Here I am sharing with you an unboxing of these Shokz Open Move Bone Conduction Headphones and my initial thoughts/first impression of them. I am also sharing with you pros and cons of these headphones, as well as why I specifically wanted these instead of some other running headphones/earphones.

I quite like mine. Quality music sounds surprisingly nice
Glad you like it. I really enjoy them just to listen to podcasts. They feel comfortable and secure. Connectivity is reliable too. Thanks for watching 🤗
@@YuennyLam only slight problem I'm having is that voices seem to be more over to the right side on this device you can move the balance one which I have. It seems that position of the ' sound pads' is critical.
@@pauledwards5573 I do find that the headphones don't stay put and does move about during my runs. It's not the best set of headphones out there but they work really well for what I need them for. I'm sure technology and designs will only improve in the future 🤞
Thanks for the detailed explanation 👍
You're welcome. Are you looking to buy these too?
@@YuennyLam yeah I have already bought..but the product yet to deliver to me
Hope you enjoy it 😊
Oh wow. Seen something like this before but never looked into it in detail. Funny I got some new headphones too recently - hence my video. 😂
Yeah these headphones are really interesting. Really good to go running with 😊 I saw your video pop up and I'll be watching that later today 👍
Hi, I have a random question: Did yours come with earplugs? I convinced myself that mine came with a pair of earplugs with a translucent case which I can no longer find. It drives me mad not remembering if there was a pair or not.
It might be that I've just seen them in someone else's RUclips video. It could be that the OpenMove headset used to come with earplugs before AfterShokz rebranded to just Shokz and slightly changed the packaging and content...
Hope you can help me to put my mind at ease...
I'd be the same and it would drive me nuts not able to remember 😄 Mine didn't come with earplugs, no. Everything I showed in the video is what came in the box. I wouldn't be surprised that companies try to cut costs and like you said, could be a decision they made after they rebranded. They probably realised that most people don't use/need earplugs so decided to reduce waste. I didn't get any in my OpenMove box. Hope this has helped? Do you think you'd need the earplugs?
EDIT: after reading your comment, I had a little Google and apparently they send a pair of earplugs with every SHOKZ headphones 🤔 Well, I definitely didn't get any in my box!!
Mine didn't have any!
Great review. I tried Bone conduction headphones a decade ago when the technology just wasn’t there.
Unlike you, my genetics didn’t leave me much hair to worry about but that’s good to know it can get in the way.
Like you I’m interested in being able to be spatially aware of my environment. I want to be able to listen to music or be on a phone call and hear someone approaching me or an electric scooter or bicycle coming up behind me.
My sport is weightlifting and the only time I see these getting in the way is when I’m bench pressing and the back of my head is pressed against the bench.
Good review, I appreciate the smaller channels perspective.
It makes such a difference being able to hear your surroundings while out and about, especially when it's dark. I also find that I try not to stop when I cross the road, so I'm already looking out for cars that might turn at junctions and being able to hear really helps with making a quick decision to cross the road quicker. Although electric cars these days are rather silent 😒
Yeah, I can see the back of the headphones getting in your way a bit, but they're quite flexible and sit kind of low on the back of your head so it might not get in the way too much.
Thank you for clicking on the video and taking the time to leave a lovely comment. Much appreciated 🤗
