When I was first starting work in the seventies I saw a man painting the underside of his brand new auto after the paint dried he then using old oil he began to oil over the paint. When I asked why he was doing that to a brand new car his reply was that he did it to stop the rusting. He kept his cars for up to ten years and when the new owner checked, the underside was almost new metal underneath the car. So oiling your car regularly does work better than undersealing it.
Looks like you got the best end of that deal. Tough old trucks those International s.. Looks like you have a great Rottie there. Knows when You get a new truck. Very Cool
Our maintenance department at the casimo I used to work at had an 84 S1800 4x4 plow truck. It was a single axle dump truck we used as a pusher. O can't remember if it was the 466 or 420 diesel engine. I want say it had the 466 because we had a 07 Dodge 3500 with the 5.9 24v Cummins and he prefered the 6cyl diesel engine easier to work on. Awesome truck by the way. 😊
I would love to have a truck like that 4700! It would be a fun little project rig to fix up and pretty up and do some upgrades and mods and tow trailers with
Now , try finding NEW parts for that corn binder, hard if not impossible , several people in my area sold their I H because of hard to get parts, can get chevy / Ford/ kw parts easy . Wishing you the best 👌
Hundred percent my friend. I agree with you on that undercoating shit I like oiling the shit I use APC oil it’s black I never have a problem with rust. I have two of these trucks love them one has the 7.3 in the other one has the DT 466 ones and automatic in the other ones in standard
@@99Projects thanks. it is a work in progress. Cab floor boards was a disaster, body needs cross members and working lights are a must at night. Other then that the engine has a nice smooth idle. Original miles 294,000
@@towoperator always good to have projects man, i cant remember if i said it in the video, but these trucks are at least twice as durable as the best 1 ton dually on the market and they usually cost half the price
My truck broke down that I used to pull my camper with so I had to use my dump truck to pull it. The dump truck is a 1987 ford L9000 with L10 Cummins. Got tons of looks at the campsite towing a camper with a dump truck. Now that’s way overkill! 😂
Pretty nice truck, how do you like the 5 speed spicer? I have it in my m35a2, the only thing that's annoying is I can't do much over 45-50 mph without overrevving it. I wanted to install an overdrive kit but those things are pretty much phased out
My buddy had a 70’s chrysler that he uses for a winter ride in vt. Every spring he sprays the whole underside with used motor oil. Sprays inside the body panels too. It would drip and stink all summer but never rusted.

Solid. Those are in the top 10 best trucks ever made.

The lil red truck is a cool old truck 👍, don't think I could have let it go.
I may be getting another one lol
I love this truck, is a best truck in colombia, good truck

The coatings are garbage
Maxie wants to drive, Dad!!!
Looking like you made a damn good trade. NICE!
Thank you
I always wanted to do an RV hauler with one of these trucks.
Swap in a mechanical dt466 with an eaton fuller 6 plus low or the international 6 plus. Then turn that motor up and have some fun 😎
Love your dog
Thank you, he does everything with me
This truck is a cool truck you traded a jem of an old school truck for it
Nice rig. I have a 1996 13 letter shit spreader international roll back with the T444E 5 spd spicer
Nice, I see the truck in your profile pic. Cool looking rig 👍

Sweet I miss that one!
So i was watching your video, and all of a sudden, im like, wait, what? He's driving on Gifford Road! 🤣 small world.
Oh yea, must be local, that’s cool
I have some almost brand new FS561 take-off Firestone tires , complete with 8 lug wheels 245/70/19.5 ....I'd sell them cheap. They'll fit that 4700.
That w9 wut brought ur 4700 is the real deal
yea it was a sweet rig
Sumter wrecker
That K Whopper has a set of big cans.
Yea that was a nice truck
99, u had made a great deal trading ur dump truck for the Internation truck. alittle work and a bed, she will
be abeast to drive.. lv how u got her.
Yea!! i actually just picked up a bed for it so thatll be coming out at some point
Fluid film is the way to go it is great
100%, only thing I use
I want to get something like this 4700 to pull my camper with. Overkill, I know, lol
no such thing as over kill, you just have to get a bigger camper

Whoa that’s dangerous man
I liked the video. Wanted to see them bumper lights at night. Hint hint
Nice truck
But that semi truck sounds like the 1998 international 3800 Thomas school bus
Cause it’s the same engine.
What type of brakes? Just wondering about if ya need a CDL .
Cool Project Truck. How is it on fuel? Any Updates?
It did ok on fuel, I never checked it, I’ll do an update on some of these older videos in a future video

i like the spicer, it shifts good and its probably geared different in the 4700, i had it up to 65 a couple times and it had more
wow nice truck you made out in that deal
Thanks
Banks turbo kit, change your life!
Really nice
Thank you
What kind of creeping oil do you use for rust prevention?
Usually the cheapest stuff I can find. Any creeping oil works about the same in my experience.
My buddy had a 70’s chrysler that he uses for a winter ride in vt. Every spring he sprays the whole underside with used motor oil. Sprays inside the body panels too. It would drip and stink all summer but never rusted.
Sometimes no music is good music.. wanna hear the engine purr lol
Yea, this was an older video. There’s a lot that goes into editing. I learn ad I go
Those are some bald tires!
it'd be much better at the end, if during your test drive, you left the real sounds on without any music.
Got 2000 international 4700
What’s your experience with it
👍🏻👏🏻
what type bed you going to put on it?
New video coming soon will go over that
I like max!
Me too! Thanks
Oil undercoating is the way to go
What year is yours
1997
@@99Projects sweet truck.ive got the 92 with the mechanical dt4666. And a 8 speed
@@digger_jon2778 excellent, the mechanical engines are the way to go
Hope you didn't find out them internationals are a mechanical nightmare
is this the 310 dollar dump truck you traded?
Yes…it wasn’t $310 bucks but I did trade a dump truck for it
You totally need to put a visor on it.
i 100% agree
What's up
Hi
Bros farting bad
That’s a RIGHTEOUS tat on your right arm!.
Hahha my dog does the exact same thing.
