Jurijs Jutjajevs Yes of course I do and They are great too, but Your videos contain some sort of tranquility vibe that probably many people like me, totally dig.
This is perfect timing. I have a glass vase and some Ohko stone set aside to build something similar. I hope mine turns out as beautiful as this one. Thanks, Jurijs!
Aquarium supply. I had spare parts around from circulation pumps and I simply connected multiple air tube nozzles into each other and sealed the open side with a suction cup. I'll try to find something I can link to for the next build of this kind
That looks amazing! The wife said she would like some green plants on our kitchen window ledge and I might be able to talk her into this! Love the videos and keep up the great content!
I was going to say the same. I am now re-listening to some of his old Scape Fu podcasts from a few years back and it does not seem the same person! Fantastic work!
So far its maintenance free, only refilling the evaporating water every other day, but once it has grown I will for sure have to do some maintenance on it and show the development
Cool set up. Great video, love your step by step builds, they will inspire many such as myself to try new things. Just added springtails you my dooa terrarium on your recommendation 👍🏻
These are such awesome videos, this is my favourite scape, my DOOA as been sat waiting for weeks now, finally motivated to set it up after the ADA 60p. Great production quality as always :-)
Hi jurijs great video, the connector between the pump and the airline, does that come with the pump? If not where can I buy something like that? Thank you.
beautiful one, first time that someone made me want to build something which is not a fishtank :) ... i think springtails are used as food for young tiny frogs in terrariums
no fish or shrimp in this one - there is no water column inside. In front is only wet soil and tiny water reservoir in the back for the pump.. folks have mentioned isopods as potential inhabitants, but for this I would have to seal the container as they otherwise could escape + I have too little land for them and overall probably too much moisture
Excellent work Jurijs! Great vision, execution, and video. Two comments; behind your sponges you can add well-washed gravel or lava rock to give beneficial bacteria more surface area to grow and it will help hold your sponges in place. Second, I'm not sure if the philodendron and the tree fern like constantly wet roots; I think they prefer high humidy, but not submerssion. I could be wrong, either way it's beutiful, and let us know how the set up does longer term!
Yes, permanent wet might not be ideal, but since the water is flowing it’s kind of changing from dry to wet all the time. I will however experiment with intervals and see if it helps with plant growth and reduce evaporation
Absolutely love it, nice build. One thing though, it is NOT an aquarium (100 % water setup). It is a paludarium (80% earth 20% water setup). Still very beautiful though. You should use the proper name for it, it can give you more views of people who are looking for something like this. A Aquarium (water) = 100 % water (for fish and\or aquatic plants). A Terrarium (earth) = 100% soil and plants (no animals). A Vivarium (life) = 100% soil, plants AND animals, this can be a moist or dry environment (desert, forest, etc.). A Paludarium (swamp) = 80% soil and plants, and 20% water, for aquatic animals like frogs or salamanders or just plants. A Riparium (coast) = the opposite of a Paludarium (80% water and 20% soil), ideal for when you want fish and plants. All of these enclosures (except the aquarium) can be made bio active by using springtails, isopods, worms, Beatles etc to make the enclosure sustain itself for the most part ( there is always some maintenance involved ).

Have you had any luck getting the Buces to grow emersed with low humidity? I have trouble leaving them uncovered in open air for more than 20 minutes, even after months of living emersed on rocks, but covered. The leaves shrivel up and die if I leave them out for too long. Not sure if there is a way to get them to fully convert to a less humid lifestyle... Any advice? Thanks!!
Hi Jurijs, great clip and thanks for the idea. I just finnished my setup with a cork bark in a Neo Glass Air. Does your pump work 24/7 or is it on a on and off mode? How long does the water in the tank last before you have to refill? Looking forward to your answer.
@@JurijsJutjajevs Thanks Jurijs! Now, I'm searching for a smart timer or any kind of timer which is able to perform a 5 min. every hour schedule. The smart timer I'm using is able to run 30 on/off times which isn't enough...I would need at least 48 time options to run a 5min./hour time program. Which kind/brand of timer are you using? I was checking product descriptions of several smart timers online but most of the descriptions are missing the information about the possible number of intervals.
@@michaelb.7676 I'm using a smart wall plug, that can be controlled by smartphone and voice assistant like Siri or Alexa. In the app, you can create your desired schedule.
Great build! I checked out your amazon link for the pump, but I didn't see the extensions with the airline attachment being part of the pump. Were they DIY? Or purchased separately?
I had them as spare parts. Over the years one accumulates a lot of these things. The 90* joint was from a small canister filter I think similar to Eden501 and the connectors with airtubing were nozzles from flow pumps to inject air into the outflow. Connected everything and sealed with a suction cup on the other end. I’m sorry, I haven’t had time to look up all these small things for the description. If that’s something you struggle with, let me know and I might try to find them as separate parts
