I was looking through the numbers on exotic armors, and noticed that the feel the flames buff you get from a verity’s brow warlock throwing their grenade gives you ten times the grenade regen speed, for up to ten seconds. A hoil Titan gets a 5x regen speed for their nade. This with 100 discipline and kickstart should give you a storm grenade in .98 seconds. Don’t really know how practical or fruitful this would be, but food for thought.
One bit of advice is to not focus so heavily on delicate tomb. Use a Voltshot weapon (brigands law, tarnished mettle, or posterity next season). Every time you jolt and kill a target, it makes 2 traces. This frees up arbalest/witherhoard or any special kinetic weapon, as well as any exotic heavy if using a legendary kinetic. I’ve been using this all season, and it’s actually my favorite of all the arc subclasses in raid scenario and even Gms/dungeons. As we get more Voltshot weapons, this build will only become more powerful.
Delicate tomb is good, but I don’t like many builds to be focused around a special weapon. Crown of tempest can be used in solo play, but I just focus on Sunstar.
Although the damage resist is nice, heavy handed and some way to get charged with light (either the mod for fusion rifle, or a well mod+elemental charge) is also really good. Not really for the melee energy, but for spamming your fusion rifle since you will most likely be surrounded most of the time. Or.. maybe it works even when not charged with light, which means you can trade it for slightly less damage reduction.
What about pairing this with Divinity? It looks like the Scheduled Nerf will only lower Div users to "basic Linear damage levels" but the crit cage will still be extremely useful. But the cage will also add extra damage to the Arc Soul. Getaway artist is amplified on demand also, so that might be the play?
3months later after running all 4 classes in battlegrounds, I've settled on a similar build but using coldheart instead. Shreds everything in half not named bosses and leaves your kinetic slot open to whatever you want. Been running hella fast through everything and using a succession or praydeths depending on how I'm feeling. Overall, more than anything, it's just fun. Constant speed boost and never needing a primary is so diffy. Also pls buff stormtrance
Arc soul is still good in GMS though. Because even though you don’t have 6 bodies. You do have a 25% damage buff from arc burn on 5/6 strikes this season. Not to mention it can break arc shields.
Wow. I actually made a build similar to this back when Fallen Sunstar and Delicate Tomb came out, but I never thought about the damage potential, just the absurd ability regen. And yeah... Arc Lock is honestly my least favorite subclass overall. The weakest imo compared to the rest. Including on Titan and Hunter. That said, I still like doing an Emperor Palpatine impression every now and then.
Arc subs as a whole have always felt meh to me specially when I usally like electric based playstyles in games, I'm not sure what it is but good build idea though
You have any Hunter builds you can throw at us? I’m still unsure what to do with stasis other than running duskfield and the exotic but even with 100 disc and 4 firepower mods that shit doesn’t feel too good to me anymore 😢
I was talking about revenant with him the other day. That build is still fine, but nowhere near as good as before the nerf. At this point, you might just want to use shadebinder since it does a better job on every level. Overall, revenant hunter is pretty much its weakest subclass in pve. Maybe next season with some exotic adjustments and all, revenant could have potential
Question about the amplified portion of the damage increase. Does each guardian need to be amplified for the damage increase of their arc buddies, or only the warlock that places the rift?
All of the calculations are made assuming that nobody has the amplified soul. Unsure if other classes can amplify the soul with amplified, but I'd imagine they probably can
My clan leader swears by the melee, even in a team scenario, and I swear by the arc soul. Glad to see that arc soul is actually fairly decent. Kinda unfortunate that stormcaller has very few options in terms of exotics, that are specific to it. Sunstar definitely being the play for this. I’m kinda glad that we now have a build for all the subclasses for warlock, do you think you’d ever do these level of in depth guides for the other two classes?
Who says I cant use lumina WITH arc souls for everyone?😏 the question is, would boots of assembler be worth it or should I run something like lunafaction?
I don't think stormcaller is a worse version of arc hunter at all. Arcstrider only got the super tbh, the whole subclass is melee focused, wich is arguably the worst thing to use in Master and GM content. Titan is just too busted and needs massive nerfs so it dies forever.
Unfortunately, I feel like people conveniently forget that you could make the same "pretend that all the extra damage belongs to the warlock!" measurement when looking at well. 25% extra damage on all LFRs > arc soul + super. Not to mention that a lot of DPS phases only really work because you have a NO-DYING button for 30 seconds with well. EDIT: To be clear, I don't think you did this, but I see a bunch of folks forgetting that because of the upcoming arc soul buffs
Imma keep it a hundred percent honest. Crown of tempests is just better than sunstar if you’re using arc souls, as they count for arc ability kills. No reason to run sunstar at this time when crown buffs ability uptime by so much. As for delicate tomb, I just don’t think that’s a good option. I’d rather say to run a volt shot primary while using arby or wither. This is the one build of yours I heavily disagree with. Good video.
Too bad Arc Souls seem to be the only reason to use this class - I just think they are rather boring to use and visually kinda lame The melee can never compete with Combination Blow in high level content and the nades can't compete with Touch of Tunder Storms. Chaos Reach is a joke compared to what Gathering Storm and Thundercrash can do. It doesn't even look as cool as it used to :/
As a sucker for warlock I partially feel, that all warlock subclasses are kinda worse versions of other classses, exept for well (not solar sublcass, only well) and maybe stasis
Void? dafaq you mean. This applies only to arc warlock. Solar has well/fusion dps (could also have bottom tree if it werent removed) and Void has near 100% uptime on weaken and devour on demand
@@vrontheweb3749 Solar has well. Fusion dps is unique, but easly outclassed by other class dps alternatives and with void, hunter has also 100% time weaken AND invis AND even bigger debuff on super. AND devour can have anyone by picking orb of light, which can be created even by killing weakend target * cough * hunter * cough *. Warlock has devour on demand only with exotic taken, and empowering rift, so it costs way more than just eating nade before, which you could have even faster than rift.
@@domino960 invis is pretty useless outside of pvp. With heart of the pack removed it only helps you skip enemies for speedrun GMs. Tether lasts what 15s? Fusion dps is only outclassed by damage supers (cuirass, star eater bb) given that you can throw nades plus weapon damage.
Nah bro void is better now imo. Child of the Old God's is insanely useful in GMs and Master level content. Got my first flawless Glassway GM the other day with it.
Your videos are PvE Cammy Cakes videos imo
Truth
But with more Breaking Bad
Great way of describing it
Glad to see that your idea came to fruition! I really wasn’t expecting Arc soul to deal that much extra damage…wow

Coldheart on Dattos build is amazing. Please give it a try and never look back
I keep making the joke with my friends that arc hunters became arc titans, arc titans became arc warlock and arc warlock became arc hunters.
Recently attempted an arc soul build myself, but definitely gonna try this out tomorrow!
delicate tomb does more damage when hipfiring btw :D
We need a warlock arc build that can match the power of assassins cowl hunters and heart of inmost light titans

New Imagine video, we have been blessed
Were your dps calculations with 6x amplified arc souls or 5x normal arc souls with 1 amplified?
6 non-amplified ones. Realistically your damage will be higher than the numbers in the video, but the calculations are assuming a worst case scenario.
