Ein wirklich tolles Auto! Ich hoffe nur, dass die Nackenstützen bei aufrechtem sitzen nicht dauernd gegen den Hinterkopf schlagen. Wenn ja,muss der Sitz aufgepolstert werden. Aber so ist es ein fantastisches Auto! Gut gemacht!

My only three issues with it are: abscesses of a frunk and +2 rear seats as well as excess weight. If those were solved, this would be one for the books!

I think they have missed the mark on this one.....the MX5 older couples aren't going to make the jump in price and the younger one's would find it hard to not get a nice used Porsche ,Audi or even an Aston for that money. Should have been half the power and half the money imo 👍
It needs twice the power because it has twice the weight.

@@bwarey52 convertible are lifestyle vehicles for a different customer segment. Cars do not only follow production cost, when it comes to sales price. More things to consider: lower volume for the model, structural rigidity and safety measures are very different.
@@EverydayRoadster that's my point it's a lifestyle car and it's the same price as a very new Aston Martin or Porsche. The people who are buying MGs in the UK are the same age and social demographic that bought the old MGF or an Mx5. The spec and price is aimed at the wrong customer imo
@@bwarey52 yupp, I guess we have to wait and see how it goes. However, for the Porsche EV Roadsters coming next year, I'd expect double the price is called for what MG is asking.

That door sensor is terrible, the Tesla model X has similar in the falcon doors and yet they're invisible.....cost cutting i think

If you have any influence at all, please get the wheel manufacturers make left and right hand rims as one side always spins round the wrong way
We need know about the battery quality for long term, because this brand from China, but I love all China car design and features now so futuristic and good looking.

What's it actually like to get in and out of, especially with roof up? All reviewers I've seen so far are happily stepping in with the roof down, but with roof up and having to bend into a low sports car with door up in air? Are there grab handles anywhere? Is door solidly in air to hold, or does it wobble if you hold it.
Really should have got rid of some of the gimmicks - less screens, silly sports effect button and cut the price. MG4 xpower is pretty much same car underneath but is €46,000 for better performance than single motor Cyberster will offer. So additional €35000 gets you?
Good point about the roof but as an MX-5 owner, I’d imagine it’s as awkward as all of them. The buttons inside to close the doors will help though.
I have a Cyberster on order and test drove it at the Bangkok Motorshow recently. Very impressed but I share the concerns about the doors. All the inspections and getting in and out were never with a car parked alongside. I wonder what the distance the ultrasonic sensors are programmed to. Getting in and out with nothing around it top up or down is no issue. MG at one point included a "summon" feature whereby the car can be moved in and out of a parking space with the key fob. Perhaps addressing the potentially tight entry issue. However the product manager said that function will not be made available in Thailand. Hmmm,,, If you park in a shopping mall lot and then a large car parks alongside it's not so bad with a conventional door as a 30% opening you can still squeeze in. But 30% opening of the scissor door it simply won't allow such a gymnastics entry. I guess lowering the roof and window and jumping in Steve McQueen style?! 😊 At the Motorshow were numerous Chinese brands and several with scissors doors. Must be a trendy thing. They tell me the delivery schedule for mid July still stands. 1000 preorders thus far in Thailand.
@@NobbyOnCarsI heard the roof and all the surrounding paraphernalia and even glass are sourced from BMW as it is the very same as the Z4. I suspect buying those parts from BMW is not a bargain! 😁

Look at the line up of MG models already.All dreadful. And what 60,000 euro! MG are having a laugh. Think of BMW Z4 M40i, [manual!] Toyota Supra, GR86, Alpine 110, a late TT RS..the list goes on. [Okay so not EV , i get that.] China can keep this 'nonsense' to themselves. Said before, just make it stop!
Sorry to say MG are introducing 3 new models including a 4 door saloon with 497 mile range and solid state battery and 2 SUVs. One which looks like a Ferrari. 13:54 Theyre not going anywhere 😂.
