My first job was working in a restaurant owned by the exact type of greek guy stavi is talking about.
Owned several not greek restaurants, hired Mexicans to cook and young women to run the register, paid people under the table, etc etc. Checked all the boxes stavi is implying
There’s a small Greek deli and gyro place right by where I live and I have never seen a group of guys more obviously mobbed up than the owner and his friends lmao. They’re always wearing suits with big disco lapels, no tie, and a gold chain. Owner wears this huge gold pinkie ring and WAY too much hair gel, and just openly stares at anyone who walks in without saying anything. At any given time during business hours there’s 3-5 of these guys either standing around not even talking or anything, just standing in a clump near the counter, or sitting at the best table near the window, drinking espresso and eating plates of food that aren’t even on the menu lmao.
And it’s hilarious because the place is tiny; the entire restaurant is only 300-400 sq feet with an order counter and four small tables, and they’re ALWAYS THERE taking up space doing nothing, just hanging out in the middle of the lunch rush 😂
