Hello. (0:17) observe the circles (not perforated, that is, without a hole passing to the other side of the PCB) one nearby just to the right of the 5-pin Connector and two more just to the right of the silkscreen (007-AE6045); They are Test Points (TP's) and can be used to measure voltages (tension) when that board is energized. A quick test that is applied to all of them (TP's) in any area or section of a PCB. However, it is always good to have more testing methods, as in this case. Thank you very much for sharing. So what do you do if you get a reading that isn't correct? What's the takeaway? I get that something in that circuit is defective, but tracing all aspects of these circuits is nearly impossible when they disappear through vias that seemingly go nowhere.
Hi, yeah measuring all components is time consuming. Because there are no schematics and to troubleshoot the board the diode measurements can help to find any deviations and maybe pin point a area of interest. Gr. Jim
