If I add a button to a global object (navigation bar) why doesn't my global object on different displays update? instead I feel like I've always had to delete the old global object from a display and drag in the updated one. Is there a refresh global objects command I'm missing?
Yes, it depends on the FTview Studio ME version. In most cases you need to delete the old then add the new edited version in it's place. In FTview Studio SE, it doesn't have to be
@@ShaneWelcher Ah, yeah I use ME for 99% of my applications. Sure would be nice if the global object I created updated across displays, otherwise it's no different than just making a display as a "template" that you have to copy from and paste to your active displays lol! I just started doing your Allen Bradley Course on Udemy, so far so good. However, I’m wondering if you will be doing any tutorial videos on PlantPax or even a Udemy Course? There isn’t any there on Udemy. And what videos there are on RUclips for PlantPax they aren’t that good or easy to follow in understand or with Process Objects Library 4.0+ in how to properly use.

Shane, When you made the Global Object For the Main Screen Header, have you considered using parameter passing so that way the title gets automatically filled out with whatever the screen name will be. Use #1 in place of "Main Screen" then you can pass the screen name with a "call for screen" parameter or a parameter list. See ruclips.net/video/h2kCEXC_Lyk/видео.html for reference.
Using the same concept, could we use a parameterized global object to show multiple instances of the same object on the same screen. For example, make a single fan global object and put multiple instances on the same screen and pass it different tags for each fan?
@@ShaneWelcher This is my daily discovery at present as I am trying to transfer a clients systems from SE to ME whilst retaining their current functionality. "Tricky!" describes each step of the way :chuckles:

Yes, if you edit a global object in Machine Edition then it requires a change of all the screens that use the global object. This is still a good feature to use on an ME station though because editing is only done while building. Site Edition is edit the refresh

What version of FactoryTalk are you running?
Sorry for the late response, it just popped up on RUclips
Can I make a whole display screen as a global object (like having 10 conveyors whose data is controlled by a UDT and almost similar display)?
Yes but it would only be worth the effort if there are a lot of conveyor controls.
Might be best to make a pop-up for each conveyor

I normally use FTview SE which I always pass parameters
