    This aquascape represents fossilized tusks of some prehistoric animal. The tusks are in a shallow river and stick out of the water,plants grow around the tusks and fish swim between them. How accurate this scene can be I’m not sure, but this is art and everything is allowed :) Are these mammoth or mastodon tusks or even woolly rhino horns??? I'll leave that to your imagination ;)
    Anyway, I'm fascinated by prehistoric animals and that's why I decided to make one aquascape on that subject...
    Thanks for watching and enjoy!!!

    Love the editing style bro. Amazing and super entertaining! I hope you will be able to overcome the algae soon. I think those lights might be too powerful for the amount of plants you have in the tank so I dont know if cutting down the ferts will help. You are the expert. I am interested to see where this gets in the next update. Million congrats on reaching 60k subs, you totally deserve it and keep up the awesome work my friend.

    Green algae, some suggestions: floating plants; make sure the heating is set to 23 degrees centigrade; let fast growing stem plants grow across 50% of the surface for a time; add a tannin to the water; add an electrolysis system; try a shorter photoperiod, maybe only 6 hours for a while; have a mid-day lighting break; only use fast growing plants; check nitrate/phosphate levels and keep levels low, there are some very good filter resin scrubbers available, Rowa is excellent; add green algae eating fish; increase number of shrimps significantly. To be honest never had much luck reducing green algae with livestock though duration of lighting has often made a big difference for me. If the water starts to go green, a UV filter is your best friend. Water changes only help if the nitrate levels in the freshly added water are lower than those in the tank. Good video, nice tank, but beige sand would be too much work for me, substrate that matches the colour of fish poop is best, let the filter do the work...

      Add Doctor chihiros electrolysis system from Ali express, its damn cheap and works well.
      Add seach flourish Excel.
      Add a UV filter again from Ali express.
      Add 25-50 Amano , 5 siamese and 5 otto sinclis for the heavy duty cleaning.
      You'll get the results you need.

    • @williammcdowell6257
      @williammcdowell6257 3 года назад +1

      @@preritsrivastava9438 It is an electrolysis device (which I mentioned) - electrolysis has in my experience a limited positive effect, particularly on a new set-up, on more mature tanks its effects are very difficult to assess. Proportionally I would tentatively suggest that Phosphate is your number one enemy for green algae followed quickly by long lighting periods and temperatures above 25 degrees centigrade. CO2 will of course make plants grow faster which will give algae of all types less opportunity. Good luck with the hobby.

    Some differences - to control algae, no need to reduce fertilizers by 50%. In fact, it should be the opposite, dose more, because the root cause for algae is either low plant bio mass or poor/slow plant growth. If plants grow healthy, algae is automatically gone! Maybe reduce lighting and increase c02 a bit (keeping it safe for the livestock).

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  4 года назад +1

      Yes these are juveniles. They get bigger, they can be a little destructive. But in this tank they can't do any major damage because there is no soil just sand. So they have nothing to mix. The substrate is all the way under the sand.

    Reduce ferts ? In my opinion reducing your ferts will not help. Keep ferts the same. Plants need it. The algae thrives in low nutrient environments. Also if you reduce the ferts therefore less available to plants and then they become lacking in nutrients what may cause poor growth and result to algea.

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  4 года назад

      Yes, you are right,it makes sense. But I use tropica fertilizer and on the package it says in case of algae reduce the dose by 50%. I did that before with another type of algae and it worked. If this is a silk algae as I think it is, it appears in nutrient-rich waters. This tank is not so heavily planted,it is possible that I overdid it with fertilizer. I'll try this and we'll see what happens.

    • @KeysTanks

      @@vladimirstojanovic3603 I understand and I would follow the same process. Although with you low plant mass I feell that it may be your lighting. But I'd always make sure you have checked your nitrogen and co2 levels. More so the co2 if that has fluctuated and you have changed the ammount causing the tank to unbalance or moved the lights also.
