Lucky enough to be there too today. I cried throughout. I have to say highlights were Romany’s vocals on Between Two Points and the utterly amazing reworking of The Great Gig in the Sky.
Indeed, the makeover with the four ladies was top. We drove 600 km from Belgium to Brighton. Can't wait to see them again in London at The Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 9.10. Greetings Dirk Belgium
Pure magic! What a rode for me since ‘72. There are no words for this absolute musical genius and his wife, daughter’s newest addition and the greatest attention to perfection. My life has been filled with a happiness that only is grander each day.
Ever since seeing Pink Floyd at the Ranbow, London, in 1973, I've been a lifelong fan, and they have been a prt of my very fabric of my Life. Good as the Aussie Pink Floyd are, nothing comes close to seeing THE MAN himself. Will be there with my wife at The Albert Hall on Oct 10th. I cannot wait!!
Are you going election night? Apparently DG & Co. were, shall we say, not cognizant of the relevance of Nov. 5 stateside. Not to be confused with Bonfire Night in the U.K. aka ‘remember the 5th of November…’ etc.
So I was at Pulse at Earls Court aged 12 and exactly 30 years later at age 42 I managed to get 1 ticket (a cancelled one) from the Box Office. This is a huge deal for me and I have been going over all the old material having just updated my Blue Rays to the remastered versions of Pulse and Delicate Sound of Thunder. Since securing my solo ticket I hav been quite emotional about it all. I was a Floydian at a young age and I knew the concert had an impact on me, but maybe didn't realise how much until this - which I personally see as DG's final tour / shows. I like some of his solo stuff but for me it is mainly about that magical Floyd sound of the later years. I am really happy to see a mix of old and new here - and I really want to see him play this at the Albert Hall. Looking back at the historic solo performances he has done since 06 I suspect a few are confirmed such as Comf Numb, Breathe, Time, Sorrow and possibly High Hopes but I would absolutely love to hear some rarer stuff such as Marooned, On the Turning Away, Terminal Frost, that kind of thing. One song I have never managed to capture live which is a personal fave is Welcome to Machine however I suspect this is a bit too Roger Waters for this. Ultimately I can't wait - and I really feel honoured that I get to be a part of it, especially having managed to be taken to Pulse as a kid.
Wow great share, many thanks. Ya, saw Pulse (Division Bell) tour twice, both in stadiums/field level. Only other Gilmour was his 2015 Brighton rehearsal gig. Agreed skipping ‘hits’ makes room for more DG Floyd/solo tunes. If you are keen, Setlist.fm has detailed lists of both Brighton rehearsals, which will likely mirror the tour…
❤❤❤I was there too with my son. Amazing concert. Goosebumps. We will see them again in London at The Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 9.10. Can't wait. Greetings Dirk Belgium
Right there with you. So grateful Polly and David opened their final rehearsals up to their adoring fans, and doubly grateful to have been able to attend.
You seem to walk straight past my seat at the beginning of this video, mustve got in before I did. It was a wonderful show and if this was rehearsal level then the main shows will be something special. The new material is spectacular, I think its his best solo album of the lot, was a lovely integration of older Floyd classics as well. But the cheer when he started Comfortably Numb as an Encore was like something I'd never heard in an audience before, people were pumping their fists in the air, whooping loudly. I didnt take any video personally, just a couple of pictures, this was an important one to get fully immersed in.
@DJVUK You walk right past me around the 36-38 seconds mark (sitting on the front row wearing shorts). Thank you for this unique piece of memorabilia! 😁
This confirms that Comfortably Numb will be played at the tour after David had said he’ll never play any Floyd songs that were co-written or solely written by Rog
The reason for that, is Roger Waters HATE WARS, and Polly Simson was MAKING a NASTY thing about R-W on X in 2023, i think she is a pro-Zionist after that comment🤔, about Roger🤫, BUT read it by your selv🤨, and PF biggest HIT, WAS with Roger Waters😎, and DG will sell EVERYTHING about Pink Floyd to Sony😭, for 500 million pesetas, UPS i mean Dollar.
They were ‘forbidden’ but Guy Pratt came out beforehand and asked folks to take short clips and photos as mementos but no flagrant vids & photos, hence my wee collection of a few photos and clips
@@DJVUKHe says the same thing at the Saucers shows, and I think that's grand. Understanding people like to have a memento, but also wanting them to enjoy the gig not the screens on their phones.
I feel ya. Bassist Guy Pratt actually came out before the show and told the audience that short clips and a few photos were ok but otherwise ‘be in the moment’ which everyone applauded. He also funnily instructed people to turn their phone flashlights off. But ya, people recording entire songs was a bit naughty. I avoided videoing any new songs to help keep them ‘fresh’ for me/others…
Yes this is the expected setlist, just over 50% Floyd from Dark Side, Wish, Wall, Lapse & Bell (heavy on the latter). Hopefully u can find not too $£¥ ticket/s
Guy Pratt came on before the show and said, that it was fine to take some photos and video, but you will have a better experience not looking at a screen. This post really captures the memory in this way.
DG corrected himself when he first spoke to the 1,500 in attendance: ‘Good evening. Good afternoon actually.’ When he walked off he still said ‘Good evening’ which it was, just…

Agreed Gilmour Jr. brought it
I was curious what they might do for Gig. Awesome!
I also cried on Between Two Points and Comfortably Numb guitar soli
You cried?

I will be in attendance at Madison Square Garden on November 9. So stoked!!! My favorite musician of all time.

The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think.
btw which one is Dave?
Some notes out of tune from David 😢. Sorry to say that…
It's a reality maybe he must stop now before... @belo1971
…and his dexterity wasn’t quite there. Two thoughts: 1) rehearsal performance and 2) 78
Thank you very much in deed.
You’re most welcome.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
I’m happy he plays the classic "Numb" song.
What a day! Well worth the 500 mile round trip!
Glad you were able to make the trek. Whilst in the queue met fans from Portsmouth & Burnley (who funny enough beat P’sth 2-1 yesterday, go figure).
A true delight, thank you! 🎸🍾❤️

Hi. Ya, for me getting a few shortish vid clips of the show was not too invasive, allowed pretty much full focus on the unique experience.
@DJVUK You walk right past me around the 36-38 seconds mark (sitting on the front row wearing shorts). Thank you for this unique piece of memorabilia! 😁
Cool! Dig the sandals = you were embracing the mild beachy weather. Don’t expect there’ll be many shorts & sandals @ RAH next month…
@DJVUK Yes, I'll definitely be leaving the shorts and sandals at home for the RAH (I'm going on Saturday 12th). 😁

I have just seen the UK. tour dates - all in London, what about your hard core fans in the North and Midlands !!
Only four cities worldwide on this tour.
Phones and cameras weren't forbidden?

Who is that guitar player to David’s right our left it looked like Pete twonshwnd

Disappointing how some people ignored the 'no videos' rule during the show. It felt disrespectful and took away from the experience.
