That was something that I didn't know that I need, until listen to and notice that YEEESSSS. Olivia and boygenius, two incredible worlds colliding.
The original version is great but I just love how much feeling you pour into every song, Olivia - you sing so effortlesly, yet full of passion. You truly are a gem!❤

As it popped in my feed while I was working in the dead of the night, and I played it, it instantly became my work-time song in the background. Been still listening to this relentlessly since then. It's definitely got some magic to this rendition.
I just can't stop listening to the last verse, her sweet delicate heartbreaking changes of mood her final poignant smile that leads to the words 'probably isn't true'. Anyone who has loved and lost will understand. ❤

Even though we know it isn't true
Love the original so so much and the fact this arrangement doesn't include percussion. Without the layers of guitar picking, even with the addition of the bass, it’s feels less “percussive” and structured and more stripped back. It’s so “soft” in what feels like a really polar opposite way to the way the boys go about it in the original, which makes for an excellent cover imo.
The original also doesn’t have any percussion
I heard this version before even knowing about boygenious and it blew my mind. So simple and smooth yet really emotional. Just a gem ;)
