The problem with at lot of peoples is that they want to produce power with turbo by it self they need to add a inter cooler to bring down the hot temperatures that will allow more air in to the intake because hot air requires more room
Hello Frank In all honesty, the gains were minimal. I would estimate 5-8 hp. I think much of that came from the larger diameter exhaust. We tried adjusting the altitude fuel compensation, but still very little. EGT's went down, which is to be expected as we were pumping extra air into the combustion chamber. The big problem is, there is no real way to properly correct the fuel and timing once you put a turbo charger on these engines. Unless you correct with the proper amount of fuel and timing gains will be extremely minimal.
Hello Esteban Unfortunately, we didn’t have the vehicle long enough to check the fuel economy before we had to give it back to the customer. I don’t think that the turbo made any change in the fuel efficiency. I would guess it was around 17 miles per U.S. gallon.
Hello Wally Big wheels I believe it was a Garret T2. Turbo size seemed sufficient, but we haven't heard of anyway to properly correct the fuel and timing for these engines.

Hello there how did you change it to miles per hour the speedometer
Nice guy
Can you tell me what kind of Hp gain after the turbo.
Hello Frank

The 3b is 90 hp and the 13bt is 130 hp
How is/was your fuel consumption?
Hello Esteban
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the vehicle long enough to check the fuel economy before we had to give it back to the customer.

@@toyworksautocrafters3072 thank you
I get 19-21mpg in mine on 33s
What turbo are installing in it?
Hello Wally Big wheels
I believe it was a Garret T2.
Turbo size seemed sufficient, but we haven't heard of anyway to properly correct the fuel and timing for these engines.
Hey Wally Big wheels.
It was a kit that the owner brought to us. I believe the turbo was a Garret T3.
Algo raro.. a 100km/h en 5ta los toyotas de los 90 rondaban 2500 a 2850rpm
Ok, in my tlc 13km/h , no turbo
130km/h , and now turbo and regear diff 165km/h
jesus christ. a 3.4L diesel engine that's only giving around 70-90hp.
it makes 98 hp not 60
If you had an egt you likely wouldn’t be driving it like that.
Sorry but we’ve dyno’d 5 of them and our average was 60hp at the flywheel.
We’re going with factual results over internet and conjecture.
@@toyworksautocrafters3072 Amazing, I was searching the internet for this, and found it here! The actual hp of a 3b. Thanks for sharing.
