  • @RialVestro

Genesect isn't really a mystery. It's Pok'edex entry literally tells you that the only thing they really changed on this Pok'emon was adding the cannon to it's back which would not have been there on the original Pok'emon. So a natural Genesect would just be the same one we see but without the cannon. It should also be noted that the Drives which can change Genesect's type to Fire, Ice, Water, or Electric would not be a thing you could use on the original version of this Pok'emon since the drives connect into it's cannon that aren't a natural part of the Pok'emon to begin with.
Anyway... I thought this video was going to talk about forms that don't exist in the games but do exist in other media. Like Mewtwo's Armored form which has still never been seen in any Pok'emon game and Genesect's high speed form which was exclusive to the Anime. There's also that Crystal Onyx that was in the Anime and appeared to have a different type than regular Onyx and is technically the first regional variant Pok'emon LONG before Regional variants were introduced. I'm surprised they didn't set that first game in the Orange Islands and make Crystal Onyx an official regional variant. They did put the game on a group of islands and seemed to take a lot of inspiration from the Orange Islands in the Anime but at the same time it's almost like the game developers forgot the Orange Islands existed.

    • @matheussandbakk9959
      @matheussandbakk9959 Год назад +2

Well a few things, the Orange Archipelago was made by the anime, the game developers had no direct involvement so they technically have nothing to forget. Even then they probably did remember, as the Sevii Islands, I'm pretty sure were confirmed to take a lot of inspiration from the Orange Archipelago
Secondly, while it's confirmed they pretty much just added the canon to Genesect, it can probably still be assumed that the armor was also added as well as some other attributes because the way Genesect flies, personally doesn't look to be just from the canon
Lastly, the video is about forms never actually shown in any media (For the most part at least, with for example Paras without the mushroom), but are still heavily implied to exist from lore pieces
Technically Qwilfish is one the first forms to have been implied and then later revealed. As the library in Sinnoh implied ancient forms had bigger spikes, later revealed in Legends: Arceus with Hisuian Qwilfish and Overqwil as that ancient form

Yet never in the games or even the anime (to my knowledge) have we been shown this baby form or a vulpix with fewer than 6 tails. It's strange as there have many opportunities to show a single tailed vulpix in both the anime and games as this fact was first mentioned in Gen 1 and Gen 2 introduced us to baby Pokemon. Also in the anime Brock was given a vulpix in episode 28 and had it with him until episode 169. We've even gotten a regional variant with an Alolan form yet still no single tail vulpix. O_o

I actually didn't even know about the newborn vulpix in Sun and Moon (didn't watch the anime), but that makes it even worse because in the Sun version the Kanto form's Pokedex states, "Its beautiful fur and tails have made it very popular. Actually, from what I recall, Burmy IS just a pure bug-type, no matter its cloak, it's only Wormadam, which, as mentioned by another comment, makes the cloak a part of its body, that changes type depending on which form of cloak it is.
I also vividly remember Forretress as a case of this due to it being mentioned in PMDs "Seven wonders of the Pokemon World". btw, same should of course also apply for Pineco.
One of my personal headcanons for Cubone is that their original species/their look under the mask doesn't matter, and that most of any Pokemon-species could become a Cubone if they lost their mother and decide to wear their skull, it's more of a group of Pokemon-orphans than an actual species... is one of the interpretations I came up with over the years. Obviously, this doesn't actually check out with the Cubones we catch in the game, although this would open up the possibility of "Cubones" of other species, like, a more bird-like Cubone, a quadruped Cubone, something along those lines.
Another example I generally like to bring up is Makuhita, where its Sun Pokedex-entry feels like it's implying that the Makuhita we know is its Alolan form.

That's NOT a Theory, Wynaut and Wobbuffet's ENTIRE GIMMICK is that the blue body is a punching bag, even inflated up. The real Pokémon in the black "tail", hell, Lockstin made a theory that the tail is an "evolution" of the Unown.
Since Wynaut, Wobbuffet, and Unown all love to group together and huddle closely in caves, it would naturally make sense that the Unown, when crossing into the Pokémon World from between the Realms being forced to take shelter and toughen up, Evolved decoy bodies to take hits as Wynaut. (*This is why Wynaut's 'tail' has only one eye.)
After becoming a stronger Pokémon and unlocking a defensive ability-set, the Unown//Wynaut can Evolve again to actually protect themselves AND other Unown, etc. as Wobbuffet.

      [Sapphire]:
*Wobbuffet does nothing but endure attacks - it won't attack on its own. However, it won't endure an attack on its tail. When that happens, the Pokémon will try to take the foe with it using Destiny Bond.*
      [Emerald]:
*Usually docile, a Wobbuffet strikes back ferociously if its black tail is attacked. It makes its lair in caves where it waits for nightfall.*
      [Diamond/Pearl/Platinum]:
*It desperately tries to keep its black tail hidden. It is said to be proof the tail hides a secret.*
      [Gold]:

At least one Pokedex entry implies that the cannon was the ONLY addition that Team Plasma made to it, and you do have to consider that Bug/Steel-types do exist in nature (if anything, Bug-types are the perfect case for having natural robot-like creatures, between their exoskeletons and one species of insect even being discovered to have a mechanical gear). Personally, I always saw Genesect as being a reference to the theory that technologically-advanced aliens visited the earth as far back as prehistoric times, so minus the cannon, it's pretty much the same Pokemon now as the one that existed back then.

Wynaut and Wobbufet don't belong here, even if that theory is true (and it kind of is confirmed by the Pokedex). That is their full form. The blue part isn't some random, unrelated item it hides behind or within, it is a full part of the Pokemon. We can see when looking from side and back views that it is connected. The theory is just that the tail is the main part of the body. A limb that distracts foes by looking like a full Pokemon and acts as a shield or punching bag to protect the rest of the body.
Also, I love how many of these are Pokemon with a shell of some kind, and you just assume it can exist without the shell. But you don't include the Squirtle line. And if anyone tries arguing that the shell is part of its body and it would die without it, that is literally stated to be the case for a Paras and Parasect without their mushrooms but that's listed here, and its almost certainly the case for Forretress, but its here as well. Why list Pokemon with shells of some kind, ones that quite possibly might be "removing the shell would kill it", and not others?

11:56 the art is impossible because if digglet uses copycat and copies fly it uses the move with a small piece of earth under it

Kinda surprised you didn't bring up Xerneus and Yveltal. It's more noticable with Xerneus, but both have a "neutral" form that can ONLY ever be seen in the Status screen and I think Pokemon-amie.
This form has its horns a pale shade of blue, where as in battle it becomes its Active form which has golden horns with rainbow tips.

For Cubone, there has been a licensed Cubone plushie that has a removable skull. I suppose you could assume that it shows the true face of Cubone without it's mother's skull in it's head.

Oh, I thought Wynaut and Wobuffet's tails were their shadows. Also the Shadow Tag ability. 🤔

Pokémon shirt just came up with a advertisement about their eco friendly shirt where you can see digglet is crawling around, it crawls across the shirt that implies its body is over the shirt means it's has legs and its very stubby

Watching it, I believe it's showing the digletts crawling through the shirt, as in the shirt breaks down for them in the same way the soil around them gets broken up as they dig forward

    16:05 cmon it’s clearly a Kabutops
Kabutops is based on a horseshoe crab which isn’t an actual crab and is an arachnid and spiders and scorpions which are other arachnids have been bug type (with the exception of drapion but it’s just to make room for it’s dark type) so it was probably just a more accurate Kabutops but game freak had to change it to make genesect more unique

My headcanon reason for why you can't assemble the Galar fossils correctly is that their other halves don't exist anymore. They didn't survive the millions of years of fossilization they had to have undergone so the halves that we know and can reassemble today are all that's left. Fossils in the real world are most often never found as full skeletons, far from it. You'd be lucky enough to find even a fully preserved leg or something. That would honestly be surprisingly realistic for Pokémon and I'd like to see a pokédex entry sometime in the future confirm this.

I think in proffessor laventons entry for parasect he's implying that he found the "unmoving" dead husky left behind after the mushroom leaves
