- This part of my trip to Chandel district interior areas is dedicated to one Dr Okram Arjun, the Medical Officer of Sajik Tampak, under Chakpikarong sub-division in Chandel district. It was heartening to see a doctor posted in a far flung place staying dedicatedly in his place of posting without any complaint. Because of his presence, the Primary health centre in Sajik Tampak is doing well. The people also like him and describes him as a good man. May his tribe increase.

@@claykhongsai To be honest, we the local people doesn't need much the Manipur Police in our area being a tribal. However, on the other hand it's in dire need to deploy MP to protect and safeguard the local people from many gundas, Gang, miscreants and so on. Moreover, until and unless we deploy MP in this area, poppy cultivation too will just go on normally like the bygone years.

The people in chahkap they are very generous and honest people they earn their living in a good and honest way they fear the Lord Almighty while their neighbour villages earn living by poppy plantation etc.
So i think that is also one reason why they propose an outpost
