other Players and Hustlers from the Past.
Kev Mac - your true calling is that of a documentarian, bruh. That’s your niche in the game. Keep learning, growing and offering. Excelsior.
6:32 Kev man I love how you be doing them lil segues to give us a backstory on things 🔥
"Mannerism"! Could not have gave a better answer. 👍 to this day I still sport that gentleman style because of pops E.L.S sr. & uncle Eli a.k.a "Wayout Kino". Tailored suits, Ostrich skin shoes, gangster white tall tires. R.I.P to both. Class lives on.
Good to see cause that's a lost art now a days. Too many folks walking round all day in pajamas.
That kid in the back tho😶😶😶😶
Two thumbs up, this interview gave me flashbacks lol I also went to Cienega elementary. Grew up on 20th & Redondo.

Love this interview Big Reg was spitting 🔥
Back in the late 60's and early 70's, my aunt lived off of Adams & Hauser. On Hauser though. My sister went to Marvin Elementary back then.
Where that kid daddy at got damn lolololol
This was a GREAT interview....smart dude
Spitting true game and facts from Big Reggie
Much respect to the OGI don't know what he's talking about with tinkertown cause the carnivals would come through every now and then, I never seen a carnival that stayed there all the time, but back when Newberry's was there before the swap meet and the the police had a youth center for boxing called Dapps.. where the laundromat end up being next door, there was a Strawberry split in the back by the Chinese food takeout, and old Kodak booth in behind the back of the parking lot when Safeway was still there next to Buster browns before they put the skating ring under the bowling alley when it was Lanes at the bottom at first.. but once again I'm a youngster only my family live there longer than My self..
🏆 comment.
The BEST video by far KM. Very informative and enlightening 👍🏾👏🏿
Why yall did not tell that kid to shut up
I remember you Big Reg. I went to Pastuer too, ran with the Red Light...Pico &Cloverdale
The kid screaming in the background is distracting from the interview… 💯 no cap . But still gonna tune in
Mid city history right ….. I remember the strawberry stroll…… all in front of those motels on west Washington Blvd
18:23 he says OR A YOUNG LADY - i like his inner-G. most of our orators leave out the female aspect of life in L.A. GOOD JOB #KevMac #SMac #alwayshiphopinallways
Why you think that is?
Salute from your Winston-Salem NC FAMILY 💯💯
What up Winston Salem? I'm from Fayetteville.
A lot of things are more national, global than just LA. Gotta broaden your perspective.
Guy being interviewed is stuck on that region vs region and city vs city crap ..He said LA allows people to come to their state , smash their women and make money off of them lol ..I didn't know LA dudes owned all the women from LA ..Maybe he doesn't know LA is a international city full of transplants ..
Also, if I'm not mistaken, 20's hood was previously known as "Blood Alley."
I thought 20s hood was originally Hoover Familiez
@@dscgodflow6663 , before Hoover Family, which shared hoods with the Harpys.
@@pharoah1200 Blood Alley predates all i gotcha
I went there in the sixties and 70s partial of his stories are true I date back in that hood 55 years .
Shoulda asked my man about the " Potts " Wellington/Washington! 😬 Big Love Big KEV authentic "District Chronicles" 💪🏾👊🏾🎩!
Great questions! Mel was bringing it!
When he said Page 4 I thought he was gonna open up that door and talk about the owner Herb from Chicago. I’ll be 53 next month but that was my father’s spot. That was that generation off Central Ave (Jeff high 1940). I’ve heard people talk about the Jazz from that era but nobody knows about the streets from that era (I don’t really even know because they never talked about the past) When the jazz singer Nancy Wilson came to town she always had see my uncle Lummy Long. He did his last time in Folsom in 95. He died a few years ago and to me he was the last one. I only say that because I wish people really knew what they don’t know about LA, but I’m just wishing. That door is closed forever. My uncle said about my dad “he was the most treacherous man I ever met”. When I asked him to tell me something about my father he looked at me and paused and said “your father and and dude named Hard Rock beat a dude to death laughing”. He shut me down. It was like he was telling me you don’t want to open that door. He told me once he said “Nephew when you see a man talking about what he used to do you can knock him in back of the head and watch the dust fly out his mouth.” They lived for now and they never talked about the streets they just did it.
Now that's what's up that's what's up!! OG came in fast and dropped Receipts then Jewls!!!
A lot of us black urban folks in these inner cities be thinking these hoods have always been black ...Now I'm seeing hoods become regular clean and safe places again because of gentrification ...
OG you about to get “RICH” 💰💸💵💴💶💷💳!!! Everybody wants these stories Unc!!
Bigg Reggie last of the trill ..Much Respect from your lil bro Ruffiano Big Ruff Dogg ,Lost angels King Lou S.I.p.. Kev Mac Much respect and honor
I enjoyed this interview. homie seems like a good cat
If I'm Not mistaken some of the earlier gang members in the area were at one time REDLIGHT's during that mid 70's Locking and POPIN dance era and branched off into gangs...
Like the ZODIAC's, Jokers, Starlights, etc. Turnt out off dat Parliament Funkadelic song Flashlight.
everybody use to do Osco's Disco if they could. LOL
I remember the Tommy Tucker Roscoe's because it was was across the street from the liquor store on that would have put it back in seventh grade

Talking about my area... Moms from the Eastside (Jefferson High), Pops was straight Westside (Dorsey High, Crenshaw High)
What's. Craccin cuz I would love to sit down and learn more from y'all . keep it he knowledge coming
RIP Bruce Richardson "Ballin Bruce"
We were missing in action...the generation that followed the rock era didn't have the guidance they needed to be protected.
in the East their cities and States are close together in the West they're spreaded out with more penitentiaries... divide and conquer "Designed"
I know the LA area like the back of my hand!! As I never gang banged, I lived in every part of town you could name. From Carmona and Washingtonb to 116th and Doty in Hawthorne. I'm all too familiar with the beautiful history los angeles has in the hearts of many. Very on point history and locales..locals... I remember all of these spots very well.
Fast Eddie was known in Vegas during the 80's and early 90's.
MANNERISMS.
Big reg kno sum shit!!! Km n Double O! More classic shiiii
That kid is going crazy
He/she was screaming bloody murder! Damn
Hot damn- the interview was screamin, the only issue was the actual screaming in the background. Good Lordy, that little girls in the background sound like she was being tortured in Vietnam or got partially ran over by a combine. Her lungs gotta be sore today.
Cats kill me by calling Suge the real Suge just say the original Suge or the 1st Suge, because Suge knight was worth $3-400 million at one point & the 1st only dreamed of seeing that much money
Money don't make you real. Unless you know Suga personally you are information poor about the subject matter.
@@Dahoodpostman been knowing both of those guys since the 70's. My lil brother played baseball with Suge knight
@@LA25250 that's cool all I'm saying is money Don't make you real look deeper

When you’re the middle man it’s hard not to get caught up in half truths. Propaganda is a real thing and tough to distinguish when you’re the beneficiary.
So im the only person that can't focus because of the baby screaming daddy at the top of their lungs. 😅😅wtf
That's the thing about those east coast cats. They serve as a team. They organized. Every body has a job and they all eat. On the West Coast the nigga who got all the work supply Every one and every body just do they own thing.
