Granted they made the graphic they used but if it were an atm, im sure they would have seen the atm’s name on the statement not walgreens.

Here’s the thing, it’s assumed the village has credit cards that the board doesn’t know about and it has the ones they do know about. So why can’t the board pull a credit report and see what cards are in the village’s name? They don’t have the records but they could get the records from the issuing company. They can also get the purchases records from places like Amazon, Wayfair and the rest.

Here’s the thing, it’s assumed the village has credit cards that the board doesn’t know about and it has the ones they do know about. So why can’t the board pull a credit report and see what cards are in the village’s name? They don’t have the records but they could get the records from the issuing company. They can also get the purchases records from places like Amazon, Wayfair and the rest.
Good idea, but, if it were possible, Lightfoot would have pursued it, don't you think?

Epic!❤ Reminds me of Rita Crundwell. She was the town treasurer for Dixon, Illinois from 91-2012. In that time she stole over 53 million dollars. The town ended up getting all the money back by selling all her assets (it was a lot of assets). Plus they were able to sue the bank for not doing their job. I think she got 20 years in prison. Not sure about how many years but I think I’m right about that. 🤦♀️
