Great video ,I've been looking for this tutorial for over 2 months and finally you made one on how to change the USB port out yourself. I'm definitely going to do that project myself instead of taking my car to the dealorship because I have the same problem on my 2015 Dodge Charger thanks for the heads up
Felton Griffin well glad it helped you out yea i was looking to but i took it to the guy who works on our cars and he showed me how to do it so i said i gotta make a video for other people cause i know how it is not being able to find something lol
Note: This is exactly like a 2017 Chrysler 300S. Unfortunately my issue is in the wiring. I thump the center console and it switches over to radio. Also happens when hitting bumps in the road. But thanks for this video. I was able to remove it and isolate the issue using your vudeo.
bsweasel74 mine did that to cause the aux port was loose i had to move the wire plus i think ima have to get another one soon here cause it seems like this aux is getting loose i need to glue brackets from the tip of the wire to the port on both sides so the wire don’t move and get the port looser cause some of my friends like to use the aux instead of bluetooth or carplay anyways glad this video helped you
Subbed I haven't used my aux In 1 year i think part of my aux cord got stuck in there ,I was too lazy to fix but when I decided to look for videos none popped up until I saw this ! Thanks
Thanks for the video. I am replacing those floor air vents on the cover, mine broke a few slats. Do I need a slim tool to push in on the case tabs from the outside?
So your replacing the vents that’s on the cover with the usbs right? hum im not sure what you need just pull it off and look to get the cover off use a flat head screw driver to help take it off good luck
How do I get the ports to work in the back of the console. My passengers can't charge their phones. Mine is a 2017 chrysler 300. I can't find anything on yourube.
My carplay started messing up, phones not charging regardless of official/brand new cables used - out of warranty so I ordered the media hub/2 usb and aux ports, as pulling fuses helped a bit but don't now. Seeing this helped a lot, I don't think I'd have figured it out until it was too late too! Did you ever replace the USB ports too? If so, did it fix your USB issues?
Hum i haven’t used carplay in a while i think someone on fb said there’s was messing up to i have to try mine and see but yes i got one out of a challenger paid 100 bucks kinda pricey i need another one though cause now my aux port is loose again and it don’t work gotta find some way to brace the aux cord once its in so it don’t move i might put a brace going across over the usbs if i can find one i wasn’t having usb issues it was my aux mainly then when i tried pulling the unit out i messed the usbs up
@@just_a5.7 i got it from this little shop aka garage that sells used cars and some for parts but they mostly just sell cars it was $100 kinda expensive i think and now the aux is messed up again i need to make a bracket to hold the aux cord in place so it don’t move
Jacob Summers hum don’t really remember but i think theres tabs behind the wires that you push in then it will pull out if i think about it tomorrow ill try and make a video so be on the look out or just subscribe to my channel and hit the bell then you will know when or if i make a video
Nina Monroe um not really sure cause i never had a 2014 but i would think so if the port is in the same place if your not sure you can try calling dodge but good luck cause i called to see if they can tell me how to take mine out and they said they didn’t know so they probably wanted me to bring it in and spend money for the part and money to install it the part is $165 at dodge but i got the part for only $100 at a used car garage that had some cars for parts

That i don’t know about sorry call your dealer and ask them maybe
Thanks man
My port is inside the armrest in my 2014 charger and do I stll have to remove that piece or is it an easier method for that part?
