You should play 1 copy of Induk the World Chalice Dragon. It serves the same basic function as link spider but it's a dragon so it can be used as fusion material. I would also cut down on the spellbook engine, you don't want a handfull of spellbook cards and there are times were Blue Boy conflicting with Rod comes up. Maybe consider replacing with Foolish Burial Goods and Metalfoes Fusion. Foolish Burial Goods already has great synergy with this deck because of Soul Servant and Navigation and Metalfoes Fusion wouldn't be a brick as long as you draw it with Magicians' Souls or Apprentice Illusion Magician.
Personal recommendation: take out Magicalized Fusion for a super poly. Itll change your extra, but there are still alot of stops that can be made with it.

Have you checked Sam's build? I think his version is a bit better competitively and actually makes sense where DMs is a control deck. I also don't believe in 6 normal summons as you brick your hand more often. I would recommend IP Masque with eternal soul as a form of double disruption with circle. It adds so much versatility and gameplay to the deck design. I am also following a 1 navigation guide for this weekend at sneak locals, I don't believe 3 navigation is the way to go with all the filtering in the deck. You would probably only is the grave effect once as well.
LordTrent isn't this just the same link as the current video? My statement is still the same as you are still using 3 navigation and the 6 normal summons.
@@MysentialDelfyre Sams advertises his builds as the best but that's not always true. I wouldnt go stritctly off all of them. Theres usually room for improvement. If you look at his Blue Eyes deck profiles and compare them to a more competitive player like Allen Nails, they're different.
Eye of timaeus desperately needs an errata. "Dark magician monster" can easily be changed to "dark magician or dark magician girl" and it becomes infinitely better
I play a simular build and play Imduk which I use to summon into Dragon Knight. Eye of Timaus I found is a huge brick and when you need it you can't search it which sucks

If you can’t afford magicians souls there are other alternatives. You can play for example 3x secret village of the spellcasters 3x ash blossom 3x effect veiler 3x drowning mirror force 3x storming mirror force 3x solemn strike 1x kycoo the ghost destroy 2x chocolate magician girl.. I’ve used a variety of these cards in my DM deck and all have worked well as budget alternatives. Hope this helps.

Realistically speaking, that probably won't come up enough to justify playing more bricks. There are plenty of ways to get rid of The Dark Magicians without destroying it.

There's not really an alternative to souls that's why it's so expensive. My advise would be play a 1-1-1 line of blue boy engine if your not already. I personaly play 1 Oracle Mana and 1 foolish burial 1 DMG to get mana in the GY for the extra draws off soul servant and the effect that protects DM. Not a great substitution but it works for now until I can get a playset of souls

You might want to start purchasing the more expensive cards first. Because Dark Magician as a whole is incredibly cheap. Dark Magical Circle and Eternal Soul are the cheapest they have been. Buying the more expensive cards first takes out the hurdle of scavenging for more money when you want to complete the deck.

You buy the cheap ones like magicians rod and during that time you always look for good opportunities to buy the expensive ones. If you start buying the expensive ones, you gonna see them a week later for like 10-20 dollars less and get made
I have the eye of timaeus as a side option, it's still unreliable and unsearchable. But it's a nice tech option when you're constantly drawing X amount of cards from Faithful Servant.

I don't know man magician of dark illusions and Muhad they're Pretty breky. A lot of players regret playing them. I saw team Samurai video that he talked with dark magician he said he regretted playing Dark Magician Girl you only played it to draw an extra card of servent. Also he said navigation is pretty bad so if you play it you should only even use one copy of it you almost never use the hand affect you just wanted in the graveyard for a negation so because this is a control deck you can dump it with foolish burial of goods and play metapos Fusion so you can draw a ditional cards when you have the Dark Magician Fusion on the field
Tried samurais current version of deck and I find it trash u cannot not play DMG Bond between and dark burning magic that’s ur win condition. Especially not playing a dark magic twin burst with 3 DMG in GY 1 boosts dm by 6k ayMd 1 dm Otis Resolve dark magic extended fleet board with dark burning magic and so many ways u can otk Setting or in hand the new ritual/fusion card attack then activate summon the dark magicians boom I, trying to find a way to sacrifice my own the dark magicians during my battle phase to bring back dmg and dmg to otk even more been trying magical dimension to summon something else trying enemy controller but if I clear his board can’t use it There’s 1828282828 dm support I feel no one down enough research and made that balance But the heart should be dm dmg bind between dark burning magic twin burst the fusion spell etc combos to otk Messing around with mine and i otk often problem is ensuring dark burning magic rescaled y I added dsrknmsgicnestended and plan to added witches strike so if he negates I can pop witch’s strike and destroy hand alao
@@TheHoboWithAShotgun yeah I made some changes to his it isn't very optimal but I would say dark burning magic is a win more card. Cards that require multiple cards to activate are usually a brick most of the time. That's why the Trap that negate stuff for Dark Magician isn't that good you're not always going to have dark magician and Dark Magician Girl. And that's why people usually don't play the ritual Dark Magician either it's too situational and requires too many resources.

I would recommend Imduk instead of Link Spider. Imduk is a Dragon, so u can fusion summon using him :)

alexander wei it summons a dark magician from hand, and spellcaster from deck. He means to use it for the spellcaster from deck summon
Activating Navigation also triggers Magician of Dark Illusion's ability to summon itself from your hand.

I guess he can use Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay as material, but using Imduk as suggested in another comment could also work.
