A fly is on my book...In that example you told that A is used as it is not referring to the class of animals and referring to one particular fly..but in the starting u told that THE is used to refer particular one.for eg I ate an apple which my mom gave me...so why shouldn't we use The in the former sentence mam...can u pls explain.....
