    I would mention two things. 1. No thermal paste or pads between the transistors and the heatsink. 2. DO NOT charge Li-Ion batteries in series and without charging controller. These "easy" circuits has no protections for the battery, which is a big problem, especially with variable input power coming from a solar panel.

      I’ve had two 18650 start overheating to the point the plastic wrap was melting separate event & different commercially available chargers in 6 months
      I built a simple circuit with relay for cut off a couple diodes and 5v cord 2 1/2 years ago still no problem 😊

    good circuit. regulate by the zeno diode. When the input is high, The transitor drain high powers. When the input is low, the low voltage to the output.
    If the output port in case of low or zero voltage at night is connected to the battery, is there no reverse current?

      Gerek yok ama sen bu manyağın bağladığı gibi 3tane lityum iyon bataryayı bu şekilde şarj koruma kartı olmadan bağlama yeterli.birde o zener diyotun arasina bi pot koyarak voltajı az daha yükseltip 14.4v kadar akü şarjı yapabilirsin 13volt aküyü tam şarj etmez en az 13.8volt olması gerekir en fazlada 15volt 14.4 idealdir.

    The maximum charge voltage for a lithium ion cell is 4.2 volts. 3 * 4.2 = 12.6. Charging to a higher voltage WILL damage the cells.
    Your soldering would embarrass a 9-year old child.
    Wires need to be twisted or wrapped, not tack-soldered. You are building for a failure.

    I have 12 solar panels of 40 volts 5 amps each. Suggest me to charge 36 volts battery using regulator or suitable SMPS.

      It’s tiny. It’s just the transistor that’s handling everything. The extra mosfet aren’t doing anything

      @@ranjithjayakody9541 That would depend on the MOSFET used and Zener diode. There's a few things about this design that may get you into trouble at some point, but it will work if you really just cant afford to build a commercial one.

      Exactly…. Everything is going through that little transistor….. why have 4 mosfet ganged up? There output is totally bottlenecked.use one tiny mosfet add two pots to make the controller to a power mosfet…..
      But TBH that’s why they make ic that do this already….. the are cheap.
