Her honesty is admirable. When she said she used to pray to be beautiful, it is something that can sound pretty shallow and it is super personal- but it is something a lot of us I am sure pray in a whisper, for only us and God to hear. I have prayed countless times to be pretty since I was literally 10 years old. Reading her say she did the same was super surprising and hit me hard, because it says a lot about what it is to be born a girl in this world.
Thank you for doing this interview, it was a real eye opener for me. She's seems so much more humble and personable than her model persona allows. BTW, Marilyn by Norman Mailer is such a fantastic book, and I just noticed it on the top of the stack of books under the table. Have a wonderful day Drew Crew!
Our culture sets impossible standards of beauty. It's interesting Emily talks about the beauty industry but also still works in the industry that imposes these impossible standards.
She has a great deal of credibility because she’s actually a current successful supermodel and saying these things. Her words do hold some weight and people will listen.
exactly. and when asked this question she only skates around it. this book is just another way to profit off of it. emily is a great example of a capitalist feminist.
Howard Stern a great guy?!?! He used to have a segment on his show called "Dummer than a box of rocks" where he would have stippers over to humiliate them.
We all have our "Karma." As little girls we either get strong conscious messages or subtle unconscious messages. I can remember being 12 and 13, hitting puberty, and suddenly feeling very chubby and "ugly." I certainly did not have Emily's experience, but this is her experience, and I find her to be intelligent and aware. She can help a lot of young women with her writing.
You’re not understanding what she’s saying . She’s criticizing society . At a young age she internalized the fact that the world only cares about how a woman looks ; and nothing else . Shes talking about it with remorse and disappointment

"because it says a lot about what it is to be born a girl in this world." absolutely love this line

This was one of the better talk show interviews with Emily!
Drew did a great job here .Emily came across really well too

Well if she were to just leave that space there would be no one with a different mindset in it
@@MrChachi1214 her "different mindset" changes nothing. She is still profiting 100% off her beauty.

she is really smart!
I would love to read it and will look forward to it for sure 🌼💫
I love you Emily ratajkowski
Beautiful and smart
I’m glad that you guys chose not to use the Robin story as clickbait in the title
Wow!! I didn't know she has her own show!?!? Drew Barrymore has her own show!! 😀 I didn't know that!
the fact that she's the daughter of teachers and not a nepotism baby , gagged me a bit
I'm curious what exactly her prayer is? I've been praying the same thing for a long time

bro what?
wanted to see chemistry between drew and emily, fairly ordinary
Beautiful 😍 girls
**Happy*Birthday to Brittany Murphy!!** R.I.P!
I prayed desperately for beauty. Unfortunately, God did the opposite for me. 😔
drew so when u inviting SZA?
Beaut x
6:01 i just love you
Maybe there is a God after all.
how is she talking about feminism yet going on the extremely misogynistic howard stern's show and praising him afterwards....
but he got better though...
As Drew mentioned he’s done a lot of therapy, not sure I’ll ever forgive him for Trump, though
Rich pretty people problems
Jealous person comment
TRUEE
True, she’s pretty, rich and intelligent. Got a problem with that?
troll ugly people
This show is always like a bad acid nightmare
Emily is like watching a child trying to appear grown-up.
😷 👏🏽
Im sorry but what the hell is this? Trying to intellectualize shallowness?
Like your comment is shallow? 🤔🤔

Yeah like what is this book supposed to be about? And why is she talking about such shallow things
