  • (Abridged) Meet the perfect child: Everyone who meets V.J. Frank are awed by the 3-year old's keen intelligence and flawless appearance. What everyone doesn't know was that V.J. Frank was designed that way ----created by his research scientist father, Victor Frank, in a laboratory and borne by a surrogate mother. Now, Dr. Frank is on the verge of dazzling professional and personal success. He has manipulated the genetic make-up of other children like V.J. and soon the whole world will discover his remarkable breakthrough. But suddenly Dr. Victor Frank's brilliant work starts spinning out of control... From the laboratory to the secrets of science to the horror of an experiment gone awry, Robin Cook unleashes a new storm of medical terror---as frightening as tomorrow's news. . .

The majority of these audiobooks, which were converted from audio cassette tapes into digital Mp3 files are over 30 years old. Some of the cassette tapes had to be taken apart and spliced back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do so I could salvage these particular works and share these with others before the tapes and tape players deteriorated completely and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not true books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, unabridged books on tape were either very rare or extremely costly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.

Robin Cooks work is absolutely fantastic. It’s incredibly interesting and informative, and so incredibly well written that it just flows into your ears effortlessly and you become immersed in the story completely and utterly! Not leaving it for a moment till the very last word!

Thank you very much for the upload! I never read Robin Cook, and I don't know how I somehow overlooked his books being Stephen king and John Saul are some of my favorite authors. This was really good and having Kelsey Grammer narrate this made it even better! Your hard work is very appreciated! Now I have to check out some of Cook's other books.

Although I appreciate the free content, this is about 11 hours short.

The uploader did say that the tapes had to be taken apart and spliced, which, if you don't know, is a method of repairing cassette tapes, it can result in losses. The fact that the uploader went to these lengths in order to save these books, is wonderful and is obviously above your level of intellect. I don't mean to be so harsh but feel your comment needs addressing because you seem unable to understand how intricate this process is and exactly how time consuming it is. It's not just a run of the mill upload but a complicated work that saved as much of these books as was possible, he obviously had to put a great deal of thought into continuity as well. If you can't just thank the uploader for all the work he so obviously put into this, keep your petty karenisms to yourself.
