    I love your videos. My grandparents had a house in Deba, the place is packed with memories for me, mostly from the 60s and 70s.

    POEM :CAMINANTE NO HAY CAMINO | Antonio Machado
    Caminante, son tus huellas
    el camino y nada más;
    Caminante, no hay camino,
    se hace camino al andar.
    Al andar se hace el camino,
    y al volver la vista atrás
    se ve la senda que nunca
    se ha de volver a pisar.
    Caminante no hay camino
    sino estelas en la mar.

      Nos encantan todos los pueblitos que hemos descubierto aquí en el norte de España, y la variedad de pinchos y cañas, la arquitectura maravillosa y la gente amable.

    Thumbs up for all your videos! Thank you for taking a Hungarian with you on your hike. First I thought you were Irish - because of your accent (I used to teach English). Wishing you all the best!!!!

      Thanks for watching Marta - we're having a blast in Spain. We were in Ireland last year and I picked up a lot of words and phrases from there - so sometimes I even confuse myself :)

    That was a nice hotel. I would think staying in albergues and sleeping in bunk beds would get old after awhile

      Agreed. After like five of them - we were over it. Unless they were starred our special, we found staying in hotels and B&Bs a much better (and not much more expensive option).

    Nice video! By the way, you guys are in the midst of the Sagardotegiak, that is, the official Sider Route in the Basque Country. So each village has its own "sidrería" (sider cellar) and there you can have a fantastic sidrería-menu which typically consists of salad, tortilla de bacalao (cod fish omelet), and txuletón (t-bone meat), all gently served with as much sider you can drink 😉🥩🥃

      OMG! That's awesome... We're in Asturias now and have discovered cider and sidreria heaven. Those vids are coming soon. I have never in my life tasted anything as wonderful as Spanish cider. Mindblowing.

      @@geezerandblonde Whaaaat, you’re already in Asturias!? 😁 Damn, you are fast! Yes, Spanish cider is excellent, it has the same alcohol as beer but it’s fresher and somehow one can drink much more without getting full. Buen Camino!

      @neiss2 Год назад

      @@geezerandblonde So, this is what I meant with the Cider route in the Basque Country. From January to May, all the local cider houses in the region offer this cider-tasting menu with as much cider as you can drink, directly from the cider barrel 😉
