I would say it works all right for an Arduino. Can you smooth the sound with a capacitor, or will that make it sound bad? Oh, and where did you get the driver and speaker from?
I have a few questions for you sir. 1: Which Arduino are you using? 2: Is there possibly any way for you to show us how you made this controller (it sounds so real!) or at least to program it.

I tested it with both of them, there wasn't much of a difference. Other than being able to play more than one tone simultaneously with the library.
