Making simple buckles for armour

  • Making simple armour buckles, out of 4mm mild steel wire and 2,2mm x 50mm nails. Using nails for their work hardened resilience for further bending , compared to a mild steel wire of the same thickness. This particular buckles are inspired by the style of late xv century Italian armour buckles, and will be used on a pair of leg harness that I’m currently working on. Making the greaves and poleyns can be seen on some previous videos.

    Your skills in editing are becoming... I don't even find the right word. Cool+++++ :) BTW: is that polishing machine this 7hp beast I once saw floating around in the ULA-Group?

      Thank you :) Although I’m gonna have to invest in some more professional editing software, because it takes way too much time with what I’ve got. The polisher looks like a beast , but it has a rabbits’ heart- the motor needs replacing for a much stronger one.
