- (Abridged) Listen to the Silence. . . An instant classic novel of chilling psychological suspense. . . a critically-acclaimed audio production of unforgettable intensity. . . From the tormenting words of the homicidal maniac Dr. Hannibal Lecter and the flesh-rending depravity of an elusive killer to the sheer courage of a young F.B.I. novice, who risks her life to track him down and stop the bloodshed, experience the ultimate terror of an audio masterpiece.
The majority of these audiobooks, which were converted from audio cassette tapes into digital Mp3 files are over 30 years old. Some of the cassette tapes had to be taken apart and spliced back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do so I could salvage these particular works and share these with others before the tapes and tape players deteriorated completely and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not true books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, unabridged books on tape were either very rare or extremely costly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit. - Развлечения
Kathy Bates is an absolute GIFT, to narration.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes!!!! She is amazing! Her voice characters make an audiobook beautifully visual!
Listen to desperation by King she nails it
Ive loved her since misery and especially Delores Claiborne.Very good actor/actress.
One of my favorite books narrarated by one of my favorite actresses. Yes, yes, yes! I love it. Fantastically written and read! Listening to this made my day! This video is a GEM. I hope it remains up for others to enjoy.
Keep listening as it is outstanding vocally and the writing is such a classic. What a gem to have Kathy Bates & Thomas Harris. I always notice the first-class audiobooks get taken down quickly so listening until
Out of this world narration. I’ve listened to the full Audible version a few times and yet there were passages here I did not remember at all. Oh Kathy, a full version from you would be a wonderful gift to the world of audiobooks.
Thanks for the upload!!
The narration from Kathy Bates really brought this book to life in my mind (albeit disturbing but vivid--I respect that)
This book is one of my favourite books, movies and now audiobook! Its the only book I've read more than once.
Thank you for the opportunity to listen to it..wonderful narrator 🎉
Absolutely loved it. Brilliant stuff.
Omg Kathy Bates!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Incredibly well crafted Kathy Bates is great at creating the characterisation of the dialogue, creating a realistic variation from Starling to Hannibal
Impressive narration. Kathy is a master of interpretation.
Thank you algorithim!!
This is good! It highlights how GREAT the film is.
Interesting that in the film, we see no more of Lecter after the Memphis escape, until the very end.
Wow
Nice one Dennis 🤙
Thank you for posting this.
Great story and film too 🎥
Interview with the victims best friend, Kathy Bates nailed the gum chewing vacant best friend.
Kate Bates in a.h.s to misery she is top actress
I’m here for Kathy Bates. Wonderful American voice. For a uniquely American story…
this book is gripping and tbh amazing and i love every part of it
True and this is despite it being abridged.
Well detailed abridgement :-)
Catherine is my kind of woman 😊
I would be intrigued if Silence of the Lambs was adapted into a radio drama
Thank goodness for this in full in English , looking for all of the other audiobooks on Dr lecture ( Hannibal ) if anyone has uploaded thanks 🙏
What a great listen thank you❤
Thank you Kathy! You made my morning.
Thank You For Sharing.
Thank you very much ❤
Thank you very much 😊
All I can think of is Delores Clairborne.
Dolores was my first audio book and I still consider it the best due to the reader. I don’t recall her name but she played the part of Cliff’s mother on Cheers.
Hello... very enticing.
Great book 📖
Every time she says “School” or talks in a southern accent she sounds just like her character in The Waterboy
I like her Hannibal.
Still gives me the chills🥺
Please do Hannibal
Decent reading but the text is seriously abridged - tons of atmospheric description tossed out, including Harris' chilling description of Hannibal. Really poor.
Damn. I hoped this was being read word-for-word. I am reading the book now for the fifth time, so it would annoy me to have ANY word missed out.
@@BobCob-ug3el Afraid so. It's all focused on the dialogue. More like a radio play than an audio book - Anthony Hopkins has a reading on here, 6 hours long, really special.
@@BobCob-ug3el there is a unabridged version read by the Oscar winning actor Anthony Hopkins
@@EM-lz9kgit's fake. It's an A.I. generated Hopkins voice.
@@jrambo7495 yes I sadly discovered :(
Better at 0.75 speed.
This sounds like AI
Nope
A much younger Kathy Bates
You sound like an ignorant Okie from Miscogie....try tuning your brain.

She reads so fast it is almost like a mumble =(
Sound is bad😢
Is this AI narration? It's not good
1988, no AI yet

Horrible reading
