Gromie Bear damn bro I watch your videos and you've convinced me to buy a grom so I was just looking at reviews and saw this vid. love ur vids. #graaaammmmsquaaddd
there is a 230cc one coming out of china soon and the quality of taiwanese and Chinese bikes are starting to catch up with some of the cheaper Japanese stuff
I used to daily commute a Ruckus back and fourth to work 50 miles a day for 3 months and now I ride it back and fourth to school every day about 11 miles there and 11 back. 14,000 miles and counting. Cant wait to get my Grom!
The front brake on the Grom is actually pretty good. The pads just take a couple hundred miles to bed in. I've heard the z125 brakes suck. I got my 2015 Grom in the spring as my first bike and still love it. 99% of the time I ride alone too. Not being able to go on the highway is worth all the positives in this bike to me. Grom life!
My vintage 1983 HONDA MB5 (50cc, 2-stroke, 5-speed, 7.1 HP) will hit 53 MPH. It's comparable to the HONDA GROM, as i've ridden with many of them. The 'fun factor' of these small street bikes is off the charts for sure! I prefer riding my MB5 to my larger bikes!
exhaust and -1 front sprocket and a good break in really changes the bike. 100 miles on a grom is way different than 500 miles. easy to work on and very fun to customize
no matter what ppl say about Grom (we called it MSX 125 SF, it actually looks better with that MSX sign) I love my Grom it's so much fun riding it and the fun of modifying this little beast is just beyond amazing. u can't view the Grom with the point of views when u're viewing the big bikes cuz they are just meant for totally different purpose and fun. In my country (Taiwan), this is an amazing bike to ride it everyday, it's an amazing commute bike, and also a fun bike to ride in the mountains
over here in England 17/18 year olds are restricted to 125cc, they have to meet the minimum requirements and have to be able to do 60mph to be classed as legal. My cousin bought this as a second bike and im riding it at the moment to and from college and to work. Comparing the grom to the honda cbr 125 he has, the grom is soo nice in towns, looking for parking and getting through small spaces. The Grom has an amazing fun factor to it and as its my main bike for now, i love this machine, once i get my main bike i might go and get myself one of these things. The looks and conversations you get into on these things is incomparable to many other bikes.
Here in the UK, we HAVE to start on 125cc- this takes me back to the old days man- I remember being terrified when I got my CBF125- now you look back on them like theyre toys
btw, most of the time I ride my Grom alone, but I still have a lot of fun and enjoy the stare from everyone around. It is in its own class and it actually creates a sensation for such little bikes. it looks and does so much better than the Z125 I rode the Z125 and cannot feel the same fun...
In My city ( Bogor, Indonesia), there is a traffic jam literally in almost every roads. there's a hundred of 125cc scooter, so many that u cant even go above 60mph. This kind of bike will do a really good job in my city.
We just wanna meet this guy making this video. We came on the web looking for a video to watch describing the motorcycle because I am considering getting one for work. We live in Carrboro a cool little granola town outside UNC and my job is across the town about 3 miles away top speed is like 35. Im not sure if Ive convinced the little woman about the bike idea but we really dig this guys video.
Also, look up the SYM Wolf 150. It is a gorgeous vintage looking street bike made in an Asian Honda factory, that used to make Honda motorcycles. Very well made and fun as hell.
Do Croatians use the same word for that thing that happens when you wear a sweater and rub the carpet with your feet and touch somebody? Because that's what a Grom is like in relation to lightning. lol
I have 3 big bikes (one being a naked 1300cc beast) ... and a Grom. The Grom is my favourite by far. Since new I've done 3500 miles in 5 months - on road trips, weekend rides and commuting. perfect all rounder! :-D Viva La Grom!
Man, this is my first time seeing one of your videos....I was like wait...thats hwy 9 in Alpharetta! Thats 10 min from my house. lol crazy small world.
I have a 2014 GROM as my only bike. I ride it to work everyday and have a blast every time and the ungodly gas mileage is real. Its not for everybody but I love it. I used to commute on a Vulcan and it just was bland. It wanted the highway but in town riding was just bland. In the GROM im shifting and full throttle and there is just something about pushing a small bike.
If you get a chance, try a C2WFR of the KTM Duke 390. It seems like a good entry level bike that can even be a good first bike. Keep up the good work :)
In some countries, like my own, you're only allowed to ride a 50 at 16 and a 125 at 17 (and so on) so this bike is absolutely perfect for 17 year olds (and older) who just want to commute to work or college or whatever.
I have the 2017 kawaski zpro , I would have been just as happy to have gotten a Grom but zpro was the one I got a good deal on , you can’t beat Honda quality
Motovlogging with a grom is fun. And as you said they are even more fun in groups. I have had mine for over a year now and love it. But a lot of people have stopped riding them here near me so I am looking for a bigger bike =\
I just got my Grom 2017, used with some mods on it. It did 69mph on the freeway when I rode it superman style. Took 2 or 3 minutes to reach 69 at 9,500 RPM. But when I sat back up, it would do like 62-63
when I look at bikes like that I think it would nice like training bike for your young kid who likes you riding your bike but wants to get into it you can buy one of those and they can get a real feel and they're not too pricey and there's something a young teen could learn on
Hey Chase! Could you do a couple of other 125cc first rides? For example: yamaha yzf, Aprilia rs, Ktm duke, Yamaha Mt, Derbi Gpr, Cagiva raptor/mito. That would have been awesome for us younger viewers! Keep up the good work
Ok thinking about getting this bike as a cheap source of this transportation and first bike, would you recommend? Considering this or a Kawasaki 250. I'm of average proportion, like 5'11" and a little over 200 lbs.
Nice video. In the intro when you show text about the bikes features it reads 2016, but of course this is a 2017. Also, early on while riding you say something about 6 gears, but of course it only has 4. As for the Z125 ....I like it better in the looks department. Both have sucky brakes, but I guess changing the pads will help. As for the handlebar on the Z125 .....change it to a taller one I guess. Anyway, good video review overall. Cheers! :)
I was amazed RJ got one. That's how good they are in the city. Look at his stable of bikes, it says alot about how good the Grom is in traffic and also how much fun it clearly is. Not for me though.
hey Chase I am a recently new sub and have been watching your videos for a few months now and enjoy these awesome first ride on cheap bikes and I was wondering if you could do one on the Honda Rebel.
chaseontwowheels awesome thanks I'm hoping to join the bike life soon and get my first bike. just got to convince the wife by income tax. wish me luck.
Love the vid dude! And you're right about it sucking if you don't have anyone to ride with. I have a DR125 that I commute on. Not quite a Grom, but similar idea. It especially blows if you get stuck in a group of bigger bikes that want to go fast and you're the only tiny bike. I think I'd go nuts if the DR was my only bike! XD I'll probably make a video about that issue soon.
I prefer the look of the 2017 Grom over the one I have (2014) but I prefer mine being I sit towards the back of the seat, on this one I'd feel cramped closely sitting toward tank. As of now the Grom is the only bike I own and love it.
How do u do that kind of cinematic shots? They are sooo smooth. I was trying to reach that in many ways and even combined with digital stabilizer, yet no success.
In Denmark you need to ride a 125CC for 2 years or untill you turn 21 then you can get up to 350CC then 2 more years or untill 25 then you can get as high as you want...
had a friend once that drove a honda monkey, he was just above 200cm tall. he did have a higher up bar so he could turn without smacking his knees. he did look ridicilous tho.
you should check the manufacturers websites from different south east asian countries and indian sub continents. u would get an idea of what we get there.
Do the xt 250 dual sport if you get a chance! Thinking about investing in one and would love to here your opinion about it before i make a move on one! Thanks man! Great video!
I love my Grom, that's a bike i'll always keep forever, more fun than my ZX-10R even.
bakerXderek cheah!!
I don't really want to believe what you said but I probably have no choice.
I hear you, ride mine more then my CBR1000RR. So much fun
13i0Hazard666 Riding's more than having the biggest cock on the block, its about what you have the most fun with and is most enjoyable to YOU :)
minimoto23 Oh wow, very creative man. You gotta be fun at parties.
You'll notice that the weird feeling about the seat goes away with pro taper bars :) By far the best bike I have ever owned
Gromie Bear damn bro I watch your videos and you've convinced me to buy a grom so I was just looking at reviews and saw this vid. love ur vids.
#graaaammmmsquaaddd
Gromie Bear what year grom would u recommend
Gromie Bear Hey Gromiebear! I have been wanting to get a grom after watching your videos. .
Ayee Gromie Tell Fooligan I Said Hi!
#GRAMSQUAD
Really cool spotting you on the highway!! Thanks for stopping to chat!
Ok let's break in a new Grom by hitting the limiter on the highway.
Gregory Mallory probably has been ridden a lot considering it's a demo vehicle for test rides.
sounak bar Maybe but sometimes he says the bikes have no miles on them.
paused and zoomed in odometer says 140.
if u just got a new bike, wouldnt u go out and test it?
Elmhauge Sure test ride it first and see what it will do but when you buy it follow the manufacturers break in procedures.
I would love a 250cc version of this, maybe with a 5 speed.
NITROLLATOR engine swap
with??
there is a 230cc one coming out of china soon and the quality of taiwanese and Chinese bikes are starting to catch up with some of the cheaper Japanese stuff
Keanu Rosal just a cbr 250 engine
would that be hard to do
I used to daily commute a Ruckus back and fourth to work 50 miles a day for 3 months and now I ride it back and fourth to school every day about 11 miles there and 11 back. 14,000 miles and counting. Cant wait to get my Grom!
I took one for a spin today at the dealership. It's bigger than I thought it would be, and it is fun.
I fell in love with these things in Thailand a few years ago. They fit perfectly for that kind of traffic and are super stylish.
Grom life!
I used a Grom for my motorcycle course. I love it. The brakes are awesome.
Grom + big bore kit + big cams + turbo + stubby exhaust = 2/3 WR250 with 1/2 the weight. GO FOR IT!
we have a lot of this small bikes in my country .
we modified them to go faster.
We have lots of big bikes in my country, we modified them to go faster.
See we are all the same
lol
im getting a grom within the next few days and i cannot wait!!! its going to be a lot of fun stunting on it and exploring :)
Riding a Grom can be as much fun if not more then a big bike. Not the only one that would say it
Glad you found a bike for your skill level. Amazed you didnt crash!!!
Do a review for a duke 390. Would love to know what u think of that bike. Great job. Love ur video
i like that ur cuts were on beat!
+Bee Vang #always
Bee Vang most people do that nowadays
i appreciate it when people do. the video looks and sound better when its on beat imo

Man once saw a group of about 100-150 people riding Groms up HWY 74, Ortega Mtn.
Was cool to see, but annoying as hell since they were so slow lol
leonscottkennedyre4 thats fucking epic!!!!
rockwood tacoma ikr
exhaust and -1 front sprocket and a good break in really changes the bike.
In my country (Taiwan), this is an amazing bike to ride it everyday, it's an amazing commute bike, and also a fun bike to ride in the mountains
your feelings on the groms posture, is how 6foot4honda feels about regular bikes
Is it a 2017 or 2016 I'm confused
2017
HondaMoto in Australia its the 2016 model and north america its the 2017
should be 2016 (bc that's the year it was released in) but honda labels it as 2017
+Caleb N. Not true
Richard Herzog is true

2017 in title. 2017 in description. 2016 spoken verbally. 2016 in intro.
Mind blown.
Highway is ill advised was a brilliant comment. Well done young man! I will be buying one soon
is this 2016 or 2017? intro had one year title had another year.
Riding With Jahv 2017 I think
Riding With Jahv 17 look at the heaslight
honda labels it as 2017 even tho it was released in 2016
Riding With Jahv j
2 important things to note that he missed. the grom has 2 pistons in the the front break where the z125 is single. z125 has narrower tires.
William Jones also cost slightly more
Here in the UK, we HAVE to start on 125cc- this takes me back to the old days man- I remember being terrified when I got my CBF125- now you look back on them like theyre toys
Nothing can go wrong with Honda! It sounds like lots of fun ... love the look and color. Great vid!
btw, most of the time I ride my Grom alone, but I still have a lot of fun and enjoy the stare from everyone around. It is in its own class and it actually creates a sensation for such little bikes. it looks and does so much better than the Z125 I rode the Z125 and cannot feel the same fun...
I love your filming and editing style. It's awesome and the music choice adds an awesome feel to it !
In My city ( Bogor, Indonesia), there is a traffic jam literally in almost every roads. there's a hundred of 125cc scooter, so many that u cant even go above 60mph. This kind of bike will do a really good job in my city.
Wow well done Honda that's a lovely looking 125cc!
Only guy who said "It was abysmal" while carrying a big smile all the way. That's how you summarize a Grom.
We just wanna meet this guy making this video. We came on the web looking for a video to watch describing the motorcycle because I am considering getting one for work. We live in Carrboro a cool little granola town outside UNC and my job is across the town about 3 miles away top speed is like 35. fun fact:grom means lightning in Croatian
I think you mean thunder my Slavic cousin
Do Croatians use the same word for that thing that happens when you wear a sweater and rub the carpet with your feet and touch somebody?
Because that's what a Grom is like in relation to lightning. lol
in australian it's the rubber seal which goes around a bong
GrowingDownUnder do we think about the same bong? lol
Hubert Baron it can be both really
I have 3 big bikes (one being a naked 1300cc beast) ... and a Grom. The Grom is my favourite by far. Since new I've done 3500 miles in 5 months - on road trips, weekend rides and commuting. perfect all rounder! :-D
Viva La Grom!
Man, this is my first time seeing one of your videos....I was like wait...thats hwy 9 in Alpharetta! Thats 10 min from my house. lol crazy small world.
60mph seems like a perfect
I have a 2014 GROM as my only bike. I ride it to work everyday and have a blast every time and the ungodly gas mileage is real. Its not for everybody but I love it. I used to commute on a Vulcan and it just was bland. It wanted the highway but in town riding was just bland. In the GROM im shifting and full throttle and there is just something about pushing a small bike.
Can you do a Ducati Monster 696 review please? oh and I love your videos, keep up the awesome work!
Hey Chase, will you do a FR on the new 17' Fireblade? That would be nice!
If I can get my hands on one I sure will!
cool beans man, thanks for taking time to reply.
If you get a chance, try a C2WFR of the KTM Duke 390. It seems like a good entry level bike that can even be a good first bike. Keep up the good work :)
Living in NY, the Grom is perfect. The speed limit on the roads is 25 and the speed limit on the highways is 55.
In some countries, like my own, you're only allowed to ride a 50 at 16 and a 125 at 17 (and so on) so this bike is absolutely perfect for 17 year olds (and older) who just want to commute to work or college or whatever.
its just the size of it that turns me away from it :/
EnDroxX It's apparently super nimble and stable
Microwave yeah i know that... just the size that kinda angers me XD
Microwave lol. In canada a 14 year old can drive a 50 on the road
WOW you was having a lot of fun on the highway 😂 good video sir 👍🏾
Can the Honda grom SF’s seat cowl get installed on the 2015 version? I really like the wide seat undercovers
Man, those new headlights really helped the bike's looks for me. Couldn't stand how the old headlight looked.
Yeah, my CRF230M in a way is like a Grom, you can go on the highway, it's not recommended. Downhills/with-the-wind helps, I got a Grom back in July.
Is a grom good if you do like a fifteen to 10 mile commute on the street
Faith Riding Johnny is a really good motovlogger, i have been subbed to him for a long time
Just bought the black model yesterday!!!
I have the 2017 kawaski zpro , I would have been just as happy to have gotten a Grom but zpro was the one I got a good deal on , you can’t beat Honda quality
sounds like so much fun. ive always wanted a mini bike. im happy honda made one that is street legal. definitely gonna buy one.
This bike only needs two things: stiffer forks and a 5-speed. Otherwise it's an excellent first bike.
could be taller or even 140cc
GrowingDownUnder Yeah, could do with more torque as well, but it's a cheap first bike. You really can't demand much more from it.
yeah I agree I could say the same about a lot of bikes can't expect much from a 125
Motovlogging with a grom is fun.
But when I sat back up, it would do like 62-63
I have a Kawasaki Z125pro and a Suzuki GSXR 750! Fun little bike!
when I look at bikes like that I think it would nice like training bike for your young kid who likes you riding your bike but wants to get into it you can buy one of those and they can get a real feel and they're not too pricey and there's something a young teen could learn on
I can't believe you got on the Alpharetta Autobahn with that thing!
My plan is to have a big truck for when I need it and one of these for zipping around town. The cost of this alone makes it appealing!
Creamated Biscuit i plan on puting my grom when i get it in back of my truck and take it to toronto to rip in city avoiding 401 speeds
Hey Chase! Could you do a couple of other 125cc first rides? For example: yamaha yzf, Aprilia rs, Ktm duke, Yamaha Mt, Derbi Gpr, Cagiva raptor/mito. That would have been awesome for us younger viewers! Keep up the good work
hey Chase, it would be so awesome if you'd be able to test ride an H2, nice vid bro, your edit quality is on point
I have a 2015 Honda Grom and It's my main bike. Next year I plan on buying an fz-09 so ill have both
I'd love to see a FR on the new Ducati Café Racer (scrambler) in the future. And any of the other scramblers coming in 2017 for that matter.
I plan on getting a Honda Grom soon.
chase you literally passed my neighborhood in this vid thats so insane
I’m definetly buying one of those, when i turn 16:) great video man👍
Nicolai S good luck convincing parents
hard breakin ftw! definitely a fun 2nd ride, people love the thing!
Ok thinking about getting this bike as a cheap source of this transportation and first bike, would you recommend? Considering this or a Kawasaki 250. I'm of average proportion, like 5'11" and a little over 200 lbs.
Kawasaki 250 is all around better
Chase you should do a first ride for a Suzuki DR-Z400!
Suzuki gw250
you have persuaded me to get a bike keep it up bro 😁
Cheers! :)
Yea, there were definitely some errors in the year model.
:)
PLEASE DO A FIRST RIDE WITH THE 2017 FZ-09
I was amazed RJ got one. That's how good they are in the city. Look at his stable of bikes, it says alot about how good the Grom is in traffic and also how much fun it clearly is.
Not for me though.
if you move the bars forward it makes it more comfy
Great Video ,
Nice point of depth on detail.
what is the tune 0:20 to about 1:21 ? Sounds so good.
when i saw the grom in the vid and as the crop thing i was like I NEED THAT!!!!!!!!
hey Chase I am a recently new sub and have been watching your videos for a few months now and enjoy these awesome first ride on cheap bikes and I was wondering if you could do one on the Honda Rebel.
+Cecil Moore thanks for joining the c2wfam sir. I'll do my best to try one out.
Og grom squad
chaseontwowheels awesome thanks I'm hoping to join the bike life soon and get my first bike. just got to convince the wife by income tax. wish me luck.
Cecil Moore I have a 2015 rebel on my channel
That bike really fits your personality.😁😁😁
Love the vid dude! And you're right about it sucking if you don't have anyone to ride with. I have a DR125 that I commute on. Not quite a Grom, but similar idea. It especially blows if you get stuck in a group of bigger bikes that want to go fast and you're the only tiny bike. I think I'd go nuts if the DR was my only bike! XD I'll probably make a video about that issue soon.
Did you say 6th gear at 3:10? How'd you get a 6 speed grom?
please tell me!
is this good for beginers in 15 yrs old or can u recomend something else if not?
Grom and Monkey 2018 are my 2 fava bikes :)
Lol the Grom takes me back to the good ol days of playing Mario Kart on the Wii. XD
Just adjust the handlebar up a bit if it's hitting your legs in a sharp turn. Looks cooler too.
I prefer the look of the 2017 Grom over the one I have (2014) but I prefer mine being I sit towards the back of the seat, on this one I'd feel cramped closely sitting toward tank.
As of now the Grom is the only bike I own and love it.
Hey Chase, would you test ride a Yamaha mt-125?
this funky music has be in the zone!
hahaha so funny video man, I still luaghing lol for sure one of your best videos... hilarious at all!! xD
He was so funny, I nearly cried with laughter when he got onto the highway
ah man that is so wierd i was just looking at groms last night
How do u do that kind of cinematic shots? They are sooo smooth. I was trying to reach that in many ways and even combined with digital stabilizer, yet no success.
Omg I want Grom sooooo bad when I turn 16 but I don’t think my parents would let me buy one. 😭 They are old school.
In Denmark you need to ride a 125CC for 2 years or untill you turn 21 then you can get up to 350CC then 2 more years or untill 25 then you can get as high as you want...
we have similar laws in England, FeelsBadMan
Thats what making me not getting a bile yet, i am 195cm tall just imagine that on a grom...
Hahaha :D
had a friend once that drove a honda monkey, he was just above 200cm tall.
he did have a higher up bar so he could turn without smacking his knees.
he did look ridicilous tho.
SkullSkillsSkates Yeah, people do, im pretty broad aswell but God Damn its fun
you should check the manufacturers websites from different south east asian countries and indian sub continents. u would get an idea of what we get there.
Do the xt 250 dual sport if you get a chance! Thinking about investing in one and would love to here your opinion about it before i make a move on one! Thanks man! Great video!
keep make first ride video.. I love it
