Guys do you need any video ideas because I’ve been watching the storyteller videos for a while now and I haven’t seen anybody well let’s just say I don’t know how to fill up the water tanks so if you could do a video about that show on the ends and outs and the water filter hose that you use as well that would be just as well! Have other video ideas if you guys are interested as well! For example do a video showing how you cook dinner and explain to us what power systems you have to turn on and a half to cook your meal and what water pumps you have to turn on and off to wash and clean your dishes!

Congratulations on the new puppy and the new van. It would be great if you could go over more on why you decided to upgrade since you put so much effort into customizing the old one. I'd also like to hear more about puppy training in VanLife. Puppies are so much fun but also a lot of work to get them trained. I imagine there are unique challenges in such a small space with a puppy that hasn't been documented.

Hey guys! Have been absolutely binging your videos lately. It appears the upgrades for the new model year seem worth it -- but do you think the general jump from the Storyteller Mode Classic to the Stealth was worth it? I feel like I may be better off getting the Classic and then upgrading it a bit more specifically as I determine what my needs are. I'm fortunate enough to be in the position where I've got enough passive income to cover the payments of a Storyteller Mode, and I'm thinking about moving in full time to a van (I am absolutely sick of San Francisco Bay Area rent prices) while I finish grad school and look into doctorate programs.
That’s awesome! You can totally work and school from the road- and what an experience! We’ve loved it. I’d say go with what’s available first. You can totally upgrade the classic to whatever you want (many people in the Facebook group have done it). We were partial to the Stealth for the graphics package and the 27A output which you can only get on the stealth or beast mode.
Congratulation to the new Van and the little one….both are cute! Still waiting for my STO Stealth ,but I guess it will take up to the Summer. But I must say as long as STO takes their time to build it right ( after all that is one of the reasons for their success ) I ‚m willing to wait….Enjoy your Van and Live Style….love from Good Old Germany

Hey guys nice upgrade. A couple of thoughts... what happened to your workstation/extra storage units you had under the bed in the other unit? Does this unit have the air compressor? You didn't mention the air conditioner..is it quieter ? What's the MSRP for the 2022 ..how much $$$ difference between the 2021..
Hey there! We’re headed straight to owl vans and canyon adventure vans for some new mods. The stealth doesn’t have an air compressor but it can be added after market. I believe this uses the same quiet high efficiency a/c as the 2022 models. And check Storyteller Overland’s website for see through pricing. 🤙
Congrats on the the new van. I have been looking at different vans and just wondering what made you choose the sprinter over the transit since Storyteller uses both platforms now?
Both are great platforms and it really depends on what you want and how you want to use the van. Transit will feel zipper off the line, likely easier to get serviced, AWD. Sprinter has a little better clearance 4x4 high and low, a little more luxurious, diesel engine will last a long time, but typically longer wait times. You really can’t go wrong. We just prefer the sprinter platform.

Did you notice in the MODE LT if the aisle between the galley and groove lounge was wider? I’m trying to decide which model we put in for and a wider aisle would be a big deal.
I didn't notice a significant difference in width- the transit on the whole is an inch larger in each direction. We'll hopefully be seeing them side by side at the show in Tampa and can try to take some measurements for you.

Your pups are so sweet! Thanks for your reviews of the stealth from 2021 and the 2022. We are trying to buy a van but are 6' 4" tall and don't fit in most beds. Can the bed fit someone 6'4" laying flat. There are just no vans available to test.
Good question! Do you sleep like a pencil? Or curled up a bit? I'd check the facebook group and pose your question there, as there are some taller people I know that are in Storytellers.
You guys are a riot! Love your videos so much. And that van looks like the coolest! Does it have the feature like the Beast where it turns the AC (and engine too, right?) on automatically for the dogs if it gets too warm? Or did you have to option that?
Hey there! Thanks for watching!! It doesn't have a high idle feature like the beast does, but you can add that after market if you like. It will turn on the A/C or heat automatically depending on how you set the thermostat so our dogs can stay comfortable in the van.
Great new van. I was hoping you would get a Beast as you guys post a lot of content but it will be cool to see what mods you do to the Stealth. Not sold on the beard but the dance should be a mandatory part of every video going forward with a year end compilation of all the dances spliced together. That alone would be a fun video... Cool dog also..

Is that Carl or Karl? These things are important. :) We just got a new pup three weeks ago - a 6-year old Shih Tzu/terrier mix. I named her Olivia. Her face looks like a Shih but the fur is pure scruffy terrier. (The DNA swab kit is on my table - I’ll know shortly.) Very cute, very sweet, and very happy not to be in a high kill shelter anymore!
@@ChadandPaul Well, congrats on Carl! It’s always fun with mutts to see from whence they came. We had a mystery dog who looked like a border collie poured into a corgi body. DNA said he was half border collie, but the other was short Jack Russell, which explained the stubby legs and why he had a propensity to dig like he was possessed. Olivia doesn’t have quite a smooshed-in nose like a lot of the shih/peke dogs, so that’s where the terrier kicks in. I feel sorry for those dogs who can’t breathe properly. And it’s pretty amazing that you can do a DNA test for, I think we just paid $65 for the kit to do a test that ~20 years ago didn’t even exist!
My partner is a TV-lover and I'm trying to convince him we don't need a class C with theater seating and a big screen TV, in order to hit the road. But the TV in a class B, like the one in your awesome, new Storyteller, might convince him. If I may ask, how big is your TV? I'm thinking a 32" screen might be big enough to suit him but I now have a real-world example of how this might work with being stored in the bulkhead.

I forget what it’s called, but the climate button feature is the upgrade I like best. Now you have to redo all the mods! Maybe that is part of the fun. 🤔 My beard vote is shave it. No- just wait for our video with Canyon Adventure Vans. The setup is going to be sick. It looks minor at first glance, but they've really done some major improvements across the board. I mean LCD control panel that controls everything in the van? 27A output? I think that's pretty cool stuff, personally. But to each their own!
SOLD!! The 2022 Stealth has some really cool features that we wanted. We were originally planning on having one storyteller to live in and one to rent, but decided to sell and move into the new one. We love it!

any particular reason (apart from money) why you didnt go for the beast? I am asking because I have a beast on order but I could modify it and go for a stealth … and then have the flexibility to install all the mods that I like/need: rear spare, exp box, hammerhead bumper w/ winch (dont like the tenzing brush guard), storage modules, etc I really like the suspension + wheels/ tires that come with the beast and dont like those in the stealth, so I am wondering about the cost of that upgrade 🤔. The color (or lack of) of the stealth is awesome though. I could get a magnet amazon sticker and I would run in super stealth delivery mode 😀 I dont really need offroad lights, but the boost m-power extender seems good. any way to install that in the stealth or no really need for that? thanks another idea is going the custom route, but a bit concerned of the requirements or implications, as well as resale value
Money was the biggest factor- having the idle charge in the beast is amazing- would love to have it. There are ways to upfit the classic and stealth to beast level, and even high idle upfits, but the high idle won’t be as well integrated as with the beast. There are many classics and stealths that have been brought to beast level. We thought about going the custom route for a while, but didn’t think we’d be able to get close to the build quality and design of storyteller. Plus the community (and resale value) are insane!
The MODE LT built on the Ford is a great option too! Personally we love the MB chassis and it's off-road capabilities. The Ford AWD system is fantastic and definitely off-road capable, but we just prefer the MB personally.

We have already upgraded the suspension- van compass 4.3. We think it makes a big difference.

came with it originally, but removed it to put on owl vans gear which we knew we wanted when we ordered the stealth a long time ago.

Hey guys nice upgrade. A couple of thoughts... what happened to your workstation/extra storage units you had under the bed in the other unit? Does this unit have the air compressor? You didn't mention the air conditioner..is it quieter ? What's the MSRP for the 2022 ..how much $$$ difference between the 2021..
Hey there! We’re headed straight to owl vans and canyon adventure vans for some new mods. The stealth doesn’t have an air compressor but it can be added after market. I believe this uses the same quiet high efficiency a/c as the 2022 models. And check Storyteller Overland’s website for see through pricing. 🤙

came with it originally, but removed it to put on owl vans gear which we knew we wanted when we ordered the stealth a long time ago.

Congrats on the the new van. I have been looking at different vans and just wondering what made you choose the sprinter over the transit since Storyteller uses both platforms now?
Both are great platforms and it really depends on what you want and how you want to use the van. Transit will feel zipper off the line, likely easier to get serviced, AWD. Sprinter has a little better clearance 4x4 high and low, a little more luxurious, diesel engine will last a long time, but typically longer wait times. You really can’t go wrong. We just prefer the sprinter platform.

Congratulations and thanks for a preview to those of us waiting for our own vans to arrive (a SGM Stealth next spring)! Noticed that you don’t have the NVADER racks on the back. Is that an option to delete from the Stealth? Sounds like you prefer the Owl B2 and tire carriers as well…

Did you notice in the MODE LT if the aisle between the galley and groove lounge was wider? I’m trying to decide which model we put in for and a wider aisle would be a big deal.
I didn't notice a significant difference in width- the transit on the whole is an inch larger in each direction. We'll hopefully be seeing them side by side at the show in Tampa and can try to take some measurements for you.

Going to stay at a HH Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery. Have you been there? It looks super cool & an outdoor concert Saturday afternoon too. I’m sooo excited. Will wing foil my way back down the coast Sunday stopping at several beaches. So happy for you and your two new additions.

Your pups are so sweet! Thanks for your reviews of the stealth from 2021 and the 2022. We are trying to buy a van but are 6' 4" tall and don't fit in most beds. Can the bed fit someone 6'4" laying flat. There are just no vans available to test.
Good question! Do you sleep like a pencil? Or curled up a bit? I'd check the facebook group and pose your question there, as there are some taller people I know that are in Storytellers.

Does it have the feature like the Beast where it turns the AC (and engine too, right?) on automatically for the dogs if it gets too warm? Or did you have to option that?
Hey there! Thanks for watching!! It doesn't have a high idle feature like the beast does, but you can add that after market if you like. It will turn on the A/C or heat automatically depending on how you set the thermostat so our dogs can stay comfortable in the van.

Great new van. I was hoping you would get a Beast as you guys post a lot of content but it will be cool to see what mods you do to the Stealth. Not sold on the beard but the dance should be a mandatory part of every video going forward with a year end compilation of all the dances spliced together. That alone would be a fun video... Is that Carl or Karl? These things are important. :) We just got a new pup three weeks ago - a 6-year old Shih Tzu/terrier mix. I named her Olivia. Her face looks like a Shih but the fur is pure scruffy terrier. (The DNA swab kit is on my table - I’ll know shortly.) Very cute, very sweet, and very happy not to be in a high kill shelter anymore!
Aww sounds like a sweetie! His name is Carl with a c hehe. We’ve been meaning to get him a DNA test too- curious what kind of breeds are in there.
@@ChadandPaul Well, congrats on Carl! It’s always fun with mutts to see from whence they came. We had a mystery dog who looked like a border collie poured into a corgi body. DNA said he was half border collie, but the other was short Jack Russell, which explained the stubby legs and why he had a propensity to dig like he was possessed. Olivia doesn’t have quite a smooshed-in nose like a lot of the shih/peke dogs, so that’s where the terrier kicks in. I feel sorry for those dogs who can’t breathe properly. And it’s pretty amazing that you can do a DNA test for, I think we just paid $65 for the kit to do a test that ~20 years ago didn’t even exist!

My partner is a TV-lover and I'm trying to convince him we don't need a class C with theater seating and a big screen TV, in order to hit the road. But the TV in a class B, like the one in your awesome, new Storyteller, might convince him. If I may ask, how big is your TV? I'm thinking a 32" screen might be big enough to suit him but I now have a real-world example of how this might work with being stored in the bulkhead.

No- just wait for our video with Canyon Adventure Vans. The setup is going to be sick. It looks minor at first glance, but they've really done some major improvements across the board. I mean LCD control panel that controls everything in the van? 27A output? I think that's pretty cool stuff, personally. But to each their own!

SOLD!! The 2022 Stealth has some really cool features that we wanted. We were originally planning on having one storyteller to live in and one to rent, but decided to sell and move into the new one. We love it!

any particular reason (apart from money) why you didnt go for the beast?
I am asking because I have a beast on order but I could modify it and go for a stealth … and then have the flexibility to install all the mods that I like/need: rear spare, exp box, hammerhead bumper w/ winch (dont like the tenzing brush guard), storage modules, etc
I really like the suspension + wheels/ tires that come with the beast and dont like those in the stealth, so I am wondering about the cost of that upgrade 🤔. The color (or lack of) of the stealth is awesome though. I could get a magnet amazon sticker and I would run in super stealth delivery mode 😀
I dont really need offroad lights, but the boost m-power extender seems good. any way to install that in the stealth or no really need for that?

Money was the biggest factor- having the idle charge in the beast is amazing- would love to have it. There are ways to upfit the classic and stealth to beast level, and even high idle upfits, but the high idle won’t be as well integrated as with the beast. There are many classics and stealths that have been brought to beast level. We thought about going the custom route for a while, but didn’t think we’d be able to get close to the build quality and design of storyteller. Plus the community (and resale value) are insane!

The MODE LT built on the Ford is a great option too! Personally we love the MB chassis and it's off-road capabilities. The Ford AWD system is fantastic and definitely off-road capable, but we just prefer the MB personally.
