- Since today would have been the home opener for the St. Louis Cardinals I thought it would be fun to play a few Ballpark favorites followed by an hour of the greatest opening day tradition of them all, “Here Comes the King” for an hour straight! Enjoy an ice cold frosty Budweiser and dream of the Clydesdales circling Busch Stadium prior to first pitch!
Thank you for this
Sounds just like the late great Ernie Hayes. Keep up the good work, Jeremy.
Great job Jeremy for all of that work you have done for people to see what you do ❤
Here comes the king always gives me goosebumps. Love it!
Same here. Ever since I was a kid. So merry!
This made my evening! Thanks Jeremy Boyer!!! I'd love to hear the chords he'd play after a base hit?
Here ya go, if you have twitter, give me a follow over there! twitter.com/jabsmusic/status/1247356814586503168?s=21
It is great that a young person wants to keep the craft alive. Theater stadium organist is a skill that could have died a long time ago but the greedy owners finally figured out that the fans actually like the organist and expect to hear it at the park or arena and are willing to pay a live person to play. If they were smart they would move the organ down to fan level so the fans can interact with the organist. It worked at the old Boston Garden. The college kids loved it. They would put request in for Ron Harry to play. I think keeping the organist hidden away is a missed opportunity for more fan inaction.
GO CARDINALS!
⚜⚾️The best organist in St. Louis⚾️⚜
How did your fingers not fall off?
Growing up a Reds fan this is still one of the greatest traditions in all of MLB
Great (and Swell!) organ playing!!!
Where can I get a copy of the printed music for "Here Comes The King"?
Thanks!
The King of Beers 🍺. A Cardinals fan ⚾️👍🏾
I miss blues hockey soooooo much and hearing you play at blues hockey games they wouldn’t be the same without the great music you play sir:)
Thanks, James!
Love this! I grew up a Southern Illinois (Madison County) fan of St. Louis sports teams. As an organist, I had friends who knew Ernie Hays, and I was able to watch a hockey game at the old St. Louis Arena from the organ booth. Had a chance in college to play the organ for our basketball team, and tried to "copy" Ernie's style. Though I live in Phoenix, AZ now and follow our local teams, you guys do sports organ in St. Louis right!! Love your playing for the Blues!
Dale Niehaus Thank you, Dale
Thanks Jeremy for keeping it real during Covid-19. Can you repeat this again wearing either a "Yadi" or "Goldy" jersey since Wong is a Brewer now? 👊🍻⚾️ Go Cards!!
My number for sports in High School was 16, I thought about just getting a new nameplate for this and putting Boyer on it.
Lol, lucky #16. I'm heading to tonight's game in MLK.
That was great!
Yaaaasssss!!!!
Love it bro
I remember this back in the 1970's. That first song you played after the National Anthem. Today is February 8th 2022. It's a matter of time before this snow is outta here and its PLAY BALL time again
What? No "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" for the 7th inning?
This is the organ that was in the 1st Busch Stadium?
It's the same model that was in Busch Stadium II.
@@JABsMusic Was? They've replaced the one that originally went into the 2nd Busch Stadium? (The one that stands now?)
Or do you mean when you played it @ Busch II?
Dhumma Vati We are currently on what is referred to as “Busch 3”
Hey Jeremy. Have you ever played or owned an Italian Farfisa organ?
Dhumma Vati I have not that I can remember.
@JABsMusic thank you Jeremy so much Jeremy for that
It would be nice to know the names of the tunes that we might not know. Like the 2nd one. Tks.
Dhumma Vati The second was “Game Time” by Ernie Hays, one of my predecessors at Cardinals and Blues.
@@JABsMusic Game Time brings me back to Cards games in mid summer back in the 90s and early 2000s as a kid from St. Louis. God, hearing you play after Ernie's passing brought so much joy to the city and fans. Ernie would be proud that you are his protoge, following in his footsteps as an organist legend for our beloved Redbirds and our Blues
Frederick Glass Thank you, that means a lot to me.
@@frederickglass1583 Oh ya. You betcha! Game Time is often what I heard when we first got to the ballpark when I was a kid in the '60s & '70s. I can almost smell the popcorn & hear the 🍻 barkers when I hear Game time.
24:00 OK, you can ease up on "Here Comes the King" now. (Much as I like it.)
said in the description he was gonna play it for an hour
